+Jason Button Agreed but also their stadium doesn't meet Serie A standards, just imagine 3000/4000 Juventus fans going there to see a match, they just can't take it at the moment. The problem is that Carpi is such a small club that nobody inculding the owners expected them to climb the ladder so fast so they were caught off guard. What happened was like if Newport County suddenly finds themselfs in the Premier League..

Kermvino l fair point, but the ground is a major part of any club's identity, by playing somewhere else they aren't the same club who worked their way through the pyramid

absolutely killing it with these Italian documentaries people seem to forget how this was the super league of the 90's and how they dominated Europe in many different ways and now that the money has gone most of these clubs are either struggling or a just keeping together. as for carpi I feel for them having to travel to Modena for their home games. the greed in football at the moment is getting out of control.

+Jonte Neilan The Atmosphere is England is nothing compared to teams even playing division football in Germany and Italy. I advise you to look at Salernitana's tifosi, they just got promoted to Serie B, no English club has ever achieved that atmosphere

+mo mo You should visit one of our home games during the season if you can! The atmosphere is even better than in the pre-season as most of our fans were on their holidays at that time.

I'm loving all of these foreign documentaries, it's so interesting learning all about football from a different perspective than the English leagues. Keep it up Copa 90!

Their first season in Serie A and they basically have to play every game away... Not good at all for football. This season should be a season to remember for Carpi fans by watching their team at home and instead they have to travel to every game on a coach thus making it more costly.

I'm italian and this situation represents perfectly the huge problem with the italian stadiums. Run-down buildings that are property of the municipalities and not of the clubs like in many other european countries. Only Juventus now has is owned stadium and since its inauguration things have been only improved for the "Vecchia Signora". This is the stadium with the highest attendance and can offer many comforts that in the other old, horrible stadiums you can't find it. Apart from the legendary San Siro and the new Udinese stadium (search on google) the other stadiums can't compete to the ultra-modern arenas that we can find in UK or Germany. Italian football urges special laws to permit the construction of new builidings, this would be the first step for returning to be the best league in the world

Due to the small size of the stadium, Carpi plays in Modena, which is the main city of the province. Modena Fc plays in serie b on saturday and Carpi fc plays on sunday in serie a, but it's also the same stadium. The distance between Modena and Carpi is about 20/25 kilometres.

the guy said all the league cares about is money. But without it there would be no league in the first place.

rules are rules! 10% of the average stadium capacity is the amount of fans the away team get. in the premier league this 3,000. If this was the same in the serie A then there would be more away fans than home at capris stadium. That cant happen!

Only the newer ones where they look like flat pack Ikea stadiums, but old, classic grounds like St James Park, Anfield, Old Trafford, Hillsborough, Goodison, Villa Park, etc. are great grounds. The modern dome stadium is awfulbittgere are plenty of gems
