Strategies to Say Goodbye to Menopause Belly Fat

In this episode, I discuss strategies to say goodbye to menopause belly fat with scientifically backed insights. I emphasize the importance of a balanced whole food plant-based diet, citing a study showing a lower risk of weight gain during menopause for those following this diet. Regular physical activity is also highlighted as a key component. I address a listener's question about the potential impact of estradiol patches on weight gain, providing valuable information and guidance on hormone replacement therapy.

Good morning Dr Laurie, you always make me smile when you mention the girl scouts' cookies because you shouldn't be buying them if they trigger you! I wouldn't even bring them into the house, I'd just give them the money. Thank you for sharing your tempting "junk" food that can make you fall off-track. I've actually put on 2lbs recently just because I ate too many broccoli and too much tropical fruit, I was given 2 big bags full at the food bank, this doesn't happen very often so I've been eating big portions before they went bad, it's to do with food insecurity/poverty. But nothing is calorie-free and I feel quite bloated now and regret my overindulgence. I am going to have a lighter lunch today and getting back on track so I can fit into my jeans comfortably again. I find this way of eating and staying slim and healthy is definitely work in progress that I constantly need to refine and take care of, especially since I am petite and not very active due to M.E. so there's only so many calories I can take in. Thank you for all your excellent content, have a lovely weekend.

I find the varying opinions regarding HRT to be so confusing. I’m 62, 11 years post and unfortunately, it seems that my window is closed to begin on HRT. I am healthy other than familial hyperlipidemia. I began a plant based diet 2 months ago and am enjoying it, but have a lot to learn! I’m so glad to have found your channel! 😀
