What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go awry. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.

i’m crying. this exact thing happened to my cousins, they have struggled to make friends due to their autism. i remember the family being contacted to come instead just so they could have some sort of birthday party. it’s nice to see that even strangers would be willing to support him.

I would have to agree with you, because the exact same thing happened, I was at a Pizza Inn with a Friend of Mine named Sarah, I noticed a little boy and his mom was sitting in a table that was next to hours, he was waiting for his friends to arrive, His mom told him to stay there while she makes some phone calls, after she left, the little boy started crying, I got up from the booth and asked him if he was ok, and Sarah was talking to the mom, I started rallying other people, we started celebrating his birthday party, also Sarah and I, and some other people had pooled our money, and we gave it to him, I told him that he could buy whatever he wants, Like a New Toy or a Remote Control Car, or a Modal Car, or a new Video Game.

It happened to my little brother and at one point he said to me "Does that mean nobody loves me?" and i think i never cried so much when we got home ... he wondered if he had done something wrong !! The next day i called my job to tell them i wasn't going to work and asked my little brother what he wanted to do. In the end we spent the day at the Zoo and went to see a movie afterwards! He even told me it was the best birthday of his life. I was really happy ☺️

I would have to agree with you, also If I ever see a little boy or Girl that's having a birthday party at a restaurant, Like, Pizza Hut or Pizza Inn or McDonald's or Burger King, or Subway, If his or her mom walked away for a few minutes, I would go over and see if he or she was all right, I would give him or her some money for a birthday present, and also I would ask him or her if I could celebrate with him or her, and I'll get some more people to sit too.

I’m 25 now and i think i lack a lot of social skills because i was rarely exposed to new people in my life especially that i never changed my school from kindergarten to year 12. Ik I’m late on this but when I was 6 or 7, my friend threw a birthday party where she invited pretty much everyone we knew. Both of us had something wrong with us, and I probably would’ve struggled so hard to make friends if my mom didn’t make a ton of them for me. And thanks to that, I introduced most of my friends to eachother, but none of them were really clicking with this girl. Some of them didn’t like her too much, but still rasped yes. Her aunt was trying to make it special because it was her first birthday without her mom. The guest bags were filled to the brim, there were games galore, and they got two riding horses for us to take turns on. No one else showed up, even though some of them had already rvsped either “maybe” or “yes”. She looked sad for a moment before looking at me and saying, “More fun for us.” And honestly I’ll remember that party forever. We got unlimited time on the horses, played all the games, and her Aunt talked to my mom and decided to take us to an amusement park the next day. Both of us still have the pictures from the rides. She wasn’t even a close friend until that party- and after that we were essentially best friends and never even talked to the people who didn’t show up. I think of her anytime I hear about no one showing up because it wasn’t even my party and the whole thing broke my heart cause I knew she was genuinely upset. And looking back, she was letting me do things that I didn’t think much of (letting me take turns riding her scooter) but she told me later that she was just hoping that I didn’t realize how “sucky” her party was cause no one else was there. 😢

Literally cried because only two people came to my birthday party last year. I planned it for weeks. I bought a banner and party favors and everything. I'm turning 16 this year and I don't think I'll have a party because I don't have any friends anymore. It warms my heart that everyone made him have the best birthday ever and that the last guy rounded up everyone to come and sing to him. Bless that man. 2/10/2023 Edit: Just saw all of these replies. I am happy to report that even though I didn't have any friends, my family threw me a surprise party. I am so blessed and I am definitely crying a bit reading all of these kind replies. Bless you all, I hope people spread the love to you as you have to me. Thank you for giving me light and hope in such a painful time. 💗 10/12/2023 Edit: It's my birthday! I'm seventeen years old now. Every time I get sad about the people I lost, I go back to these comments, and this video. I still don't have any friends coming in person to my birthday parties, but I have my family. And I made new friends who still tried to celebrate with me and give me gifts even though it's online. And these random strangers on the internet who replied to my comment with their own love to share with me. I hope you all have great birthdays. Mine has been just amazing ❤

