Seems like a good guy. I watch a lot of these videos, but I'm no expert. But this guy has to be one of, if not THE toughest out there. But not a mean personality, and very forthright about how he felt losing a bike race (hey, c'mon, Nick, don't beat yourself up for THAT!) . It seems like he feels he's being used, though, and I'm sure he IS - it's the nature of professional fighting- just set em' up for the bucks. I realize the timing of matchups can be critical and tricky, but ALL fighters are human beings, and need time to rest up and recuperate, and be with friends and family.

i think he's trying to say he got fucked up in the leg in his last fight, and they made him fight again so soon. Not enough time to recover fully. So he thinks there trying to set him up to lose. All in all, he has great mma I.Q. and he makes more money than most of us, accomplished more than most of us. On top of that he's socially awkward which makes him an even badder and crazier character. Now he's what i call a fighter.

Sorry for the long messages I just wanted to get my whole point across so we didn't end up in an argument as most people on youtube decide to argue about everything. I'm one of the few honest ones. The #1 thing you must ask yourself before smoking weed is: Is it worth the risk? For me it was as I was depressed. Guess what? After about a month of daily use my depression was gone. It did trigger panic attacks though sometimes. Then I got check up and my heart was fine so now i'm good to go. Peace!

Not only a Great MMA fighter, but a true martial artist. That's why, IMO, he never seems happy when he talks about his matches. It's not traditional, but it made him rich. Martial Arts are for self defense. I'm sure he struggles with that. Obligated to make that money, cuz he comes from the streets tho. But look how he turned into a happy kid, when Triathlon came up!!! @Jaremus Nick Diaz was in the UFC, got into an altercation with Joe Riggs after a fight, then he chose to leave the UFC to fight for his coach's attempt at a fight promotion; that promotion failed and Diaz went to Elite XC, then Strikeforce. Dana White was very dismissive of bringing Diaz back to the UFC after that whole fiasco where the Diaz brothers, Melendez, and Shields jumped Jason Miller. However, times has changed so Diaz could come back.
@Jaremus13 жыл бұрын
@riceburner888 I know he was in the UFC. I remember his transition from mainly BJJ to a complete fighter. His fight with Robbie Lawler that shocked everyone. Basically you said the same thing. They were hesitant to bring him back because he's unstable. Not because they don't like him.

@riceburner888 The big difference being- Pride ceased to exist, so they had to unify titles, having two champions for each division. That does not neccesarily have to be the case with Strikeforce. i'm always entertained by this guy, whether it be his fights or interviews
He tries to kick me in my leg...that's not a fair fight! Classic ...

Hahahhaha best bit
Seems like a good guy. I watch a lot of these videos, but I'm no expert. But this guy has to be one of, if not THE toughest out there. But not a mean personality, and very forthright about how he felt losing a bike race (hey, c'mon, Nick, don't beat yourself up for THAT!) . It seems like he feels he's being used, though, and I'm sure he IS - it's the nature of professional fighting- just set em' up for the bucks. I realize the timing of matchups can be critical and tricky, but ALL fighters are human beings, and need time to rest up and recuperate, and be with friends and family.
Nick is really passionate about everything he says I love that dude. Would be hella funny though if someone made a cartoon animation where he's literally fighting blind opponents and him saying that lol
Nick is awesome!! I love how he keeps hearing voices in his head and looks around for them :) seriously though, a great fighter!!!
I always diss Nick Diaz, but I have to admit, this guy is on a mission! That was an awesome fight with Paul Daley.
I love watching Nick Diaz interviews. Dude's so off the wall it's scary.
this guy is an absolute warrior and ass kicker...one of the p4p best fighters..the guy always brings it.
I don't think I'd get along with him, but I give him props for being who he is regardless of the political rules. And for winning exciting fights, which is all that really should matter. Too many fighters try too hard to be "ideal" professionals, and it gets boring. If you don't like him, try to beat him. Till then, he's the champ and can behave how he wants.
@cooldoodleofastorp i might be wrong but it might be cause when the fight ended nick shoved a camera over so it would film how daley couldnt get up and also you can see a close up of daley and nicks finger pointing at daleys face only a few inches away and i think some of the security pulled him away
NICK AND GSP, come on Dana!!!

To Live is to Suffer yeah I just found it...you got that right
Diaz is a hilarious interview, obviously Helwani will keep interviewing him
i think he's trying to say he got fucked up in the leg in his last fight, and they made him fight again so soon. Not enough time to recover fully. So he thinks there trying to set him up to lose. All in all, he has great mma I.Q. and he makes more money than most of us, accomplished more than most of us. On top of that he's socially awkward which makes him an even badder and crazier character. Now he's what i call a fighter.
We need.one more from Nick I'd.love to see it
@Jaremus Not only GSP's takedowns are a problem, GSP's cardio and his methodical striking are more threats. I hope we see title unification bouts later this year; I mean, when Pride got bought out, they went through it so I hope Strikeforce does the same.
he called him Nate at the end :))
nice to see his mood swings when ariel asks him about the triathlon
@2:46 did Nick just say "indecisiveness?" Wow... that's a big word for him lol.
say what you want about the diaz bros they come to fight and to entertain you any real person could respect that about anybody
You couldn't wipe thar smile off.
lov watchn nick!!!!
@BlariX Yeah I made a mistake and I corrected it. He's fought twice this year, 3 times last year and twice in 09! That's literally the workload of a mid-tier UFC fighter. He'll probably fight only once more this year whether it be in boxing or MMA.
He definitely suffer from social anxiety he is always looking around for whatever reason.

this is crazy cause u commented this 9 years ago, but it’s just hood tendencies man that’s why he’s lookin around like that just kinda always on guard that’s how u gotta be to survive in the places he grew up in
Hilarious. Diaz needed psychological management during the course of his career. His frustration manifested itself within his career. One of the best of all time. 👏🏼

I don't get the point that you're trying to make, but needing psychological help isn't a sign of weakness.

