The greatest sell from a wrestler was Take your vitamins Do your exercise And say your prayers What simple but excellent suggestions to young rasslin fans and parents loved this . And it was The Hulkster that gets credit for this as he should . Hulk wasn’t perfect and far from my favorite but nobody’s perfect except curt hennig . But it was and still is a really good thing to tell youngsters starting out their little lives . Hulkster will always be remembered for this .

Only reason Eddie was put on in AEW is cause Brodie Lee spoke for him. And what he said backstage at the tribute show is why they keep him on AEW tv.

Being English I never got to see the Mulkeys at the time, but after listening to Cornette I've watched what I could find of them and I was blown away by their insane bumping, I don't think I've seen anybody ever take bumps like that, especially as they were probably getting paid almost nothing

More pearls from Dutch. I had to watch his Hogan comments twice 💀🤣and his I couldn't agree more with his thoughts on Eddie Kingston. I never watched TNA and was introduced to Eddie Kingston in Billy Corgan's NWA and was blown away by his talent. After watching wrestling for decades it's hard to draw me in the way Eddie did. His promos and body language is as authentic as it gets.

Mike London ran Sunday night rasslin in Albuquerque and had sell outs many times over. Our guy was Ricky Romero baby face and heel was cyclone negro but we saw the champions both funks , Harley race, Abdullah and my fav. Bruiser Brodie who hailed from Santa Fe NM. NWA was our banner. I sold cokes there going up and down the isles where people sat cause of over crowding I’d sell the whole rack of cokes in one isle. Fun times and good cash money for a 14 yr old poor boy . I’d buy all my friends breakfast burritos Monday morning 😎

I am so conflicted about Eddie Kingston. He has a great backstory, and he is one of the better promos I have ever seen in my 30 years as a fan. At the same time, he has no business being in the ring at this point. In the last few matches I have seen with him, he is blown up after a minute or two. He is clearly getting heavier, and his conditioning has worsened since he has been in AEW. That should not be happening. It is clear that he is not working out at all, and his conditioning is reaching the point where I would not feel safe putting him in the ring if I was running the company. If he does not change his lifestyle, it is only a matter of time before something bad happens.

Dutch has one of the best minds in the business period. People like him need to be utilised, as we’re seeing the slow and creeping death of wrestling, or at least what it was about. Watch a modern day match and then watch a classic match like a Steamboat bs Flair or a Hart vs Mr. perfect for example. I think the late 80s were probably the maximum point you could push wrestling and still make it believable. From the 90s onwards it slowly started becoming a spot fest.

@@six6thdisciple Well, Road Dogg was part of the DX, so he was a draw. Bret on the other hand? He never was a draw. He was the worst drawing WWF Champion from 1992 until 2001 and still holds the distinction for main eventing the worst drawing PPV in WWE History (and the second worst drawing Wrestlemania on top of that) It never ceases to amaze me that people can't understand that Bret never drew a dime in his life. He couldn't even draw in his hometown Calgary.
