Much respect. You guys are LIVING. I live in boston, ma USA and rollerblading died hard here in the early 2000s. To see it somehow made it all the way across the world to Nigeria and is still happening. Believe it or not but there are more skaters in your town than mine here in the USA. I am the ONMY rollerblader at the park, for many years now. I love this sport. I do. So much respect.

Hi there. I'm from SF which is close to Oakland where Brian is from. Husband has family in Lagos would seriously love to visit and skate with you sometime. Friends with Neon (BipocWhoSkate) and love watching your content.

This is huge in so many ways. As a black women who recently got back to rollerblading I feel this film as a inspirational master piece. I'm pretty sure you all are very proud of this work and you really should be! Greetings from Brazil, thank you so much for sharing this AWESOME film!

This is a beautiful masterpiece, visually impossible to look away and when it ended tears in my eyes. Thank you to everyone who made this happen. The talent is huge in Nigeria and this film is an awesome way to communicate this. I will be sharing immediately and urging skaters everywhere to watch.

The best thing to happen to Blading in a very long time..! #DanielOgbogu's story is one of pure passion in the face of adversity. This is what our culture & sport is truly about. I saw some of these guys when I was in Nigeria 🇳🇬 & I was so shocked because as I roller skater I never knew & I had my skates with me, I wish I could of stopped and connected with some of these guys. I respect and love that the dude is making a difference his way. I use to rollerblade years back and I can relate. I turned hand me down rollerblades into aggressive skates. I couldn’t afford the $2-300 Roces or K2s. I had to take out the 2 middle wheels and replaced them with old worn out ones and added grind plates. You got to make do with what you have. This video brought back memories.

Luckily roces romes were sold really cheap in a sports shop where I'm from. This was mid to late nineties. Oxygens were also sold for about £40-50 a pair at one point too. I also took out my middle wheels, and put on grind plates as my frames wore down too much. How we souled on old skates I'll never know

That’s how I started too. Except with fitness skates without one of the middle wheels. Then K2s I found at Big5 or something.. Then RollerbladeTRS.. etc. Now I’m riding David Hirt’s old Razors.

the rollerblading community is one of the most beautiful things on the planet.

Bfree kills it. We need to set up a foundation to send our unused skate gear to lagos frames, boots, souls, all the hardware everything!!! Get them skating for life.

Bring it back ! Nigerian is my blood I’m from Baltimore in America and we used dirt bikes in this same form to get away from the city. Search up 12 o’clock boys. A weak movie was just released on it marketed by Meek Mills.

The story, skating, cinematography, editing, and music were all on point. Thanks for making this happen and for sharing it with the world.

Daniel is someone willing to teach and welcome anyone into the skating culture. I am so happy this documentary came true. I hope it goes far and wide and has as many views as it should. this is literally my childhood in the 90's I would be more then happy to buy aggressive inline skates for any kid in Africa. Lived in a bad area and this saved me from a lot of trouble, except for annoying security guards.

So beautiful . Skating has always been an on and off activity for me . But last year I really got back into it . I'm not even very good ,but the feeling on the skates on my feet and all the sounds of a skatepark ... So pleasing . Loved this mini documentary ,I'm glad these guys have something to bring them some sense of comfort , brotherhood etc . They have mad skills and all I can say is SKATE ON BROTHERS 🙏🙏❤️

I remember the video with Joe Atkinson from Burma. And just from the trailer this seems to be even more cinematic. Can't wait to watch this!

I've been out the game for such a long time now, it's been like 10 years since I've passionately skated. But watching this makes me remember how fun and sick skating was and still is.

It's interesting to me that the trademarked name of Rollerblade has become so intertwined with the inline skates that people just use that, like Q-tip or Kleenex. A brand that became a lifestyle. 😊
