Thank you @alex for your enlightenment. No doubt the translator is an app for having chosen the literal meaning of the word he has pronounced. The translation presented in the video made me think of the epidemic of dictators who are agitating all over the world following Putin's declaration of war against Ukraine and now against the global West. In Iran, North Korea, China, etc. ... These regimes that oppress their people suddenly begin to make their right to oppression clear. The word "infection" struck me as a perfect description of the global situation. This is a matter of personal opinion. For my part, I write my speeches in French in a translation application and I review the result before transmitting it.

Have no delusions of grandeur about their 'motherland' vs the Russians, who, young and old who are fiercely proud of their country and its communist imperialistic past whose end they mourn, still, 2. They are fully aware of it is happening in their country. 3. They were very brave to agree to answer such clearly contentious question in that context, fully charged politically, at the highly probable risk of their being jailed after this. Great interview Danii. Its refreshing to see and hear what ordinary citizens think. There is no perfect political system ..I'm from Australia. Our democracy is barely 100 years old and is still evolving. When the founding fathers decided to unite the original colonies (of Australia) they looked around the world and tried to copy the best bits. Thankfully all this happened relatively peacefully. Maybe one day Belarus will achieve true democracy (if the people want it). It's difficult but I think worth it.