I feel this, no one came to my daughters party, after me almost dying and then her grandma, I wanted it to be so special. Invited like 40 people, 4 showed up. I bawled my eyes out and now my kid thinks no one cares about her. It's so heartbreaking

  • @TheSnowdogsShorts

I really felt this. When I was 6 I asked my mother if I could have a birthday party. She told me that I could bring two friends home after school, and that she would organise a party for me. I felt so special. When we got home she had forgotten all about it. I felt so humiliated and betrayed. The following year when I was 7, it was even worse, she completely forgot my birthday. No card, no present, no birthday wish. I actually had to remind her that it was my birthday. She said nonchalantly, “oh I forgot, I’ll get you something at the weekend.” Not even a sorry. 53 years later, and I’m still waiting. When your own mother forgets your birthday, you feel so worthless and unimportant. I now make a big deal when it is other people’s birthdays, I never want them to feel the way that I was made to feel.

My son got invited to a bday party for a kid in his class, he had invited the whole class but I had seen that only my son played with him at school. so I took an extra long lunch break during work so I could take my son to the bday party and we were the only ones that showed up. I've never forgotten the relief on the moms face when we got there and her son was so excited he never noticed no one else came.

chetan McConaughey wasn’t commenting about the show. Commenting on the perspective and rationale of the original post. Saying they’re happy there is no racism or Karen’s in the vid. I’m making the point that racism and Karen’s are not prevelant at all and the things that should be important are rarely ever shown. This is on purpose to keep you emotional and easy to control. As for the video. It’s obvious that humans will help. It’s in human nature. That’s why it pisses me off that people are too gullible and fall for everyone and everything is racist or Karen this and Karen that.

The present that I got from my mom still hasn't arrived after 8 months and a lot of family members weren't even there, I've never had a party with my friends but I'm so grateful and happy that my grandma and mother were there and my mom made a delicious cake and a pizza. I'm so happy with that and a bunch of people I don't know well wished me a happy birthday via the internet. So please be happy about what you get, and don't be mad about what you don't get. Be happy with the little things because one day you maybe will have to celebrate your birthday alone.

If you get an invitation from someone and not show up, it’s a complete disgrace to the invitee who treated you enough as a friend to invite you to their birthday party. Secondly, hats off to all the customers and strangers who came by and decided to join Cody’s birthday party! It was really heartwarming! Sun Wu Yep I was that kid too. I remember when I was 10 it was the end of the day and we were all sitting at our tables, the kid was handing out his invitations and every single child had an envelope on their desk apart from me. It’s honestly such a shit feeling.

Jerry deserves a party. The man is crying over another child going through what he did. That’s a real man, someone who can’t sit back and watch people in pain. He HAD to intervene and make a difference, I bet he didn’t second guess it for a second

When I was a server a mother had rented out a back room that holds about 30ppl for her son's 12th birthday and she was expecting family and friends to come celebrate and an hour went by and only three other people had came so she came up to me and said with tears in her eyes that no one else would be coming my heart sank, cause she told me that they were willing to release the back room and settle for a small table instead, I immediately told her no it's okay she can still have the room for his party and I went to the back of the restaurant where all my other servers were and I told them to bring their kids in and I called my mom to bring my little sister in, we all ended celebrating his birthday, my mom even got him a few presents for the boy, the boys mom cried and hugged us all for making his day special 🧡

Well obviously a mother will be more sad than the child and he’s acting shy because they are mostly all adults that are helping the child (actor) in his bday party

It’s nice to see people come together for someone they don’t know. Growing up my mom was physically and mentally abusive until she kicked me out of the house at 16. Been on my own ever since. I am 64 now and to this day I still never had a birthday party. So it makes me feel really good to know moms are better than mine. Maybe not all but hopefully much more than like mine.