Dark Magician how is that what he’s saying?
What' where and When ?!?!?!? Nick plz answer me
I agree with what he say's about too many fights. He's fought 5 tough fights within 2 years and they want him to get in the cage already with GSP? I love this man as a fighter. He's tough as nails.
luv watchin diaz fight!!
@Themuffinman5466 true seems like a really nice guy as soon as he talks about it.. its as if he has much more passion for it or something
he go all happy when they started talking about triathlon lol
@Jaremus A question I'm curious about is if somehow Shield wins the welterweight belt ( I'm giving Shields a very slim benefit of the doubt here), will Diaz clamor for a unification title shot? However, I'm predicting that GSP and Diaz will have an epic showdown to determine the best welterweight in the world.
@HBKCommish He said in another interview somewhere he said if he could make money doing triathlons he would give up MMA in a heartbeat.
diaz with another awesome interview :)
When Nate puts McGregor away,and wins the Trilogy, The payday will make the Entire Diaz family kind of rich.
Nick Diaz has to be one of the all time hardest fighters to interview! Probley after James Tony.
@MmaNcovers yeah mma junkie dot com has a story up saying nothing is going to come of it...i think it was like a "heat of the battle" type thing
ive watched this interview a few times its interesting lol i think hes a good dude.
@riceburner888 I know he was in the UFC. I remember his transition from mainly BJJ to a complete fighter. His fight with Robbie Lawler that shocked everyone. Basically you said the same thing. They were hesitant to bring him back because he's unstable. Not because they don't like him.
@ironman145614 2-3 times a year is overworked?
It doesn't cause paranoia, it can cause paranoia after long term use and it is rare.
he born to fight he leave to fight he fight to live
im a fan of diaz was waitin long ass time for that gsp fight, funny thing is he even says here "im not goin be the one backing out these fights" infact he did
Great fight, good stoppage, Paul had to get help just to stand up.
Ariel was thinking WTF
Ariel needs to start doing these Diaz interviews with a translator.
Nick Diaz deserves more respect - hes a warrior and glad he won. A hard worker and very athletic - a fighter true to the bone. Well done Nick - dont beat yourself up dude.
@WorldWideMMAFights u r right
General rule of thumbs up please so we get the facts right. Nick Diaz is from Stockton California. Watch it on KZread this is the getho. Look on NickDiaz209 channel on KZread it's nicks channel. You will see street fight and crazy shit like that. Nick is a real fighter, when he fight he is on a real fight in his mind. He is also an athlete and work hard but he is from a place where it's tough so don't think he get punched too much he is just like a tiger in a jungle.
he got all happy when they talked about the triathlon lol.
Diaz and James Toney could be best buds seems like they have something in common
@felixpenzarella He was talking about after the fight when he went over to Daley and kinda got in his face. He even said it was for something in the ring.
@riceburner888 The big difference being- Pride ceased to exist, so they had to unify titles, having two champions for each division. That does not neccesarily have to be the case with Strikeforce. I agree with you about GSP's striking (cardio too, but that's obvious that I do). I saw one of Shields older fights and he looked really bad with his stand up. I think St.Pierre will easily pick him apart standing.
Nick Diaz fight was so entertaining lmao love watching his fights, he is crazy but seems like good ppl
1:18-1:20 watch how quickly his mood changes
See that's the thing Nick: I DON'T know.
he never looks people in the eye when he talks to them
@blackshaboinka Thanks Man!
This interview was good..You know what i mean!!!
@burntonion05 id think so to, as long as penn dont gas out quickly.
gotta love Diaz
@contraseni you are exactly right. i ve never understood the fascination with him. a very boring style, opposite of nick diaz or p daley for that matter, cheers
I think nick is ready and wanting to go to the ufc wouldn't mind seeing him take on koscheck
Nick's fight I.Q is fucking beyond my shit!!!
@ImAidaTv I agree 100%.. Long live the diaz bros.
Nick Diaz gave Daley a boxing lesson...
i dl love to see him and james toney debate u.s. economic policies. make it happen dana!!
@DexterHaven49 Well said.
Nick Diaz for President.
Could you ever imagine being this awesome? LMAO
@chronicas420 Its because he is different and not like others that people hate him. I been cheering for the diaz brothers since day one, and i would be talking trash like that too if i felt i was always against everyone. He is a great all alround fight and has taken every shot they throw at him. And i seriously think people underestimate his chin big time!
@killa9241 i think he was suggesting Daley was trying to capitalize on an injury Diaz sustained in his last fight, which wasn't that long ago. Ties into the notion that they are making him fight too often. at least, that's what i can make from it...he knows...the guy is pretty far out there.
The reason Nick is talking about suspension this and that.. Is because he went up to Paul Daley after the fight (when Daley had just been lifted up on a stool from being KO:ed on the floor) and probably said some shit ..If u look closely you can see his red gloves next to Daleys face
