But we learned in season 4 that technically it started with El. Not the show exactly, but the trigger for the plot. I think that Will might be overtaken by Vecna and it will be similar to season 1 where Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and El are in a group trying to save him again. I don’t really think he will die, because I think that El will die, but it is possible.

@@luciasroses You know what else would be kinda devastatingly poetic? If Jonathan dies instead of Will. Like Joyce has prioritized and been focused on Will the entire show while sidelining Jonathan, imagine if the one son she didn’t even consider anything bad happening to, dies.

Steve will definitely die. There are many theories leading up to why. The Duffers originally wanted to kill off Steve in S1 but they decided not to after they realized how greatly Joe Keery portrayed the role. This would make total sense for them to kill Steve in S5 as he was originally intended to be temporary. We also see how Steve is still attached to Nancy deeply. It wouldn’t make sense to have that unnecessary tension, especially when Jonathan and Nancy are happily together. Also notice how Steve’s parents are never featured in any of the seasons, which is pretty bizarre, considering he does have a family, and that all the other character’s families have been in the show. Steve is more than willing to sacrifice himself among anyone else in the group. This character arc Steve has created will lead to a righteous death where I imagine he attempts to protect either Nancy or the kids and gets killed.

-Killing Joice would be cruel since she had a Hell of a lot of problems with Will -Killing Steve, Nancy or/and Jonathan wouldn't be amazing since we wouldn't really get to see the end of that "love triangle" -Killing one of the OG boys would be pretty cruel aswell, plus the writers already said killing Mike would be "too depressive" (Also if Dustin dies I die) -Killing Mr. Clarke would be a crime against humanity -Killing Eleven wouldn't be so shocking since she already sacrificed herself in Season 1 -Killing Max isn't likely since she was in coma in Season 4's ending, and people that are in coma after some battle in movies never usually die for some reason -Killing Hopper wouldn't be fair since he's one of the most important people in the Series and it would be pretty dumb if he died after his amazing survival from Season 3. Yeah Idk who is the most likely to die, any deaths would be unrealistic and kinda like "let's kill him because he's important muahaha"

Feel free to come back to this comment when I’m correct: Season 5 will end when there is no other way to end the upside down apart from shutting the 4 way portal. So El will say her goodbyes and go to the meeting point of the portals before she uses all of her power to fly over the centre like she did in season 2 to pull the world back together but she uses too much of her power and falls back down to earth killing the upside down along with herself

Predictions - Will realises he will forever be connected to the upside down thus meaning when it is destroyed, it destroys him, but he accepts it. I think he'll tell mike how he feels, and he'll sacrifice himself so the upside down can ultimately end, he'll ask el to close the gate and he'll use his true sight to take some influence of the mindflayer and both close the gate, however eleven must close it with will inside - Steve will live, baited too much, and with Eddie dying, the trauma will be too much for Dustin - Jancy & Stancy love triangle re opening. Nancy will never make the choice with both alive, jonathan will die saving nancy, joyce, will, possibly steve if he realises nancy still loves him. Or vecnas vision will come true and Nancy will try to break the curse but will die doing so. - Mike and Eleven endgame unless one dies. They make the most sense, story wise.

I could’ve went years without hearing “chrissy wake up song” 😭

My fear is the "you die, i die," from Dustin to Steve from season 3 is a fortelling.

Linda Hamilton was cast, so that would rule out Duffers promise to kill off new people…but what if her character isn’t new? The show is based off the Montauk project, and if you research more, there’s a theory that suggests multiple worlds/ ie multiverses. In season one, eleven created a wormhole that causes the frozen upside down. So, I think the death will be Eleven. Linda Hamilton as Eleven from a different universe that travels to Hawkins to fix the Upside Down/the world/ multiverses

I think mike is because he's the closest person to both eleven and will who are heavily connected to the upside down. Anyways, what's going on with these stranger things updates? I got three notifications about updates at the same time.

Here are my theories: - El will die sacrificing herself to save Will just like at the end of season 1, and that could be because Will might be overtaken or captured by Vecna again. The Duffers have said season 5 will be similar to season 1 and also some of the characters have gone back to season 1 looks in their style and hair. This could also mean a “goodbye Mike” but for good this time, and if so he might say “goodbye El” and I’ll probably die inside but moving on. - Dustin will die also sacrificing himself for Steve before Steve is dying but like he said, “you die, I die” and so Dustin will die because he doesn’t want to loose another dad figure he looks up to. - Karen Wheeler might possibly die near the more beginning of the season and tell Mike or Nancy the truth if she is possibly related to Vecna. Mike will also be devastated and maybe clean up his character. I doubt anyone will read this but if you do, then let me know what you think and check out my edits if you’d like 😁

At some point I have to stop watching these I don’t want to spoil too much😭

Ok, so I think that they will be killing off Mike in the second to last episode. The reason for that is that in the last episode, Vecna will kill Mike in front of El, and that'll be the end of the episode. After that, El will have so much emotion that she lost her boyfriend, that she will have the power to 1v1 Vecna. Also, I hope this isn't true, but the picture of the bloody shoe is Steve's Nike shoe. I think that Steve will be able to win over Nancy, and once they have this lovely moment together, Steve will die by something. Also, I hope that Will will have some 6th sense to locate Vecana so that the group can kill him. I also have a theory that Vecana will survive by some miracle from El's attack, and Will will kill Vecana like he stripped him from his home. Or haft to sacrifice himself to end all the suffering. It would be really said if they played. Should I stay, or should I go, if Will does sacrifices himself. Those are my theories for Season 5!

