Right? I don't know what it is but I enjoy the ones where it's at night and the street looks a bit seedy and food is being made under the glow of an old neon sign that isn't theirs.

It's not street food. This is the Los Angeles Grand Central Market where it's just an open air place with stalls and booths and all sorts of restaurants and drink places have spaces. To call this street food is a big stretch. This is more like the food court at a mall than real street food. I wouldn't even classify the Kembo food truck as street food. It's food served out of a truck. Go get a push cart or ramshackle aluminum stall in an alley and then we'll talk.

gl finding any street food vibes or anything like that in usa. its more other countries that do this daily.

This isn't street food, but when I'm in LA I'll definitely go check out some of these places!

This is Grand Central Market. I have been going there for 50 years. It is a fun place to go and it has changed radically in the past 5 years to become a downtown hipster haven. I think of street food in LA as the unregulated street side food stands . Mostly selling Central America food. Many are quite amazing and generally very cheap. The best stalls and stands are primarily in the predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods. When people leave LA,, this is what they miss most. Tacos of all types, tamales, corn, and pupusas. YELP has made it easier to track down these vendors. Hours vary wildly, up to 3AM. There are stands that feature regional cuisine of Mexico.

I'm on a diet to lose weight. Watching these food videos makes me hungry.

Grand central market LA is overrated...by a long, long mile. Good street food in LA is a tough find. El Matador taco truck "roach coach" on Vermont & Lexington is a good start though. Also the "street dogs" wrapped in bacon in the most decrepit pockets around downtown are amazing.

Grand central market in downtown LA has many diverse food stalls, my go to is Thomas's tacos always a long line cus its that good 👍

The street food there looks like in the restaurant in my hometown.

Huge fan but you captured the grand central market which is totally the opposite of Los Angeles street food. You should have gone to echo Park to try Taco Zone or the many taco stands that open up at night throughout the city. For the viewers this place used to be the best place to eat in Los Angeles if you had a few bucks but now it has gone thru gentrification and is so expensive now that it only caters to the wealthy.
