How are you going to keep your tie rod from hitting the pitman arm in the front at full bump? Did you move the steering box forward?

We did not stretch the front only the rear so we did not have any clearance issues . But if we did stretch the front we would have moved the steering gear box

That is about the cheapest way to go as even a basic coil and shock still needs 8 joints on a triangulated rear . I think I would have plated the entire rail to the rear cross member at least bottom and side and welded the hangers to that since the 14g shit-metal isn't known for holding onto leaf hanger/shackles very well .

Yep well spoken. This was a temporary thing for a few rides that’s why we didn’t beef up the mounts. This rig is now linked on tons with coil overs and 43s almost ready for its first ride

There a lot of benefits to stretching a rig. It was cheap and easy way for him to Make his rig more stable with the type of obstacles he was trying. Overall it worked very well for him. However he has now moved to bigger and better things we just got done mocking up his one tons and 43’s we are 4 linking the front and rear with coilovers . You can check it out now on our Instagram or Facebook
