It is ok to eat it once in a while. I live in village where there are no restaurant. When i go to town, i eat porota. Parota is more bearable to me than dosa which is lots of oil..I get nausea eating dosa. I avoid dosa. If you are too conscious about heathy food, you don't get to eat many tasty food like paani poori, gobi Manchurian,pizza etc. Ok to indulge in these once in while.

Those who say oil is too much, I would like to say another information. Bun parotta is shallow fried in a big tawa not the way it is cooked like here. Madurai city is where this dish originated. There is a road side restaurant called Madurai bun parota Kadai. Anybody from Madurai ✋🏼✋🏼
