Teddy Atlas was on fire in this podcast. Though I hope Ken gets well soon, it's too bad his illness kept him from talking longer with Teddy. But every part was excellent. Superb analysis of the fighters. Great illustrations, such as the vivid description of a construction worker with a broken hand getting up at 5:00am, getting the job done even when feeling terrible. Another highlight was his analysis of Jared Anderson's abilities, and advice for him to get better.

LOVE the podcast teddy & Ken. Appreciate the spot on bit about Strickland's personality/honesty/gimmick. And Fyi, Trevor whittman, Justin gaethje, rose namajunas, head coach, one of usmans coaches as well, invented his own mma glove that naturally keeps the fingers in a more closed posistion, but is still very easy to open for grappling purposes etc, through his company ONYX. MOST ppl in the industry feel their the best mma glove on the market at the moment. He tried to make a deal with the ufc, but apparently dana wanted to buy the rights to the glove outright and trevor wasn't willing to do so(might have the exact details off, but that was the jist of it as I understand it) anyway Happy 4th. Get well asap Ken. God bless and keep the great content coming!

Ya Strickland is a beast 💪🏻. He’s really only lost 1 fight at middleweight (he deserved to get his hand raised against Cannonier) which had he wrestled more against Alex he definitely could of won that fight. Either way he’s been fighting the top guys & top prospects his entire UFC career & has basically beat them all outside of a couple exceptions. At MW he’s been close to unstoppable, he deserves to fight for the title.. dude earned it.

Teddy a bit hard on Martin in my view. The 'truth' according to Teddy - I wish he doesn't carry on with this self-righteous approach. Martin came in at late notice and acquitted himself very well versus Anderson. Yes, he was a weak world champion but you cannot blame him for sanctioning body shenanigans. Charles has lost 4 times but he has only lost to well-regarded competition. Some may question Kownacki as 'high level' but Martin fought him during his peak period. Martin is a good, solid pro and could be around for some more meaningful fights.

Teddy's spot on - Martin and Anderson are average. The commentators probably hyped up Anderson because Tyson Fury once said Anderson is the next top HW ........ TF - the guy who changes his mind every second of every day. Even if Anderson wasn't average - he's done a recent interview saying he's leaving boxing soon. So go figure commentators! Moses Itauma is likely the next top HW - and he's a nice person too!

Yes indeed, they hype the prospects up too much, before they are really tested and win a big fight. Anderson's good, but isn't at the level of the most recent superstar American heavyweights, namely Tyson, Bowe and Holyfield. A bit more time in that fight and Anderson may have been ko'd by Martin.
