I don’t know why so many of these tutorials cut above the rubber band. You should cut below it. It’s easier to straighten out any angles.

I agree I always cut below the band .. for me it acts as a guide and its easier to straighten if you have a bit of an angle on your cut

You have more control when you cut above the rubber band. That’s the point. When you cut it below if the hair shifts somehow or you don’t get it all in one cut you risk making it uneven.

If I had a bob haircut, and now the hair back is shorter than the one in front, when I'm cutting it, I should cut diagonally instead of straight, so that it becomes straight from the back?

It's nice to see a young lady on KZread that isn't "affected" & wearing way too much makeup! It's seems like so many do this, & it's really off-putting! They look like either hookers or dolls! Either way, it's just overkill! It's fine for a "dressy" more formal occasion to do a more glamorous makeup application, but not so much that a person looks fake. I applaud your natural approach to beauty. You're a good role model for young ladies. 👍👏😀🤗

hookers* and dolls* or did you mean hooker is and doll is? And "young ladies" don't have to dress or do makeup for you to like. Good day.

Mariana PTKS Oh, hi, hunny. I guess voice recognition typing continues to suck, as per usual. Yes, certainly, "Young ladies" can do as they please with makeup & clothing, but people WILL have opinions about how that looks & how they are portraying themselves in the world. Portraying one's self so artificially on the outside, makes people believe that they are also artificial on the inside, and they won't be taken seriously in life, especially in a business environment. It's a fact.

  • @marianaptks9933

Hi, you don't know me so please don't address me with pet names. No, is a known sexist issue that women who don't wear makeup to work are not taken as seriously. I don't partake in neither, i am a very firm advocate that one's value as a person and professional shouldn't be judged based on whether or not one wears makeup or is dressed up. Take care.
