Wow! The support on this video has been absolutely unbelievable! When I uploaded this video, my channel had 524 subscribers and now, at the time of recording, we've gained exactly 200. I don't know how this happened, or what specifically about this video made it happen. But thank you to everyone who has watched, liked, commented, subscribed and even gone on to watch some of my other videos. It means a lot to me that people enjoy the stuff that I put out and I hope you stick around for what else I have in store. 🍋❤👊

I love how this video sounds like a british man talking to you from the other stall in a public bathroom but the editing and script are good so you're brain just accepts it

This is the best feedback I've ever received 🤣
This show was brilliant, its concept of it being in a Haunted School and being puppets really got me into the teen-horror genre.
5:05 "Man thats lame." "Shut up." *"UOROORRGGHOOIGUGUGURGRHGGHGH"*
Strange Hill High was so good and I’m annoyed that there aren’t more videos on the subject. Not only was it boundlessly creative but it was also absolutely hilarious. Anything with Richard Ayoade in is just gold and this show was no exception

I remember watching strange hill high when I was a kid I like it I watch on TV😊
I distinctly remember the Christmas Episode where an elf out of nowhere says "You will perish" to the other characters

Oh my god, dude so do I! I just randomly thought about an Elf with a very unfitting voice and had to find it.
I grew up with this show on CBBC. I loved coming home after school to tune into whatever strange thing was happening at the school that week, and what the gang would get into. The show is still very funny, even as someone who’s almost heading towards his 20s.
I love murdoch (the caretaker) as a character, hes basically this shitty janiator who knows of all the terrible stuff happening in the school but doesnt really acknowledge them as something to be concerned about

The amount of puppets, props, sets, and effects used in every single episode shows the insane level of dedication and love the crew had for this show and it’s one of the things I love most about it.
Man, you've just unlocked a hidden tv show I used to watch on Netflix as a wee lad.

Same!
I only remember two moments from a single episode. I think the headmaster got mixed with a frog or something and unleashed a giant guinea-pig on the school and said, "Prepare to get nuzzled... TO DEATH!" Then, they destroy the machine that made him a frog person, somehow reversing the effect, and one of the characters doesn't accept it, saying, "If you break your toaster, it doesn't turn your toast back into bread." That's all I can recall.
Templeton is by far my favourite character: with the most witty lines and absurd characterizations. Especially in that 1984 episode xD

Who’s your least favorite Strange Hill High character?
I will forever be pissed off that I ended up forgetting this show existed until recently. Thank GOD I remembered it when I was doing a bit of a Google Search for obscure shows from BBC, and then Strange Hill High popped up. Becky Butters is probably my favorite character throughout the series. She just radiates so much energy for me that I vibe with.
Strange hill was great, still can’t help but think of Templeton whenever I hear Richard Ayoad’s voice

This show is part of a time period of television media we will never be able to go back to. This is the most 2013 show I’ve ever seen, and I love it for that.
I remember one episode where the old grey teacher looks outside his window and sees POSTMAN PAT I can’t remember if I dreamt this or not

The whole show is like that I genuinely don’t know if half the stuff I remember about it is real
2:46 and now i just realized that’s the same voice actor for onion in like apple and onion
1:35 holy shit the nostalgia, i was convinced i dreamed those old intros lol
The joke at 3:10 to 3:18 is not only funny, but it's also hold some truth as one of the villains in X-Men is inspired by Malcolm X.
Peak character design
I had the scene where a giant turtle monster was chasing the 3 students but the 3 students stopped running due to the slow speed of the turtle in my mind since years and I totally forgot the name of the show until now.
There's a certain part of this show that lives rent free in my head. The episode where becky discovers that she can sing really well if you pour water on her. Another one is the one where Mitchell discovered a way to change reality ro match his whims and so maths now had stupid answers like banana milkshake or something. It feels like a fever dream tbh. Tho, I was 9 at the time.

