I know I just hate when people act like its not a big deal but they don't have it if they did they would not act like it not a big deal.It is annoying as hell when you cant even look into someone in the eye without thinking you are going to scare them away or just look like and outcast That is a basic thing we do all the time when we talk

I’m getting this surgery tomorrow! My eyes have been my biggest insecurities. I’m afraid of interviews or even presenting to my class for a project because I hate people staring at me. I’ve taught myself to never look anyone in the eyes because I’m just so embarrassed and wouldn’t want to scare them or be judged. I’ve had this surgery when I was 9 before and I’m getting it again at 16. I don’t Remember a lot from that operation but I’m very nervous for tomorrow and can’t wait to not make this an insecurity anymore

I’m only 11 and I’m very insecure about my lazy eye. I want to get surgery but it’s very expensive so I don’t really know if it will ever be fixed. It kills me inside when I’m staring at somebody and they ask me what I’m staring at. Like when I’m looking at a person they ask me “are you looking at me” I just say no because I get so embarrassed. The crazy thing is even little kids notice it. So embarrassing. 💔

@@nyrae_yt8744 Yeah same, my esatropia was always embarrassing to me because I didn’t want my friends to notice plus I would see double things but then I got this surgery a week ago and it was amazing but it will hurt for a few days after the surgery and you may not be able to open them for 2 to 3 days but in the end it’s all so worth it, I can see perfect and there is no eye turn anymore. So if you ever get the opportunity to get this surgery I defiantly would say to get it and if you ever get an opportunity!

Yes , I also did it Yesterday .

I just got this surgery yesterday and it was painless under anesthesia. My vision is crisp and clear now. No more double vision! It feels great to have my vision back! Highly recommend anyone suffering from strabismus to speak to their eye doctor about the possibility of surgery.

@@DallanaMejia-Ys7 Don't let the video scare you. In fact dont even think too much into the procedure itself. Leave it up to the surgeon! Im assuming they will put you to sleep throughout the procedure which will make it painless. Just trust in the procedure and i wish you a good outcome! Better vision awaits you!

Hi, I am the same age as you and just got the surgery done this week. Pain is not bad, maybe a bit sore. Been sleeping a lot b/c of the anesthesia effects though I think. Day 3 tomorrow.

@@Namqul13 yep. my eyes are much more aligned after the surgery. Still have anxiety issues but things have gotten better 😊

My favorite is when they look over there shoulder like " are they looking at me " so frustrating

I had this surgery 8 days ago and the first day it hurted so much since they had to do it on both of my eyes to line them both up since if they did it on one eye the other eye would’ve been crossed it was so painful and really irritating but I feel so much better now and I’m happy that I did it before so I don’t have to experience that pain again!

I'll be 30 in November and all my life I thought my condition was hereditary because my mom told me so. so I learned to live with it. Then I had my daughter and started noticing it on her. At first it wasnt as much, until it was noticable. I come to find out that this problem can be fixed by my daughters ophthalmologist. She's 7 and is schedule for her surgery on Monday. Kind of wanna do it myself but I have a really high self esteem regardless of my condition. I'm happy the way I am. But my daughter is a child and super sensitive. She tells me that all the kids in school ask her why her eye just wonders off at times. I wont let her go through what I went through.

Sup dude! well if you don't mind me telling you..the day of the procedure (for me anyway) I felt quite a bit of irritation. The following day it sort of intensified and i also got an itchy sensation. However, after the first week or so everything started subsiding

You need to get a second opinion. I had a similar situation and just had surgery a few days ago,.they are straight and working together again. I'm in some pain still because I had to have 3 muscles done but it's not to bad. The worst part is my eyes look so red I look possessed lol. That will do away in a week or 2 💜💜

I sleep day and night because of my lazy eyes..can't stand whenever I'm with my friends...

I had this surgery back in 1989, thinking it would finally allow me to control both eyes. Nope. It simply aligned them. 3-D glasses are still useless.....and I still cannot swing both eyes to the left. I can do everything with my eyes.....individually.....look up/down/left/right. But together? Nope.

If you are reading this and worried to go to the doctors /hospital it really is not that bad. I am 35 and have suffered with this condition for 20 years. I started by getting a referral to the hospital in October from my optician. I visited the royal berks in reading (uk) for 3 separate appointments.. Today i had my final eye measurements taken,blood pressure,bmi and blood sample which was quick and painless. My operation is booked in for 10 days time at the royal berkshire. I decided to get surgery because it was effecting my confidence. Don't be worried what hospital staff will think of your condition they are lovely people.

@@sabamaryum1200 So I had my operation on the 5th of march. The op went really well and the surgeon was pleased with results. One thing I was not prepared for was how confused I felt for a couple of days after the op. The eye was very red and felt scratchy for a good three weeks. The eye's were lined up perfectly for the first two weeks but has drifted slightly out again but it's much better than it was before and I am happy with it. My consultants name was martin leyland I would recommend him to anyone.

I’ve had this condition as long as I can remember and I am 63 my eye doctor told me this would not work for me but I started going The Illinois eye Institute and the doctors told me there did the surgery would work for me but now I have other medical issues that have prevent me from having the surgery twice I love to read this is the only reason that I want to try this again

I had this surgery on an inward crossing eye in 1969. I spent three days in the hospital!