I don't think killing Eleven is a good thing. She was already "killed" in Season 1's finale, so having her sacrifice herself AGAIN wouldn't be so shocking. Remember DBZ, where every character died 3 times and got revived with 0 problems? I don't want a situation like that one happening. And by the way, I know that a lot of people want Will to die since it would be "poetic", but it would kinda ruin Season 1. The whole plot was "let's find and save Will", so imagine if it was all... Useless, in the end. But yeah idk

There’s definitely some sort of time travel component to this season. There has to be a reason for the wheel of time being present *and* the upside down being locked in time. Plus Vecna seems to have survived down there so it has to have some sort of temporal effect on the body in terms of energy usage.

The picture hung up in the supposed radio tower building is a picture of a band called Toto that is known for the song Africa, which was in season four of Stranger Things

To be honest, I don’t think max will die. If they kill her in season 5 they have to make a lot out of it or else it would have been more fitting for her to die when vecna snapped her bones and if she would die take her eyes. It would be way more emotional if she died at the end of season 4 instead of in a hospital bed. So if she’s dying in season 5 it has to be a lot

I think Mike is going to sacrifice himself for something, and then in the final episode Will is going to figure out that he and Vecna are somehow tied and the only way to beat him is to sacrifice himself. Those are my two main picks for main character deaths. But I also have my thoughts about Steve.

I LOVE stranger things, and i get the strikes, but 2025-2026 releasing is ridiculous! I will wait and even rewarch all seasons and episodes before its release, but im getting impatient here! I think eddie is gunna to come back on vecnas side and maybe even max, i think with it having to start with will it will end with will and eleven together sacrificing everything to save everyone.

Millie does have long hair again. There are leaked set photos of Eleven and Mike on top of the radio station building. There is even a video of them filming a scene.

OK I JUST CAME UP WITH THE BEST THEORY! so everyone is always asking how Will even escaped the upside down. i’m season 4, we saw that the key was a favourite song which was how max escaped a couple times. but then i realized when will was in the upside down in season 1, HE KEPT SINGING THAT SONG OVER AND OVER!!! since he wasn’t about to get killed by vecna and still had some time, he didn’t have to just hear the song but only song it! and that is how he made it out 😏

I can say with confidence that they won’t kill the main 4 guys. It started with them so it’s gotta end with them

Also, they probably did time leap at least two years because all the actors have grown so much since the last filming they are so much older, so they probably have to warm up to make up for them growing up in real life

Maybe Kali comes back but I don’t see it to be necessary or likely - No, Nancy will definitely not get pregnant - No, I don’t think Eddie is alive but his death will have an effect on Dustin (and Mike) - Yes, Will will definitely get a boyfriend -Yes, Rovickie will get together - Yes and no? Wrinkle in Time is amazing but it's a very 'must think' book trilogy to read, kind of like a more complicated Inkheart trilogy

El’s outfit is a track outfit because she runs in track now probably to help cope with her trauma

I've seen some theories about time travel as back to the future stuff has been seen. I think Eleven will sacrifice herself but not in a death way. If it does involve time travel, she'll go back and stop herself from creating the upside down, essentially sacrificing her whole life outside the lab and going back to it. They could do a fakeout where she wakes up still out and with her friends. Maybe less of a theory and more just a fun idea lol

The shoe and the book doesn't mean it is a time jump they were off with the year of car that Steve was driving in season 1 so being off a year or so is probably just some mistakes they made

I had hoped they were going to bring Kali back and make her a more intregal part of the story this time. Linda Hamilton will no doubt be amazing though.

I do think something is going to happen with time travel because of them being in the past in the upsidedown but when will was in there things were happening in real time in the upsidedown so I don't know how time stopped the year or day that Will went missing in there

I’m thinking it’s Mike. Will made a picture of him fighting a monster with all of his friends behind him. There is one more monster they haven’t fought yet and that is the one I think Mike is fighting in the picture. I’m think Mike will probably risk himself for el.

You forgot to mention Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer. I saw them in the photo so hopefully they are returning. I read A Wrinkle in Time when I was in the 3rd or 4th grade. It was one of my favorite Sci Fi books at the time but it was very simple and not much of a plot to it other than what you mentioned.

A Wrinkle In Time is a fantastic first book into a cool & weird series…while the movie was visually good (the Oprah one), definitely read/listen to the books because if it influences the ST storyline 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 it’ll be gooooood

And it’s kinda sad that stranger things only had one episode with someone being a secret sibling

I think they’re gonna kill hopper off I don’t want him to go, but I feel like he’s going to sacrifice himself for 11 because he loves her as his own daughter