That first one is the one with the Grackle!
Strange Hill High was one of the best British kids shows.
4:13 I remember being scared of this show as a kid- because I always came home from school when the "scary" parts were on. And it's pisses me off, I'm Swedish and I remember this having a dub and I just wish I could hear the voices and how they handled the jokes but I will never be able to🥲
Shet, I forgot about Crimson Hill High. Thanks for reminding me about its glory, mate!
bro I loved watching this as a kid. The theme song has no right to hit as hard as it does
FINALLY SOME TALKS ABOUT HOW GOOD STRANGE HILL HIGH WAS
even about 7 years after watching the show i still have reocurring dreams about the pool episode.
IDK why, but the cute designs of the characters that make them look like those Japanese-aesthetic superflat pop art you see in the good ol' days of DeviantART or Vinyl figurines that were popular in the mid-2000s and early 2010s mixed with the depressing, eerie, realistic settings are giving me The Amazing World of Gumball vibes.
The one I always remember is the "Safety Training" video episode.
me and my siblings fucking loved strange hill high. its so fucking good i cant believe ive heard like nobody else talk about it until now.
Exams reawakened the core memory of the episode where he had to get -1 on a test
This show was on ABC in Australia back in the day. Surprisingly good.
I got so tramatized by the wereteacher episode ( I have a major fear of Loseing my humanity) and only remembered it TODAY
My face Litteraly froze out of nostalgia when I saw this thumbnail, this unlocked the deepest memories from the canopy’s of my brain and I’m all for it
I used to watch absolutely nothing but Strange hill high, and that's why im broken. I hope Gen A has a go with classics like this.
Finally people remember this show
I completely forgot about this tv show- it was my favourite when I was younger
I was obsessed with this show back in 2013/14. They really don't make shows like this anymore.
I remember watching this 10 years ago when I was four and I've never known a name, it's been stuck in my head and now I finally have it, thank you.
I love the little Sonichu medallion you flash for a split second at the Malcom X joke
Oh crap. This video has opened my mind to a lot of memories that were previously forgotten, but now I remember all of it. I remember watching this show very late at night from time to time and I specifically remember the two episodes you mentioned in the video. I remember how fascinating it was both because of the art style and the content of the episodes itself.
Goddd yes, this is still one of my favourite shows ever. not really in a nostalgia way, just the fact that it is consistently really funny! Like i think it is especially underrated for its comedy. i think its what developed my sense of humour tbh. like it was worked on by josh weinstein (from the simpsons)!!! and also the style is incredibly unique, i remember watching behind the scenes stuff about it where they said the way they created it was one of the hardest ways possible to animate - using "puppets, Japanese vinyl toys and digital effects". Just a great show.
@MonobrowMan

Ah, I wondered if it was the same Josh Weinstein from the Simpsons. That makes a lot of sense.
the character designs are so damn good, reminds me of early vinyl figures before funko pops.
love that Richard Ayoade voices Templeton also can someone explain to me why the principal looks like a certain German political figure
I loved this show as a kid and like fr it became a hyperfixation like 2 years ago or something lol so nice to see im not the only one who wants this to come back
I remember it airing around 2014-16 in portugal, on a channel called Biggs, it was awesome
This show deserve more loves for strange hill high
I *loved* Strange Hill High, its one of my absolute FAVORITE shows that was on Netflix. (I also have EVERY episode of the show on my laptop thanks to Internet Archive.)
wow I watched this on CBBC when I was 4 or 5 So many memories 😭😭😭 WAIT HOLY CRAP STRANGE HILL HIGH PREDICTED THE TIME EPISODE IN CRASH ZOOM (tom ska)
I used to watch this all the time on netflix and could never find it again, as I had forgot the name. For years I've thought I had simply imagined it. The episode where the guy's frozen head gets carried around while making quips and laughing maniacally will always stick with me. You now have a 700th subscriber!

