I miss living near the ocean. I had a 6 MP crummy digital camera when I last lived near it.

Were you east or west coast? The ocean has been nice to reconnect with nature and such. It’s also interesting to see look back at photos i’ve taken near the ocean and how other people are affected by it.

Lovely photos. Haven’t seen yet Nostalgic Negative looking this good. Were photos edited or just simple Nostalgic Negative with 6000k and grain in camera?

Thanks brotha. Sometimes the cameras exposure wasn’t correct so I adjust a few light settings. The black satin 1 took away some contrast that I just added back in and sometimes 6K was a little too warm for me in very sunny scenes so a few photos i dialed the WB balance back. But as for color grading or clarity and the like I did not touch a single thing. Forgot to mention I like my work to be a little more colorful so i added a little saturation and vibrance back in. But a lot of those minor changes i made i could have made in camera but im still learning it so maybe one day ill have it all dialed in.

Hi I just stubled across one of your videos about the cinebloom filter. Thought I would rather write a comment in your latest video. However I wanted to ask why you used a 52mm on the sigma 30 which has a 55mm filterthreat? I also have some sigmas and was wondering weather the smaller one (that is also a lot cheaper then the 58mm) would actually fit.

Hey bro thanks for watching. That sigma is a 52mm filter. It’s the apsc lens.

do you still use your cinebloom 10% im tryna decide BPM 1/4 or 10% for street photography i loved that video u made about the 10% but as I'm watching your videos i don't see you using it as much

Full transparency I almost never use it for photography anymore bro. I thought it was a great filter at the time and it still is, but my style of photography has definitely changed since I got this filter. What makes it not my style anymore is that it is too strong. So I would look at the BPM 1/4 or Glimmerglass 1/4. I actually picked up a new filter that I’m going to shoot with this week and have a video by the weekend. It’s the black satin 1/4. I am obsessed with the black satin line and this lower strength one is perfectly subtle.

I’m torn between the x100VI and a6700. This would be my only camera and mostly to just document travel with family. Would love to hear any recommendations you have! Compactness is very important to me along with good enough auto focus to capture family moments

A6700 is a beast (i used to own the a6400) but it wont make you smile like the fuji will. if you have the time to wait (since its on backorder) i would get the fuji over the a6700. this is coming from owning both the fuji and a7cii right now.

@@xhynetuseinovski I had the chance to borrow an X100V from a friend on my last trip and had a few issues. Does this sound like just user error? I had clarity setting on a value other than 0 which made the camera feel very slow. Also using the single point for focusing required subjects to be very still to get images in focus. Other than that I did like the camera. Are these things that could improve with experience or maybe just a limitation?

@@CameronL Hopefully an x100v user can chime in, but with this new processor from the XT5 there isn’t lag with clarity, grain, etc turned on. The single point AF is actually all i used in this video and it really depends on what F stop you’re using. F8+ you wont have any issue focusing. Yeah the AF is not strikingly accurate like my Sony, but it’s still quite good. Hope that helps bro.