Thank you so much!! 🎉
I loved Strange Hill High but it became one of them memories where you can’t remember what it was. Then I found it again and rewatched a few episodes and it still stands up.
I've never seen this show before, but it looks pretty cool! I love puppetry stuff like this, so I'll probably track it down
This was one of my all time favourite shows growing up. It was funny, creative and really interesting ^^ One line I remember is when Mitchell tells Becky to break a leg when auditioning for a play or something just for templeton to say how awful that phrase is and has to have it explained to him that it meant good luck just for him to turn around and go "Oh... Then I hope you get hit by a bus! :D"
This show was one of my favourites when I was like 11 or 12. I would watch it every day, and constantly repeat episodes. I completely forgot about this show until I saw this video, and thank God the algorithm blessed me with it.
mid - late 2010s is the time TV, especially British TV, kind of died. Looking at anything on the same channels now, its usually reruns of older shows, or kind of… boring, even lower budget new shows. Still absolutely love the style of the puppets in Strange Hill High.
This is such a nostalgic moment
i haven’t thought about this show in years
I don't remember anything except the voice of the green character, the face of the pink character, and the tooth fairy episode that gave me nightmares.
Ah yes, this show, whenever It was on TV I'd always want to watch it, and when I was in Primary School, I remember there was this one Strange Hill High skateboard game I'd play on the computers in the library, although I forgot where I did that, regardless, I have fond memories of this show, It's probably one of the reasons why I enjoy these sort of concepts today c:
I saw this show as a kid and it creeped me out a lot. Not even any of the weird paranormal elements, just the general animation style. I remember the title sequence in particular was unsettling to me. The only good reason I could even give is that it's a bit of an unorthodox style, plus I was just scared of a lot of stuff as a kid.
Man I also love this show. I distinctly remember it having more than two seasons but when I go back and check it only had two.
I remember watching this but it’s such a blur to me, I think I maybe got freaked out watching it but still watched some of it
I had the strange hill high annual for 2016 I think. I had cool specs (cardboard) for Mitchell, Becky glasses and Templeton glasses. Forget the annuals contents but I read it so much I ripped a few pages apparently.
I managed to get this in my country as it gets a mix of British and Canadian cartoons. I remember it being a good time.
So glad people are talking about this show. I rediscovered it back in 2018. I mostly didn’t see anybody talk about it. Not to mention the show wasn’t very well know too : (
got insane nostalgia from hearing about this show again
Creepy ain't the word Freaky ain't the word Sneaky ain't the word See what I've observed 'Cause there's no easy way to describe this geeky place - Even geeky place doesn't tell you what I need to say This is Strange Hill where a talking frog can eat your face It's very, very random, you'll get used to these debates If you stick around, although I wouldn't recommend it When they used the name "Strange", mate they really meant it There's some things in life with which you just don't mess On every vest I got the letters S.O.S 'Cause you never know what might be lurking 'round the corner (Hey!) And what they might do if it ever found or saw ya Keep the lights on in the hallways, all day Things won't always tend to go your way Watch your back and be prepared Can't wait for 3:30, see ya there!
I used to be scared as fudge watching this when I was a kid☠️
I never watched this show because when I was in Year 8 (2009 to 2010), I completely stopped watching CBBC shows all together.
Im Australian but i used to occasionally watch this show whenever it came on tv and I loved it.
Ah hell ye, loved this show. Funny story, because of that episode where they went to the island with the giant kid and they were wearing prison uniforms for swimming costumes I always thought king kong was about a bunch of fugitives washing up on skull island, turns out it was a seperate gag.
i started crying when i saw templeten oh the memories
DUDE THAT FUCKING TOOTH FAIRY EPISODE TRAUMATISED ME
This show looks awesome! I love how the animation style is claymation/stop-motion combined with puppet style wires. Possibly a reference to the works of Gerry Anderson? I think it's a huge shame we don't see any British claymation shows anymore, but at least Aardman is going to make a Wallace and Gromit movie sometime this year. I personally wish Engie Benjy had stuck around at least a little while longer, it's a really charming show and I just adore the character designs and dry British humor.

Wait, theyre not actually puppets?
I really enjoyed Strange Hill High despite not being a big horror fan I can’t remember when I stopped watching TV and also gone terminally online but looking at what shows started airing at what years, my best guess would be 2016 because I never knew “Diddy TV” (first started airing in 2016) existed but I remember watching the title intro of “Little Roy” (also first started airing in 2016)
OMG I never thought a random piece of nostalgia will just pop up like this 🥲
I remember being sick in bed and turning this show on. Only today did I now find out this was a real show and not some bazaar fever dream
If someone asked me to give them shows that is just pure british, I'd show them this, Trap Door, Danger Mouse, Classic Doctor Who (Before they ruined it after Matt Smith), Shaun the Sheep and Wallce & Gromit
This video is so good I always thought this show was overlooked and I seriously hope you do a video on the animated all star short.

just got done rewatching all 26 episodes and it was good but gotta feel bad for my boy Templeton, bro's homelife jeez.
I loved this show so much, had both series on DVD as a child. I swear NOBODY my age has heard of it (although we must have been like exactly the target age when it came out so ???) which is so sad to me bc it genuinely shaped my sense of humour so much when I was younger. Also the tooth fairy episode was my fave as a child!! It is properly impressive how insane it manages to get for a 20 minute children’s tv episode lol
I remember an episode where they break maths somehow and everything goes all wrong
i grew up on Cartoon Network but remember this show from watching it on bbc iplayer
I somehow remember watching this show when I was around 5 or 6
Oh this unlocks a memory, great vid mate
Ahhh. A video about the tv show that gave me nightmares for 3 years. Im so glad that someone is talking about this show
10/10 video! you deserve more views fr keep cooking
Gotta admit the character designs look cool.
I used to love this show as a kid!
I absolutely love the character designs! I'll definitely have to check out this show!
I adored this show when I was younger, I loved how edgy it was for little me and was so unique and funny compared to other shows at the time. Might rewatch some of it because it truly is such a fun show
holy fuck the thumbnail just hit me with a bunch of memories i did not even know existed
This show was so good and I wish more people knew about it
I never heard of this cartoon before today but I think I got a new favorite show
I never watched CBBC as a kid but I remember using the website in school and I totally forgot this show existed! I remember a friend of mine mentioning it a few times back in the day
I remember this! I only saw some bits of it when I was younger and didn’t remember what it was called growing up, this video immediately brought me back.
Me and my siblings loved this show! The theme song was sooo good!!
