Story of a Black Child || Julius Malema

We are Changing the narratives Of Mother Africa through KZread Videos..One Video at a Time...
It's Time For Africans To Tell Their Own Story!
__
EFF president Julius Malema has given the party five years to build a new school…
Malema was addressing delegates during the end of the party’s elective conference in Nasrec.
Malema vowed that should the party not build a new private school, they would have failed in its mandate.
He undertook that the newly-elected leadership will make the project one of their priorities.
Malema promised that the school would be in the standard of other popular private schools in the country.
The EFF school will employ teachers from South Africa and Zimbabwe, among other African countries.
“The school will be built in Alexandra and we will buy the land properly and fit it with all amenities. We will even go to Zimbabwe to get the best teachers to teach our kids if whites don’t want to.”
He questioned why international media mogul and businesswoman Oprah Winfrey built a private school in South Africa while local businessmen and women failed to do so.
“Why should Oprah come and build a school here? We are not a charitable country. We like what she did and has inspired us. I want to see kids of the poor flourishing. I am child of a domestic worker. My mother suffered epilepsy and she could not do anything for me.
“But, people saw potential in me and groomed me. We stayed in a shack and slept without food. I used to run to her when she came back from work carrying leftovers. I know what poverty does to our people,” said Malema.
He said no white person can tell him about growing up in poverty.
“My life changed because someone said he can change the life of this man. It shouldn’t be easy to align with people who want to destroy a black child,” he said.

You took me back almost 40+years when me and my brother use to run to get our mom and aunty looking forward for some left over dessert cause we never could afford that. I spend most of my adulthood striving and working hard to put poorest of poor kids through University and fought hard for them as a teacher. Still remember my teacher telling me that I will become nobody in life. God bless you and your party comrade.

@@josespinola5778 No, not at all! He/She shouldn’t be a racist, he/she should help those that find themselves in that exact situation just like many in their family for generations! It can’t be because they’re stupid....all these generations? It’s South Africa, things happened to people because of the color of their skin. The message is precisely that, go out and achieve success and come back to help others in your community because for centuries those that forcefully occupied your country, took your land and resources to only advance the lives of those that look like them; will not suddenly think it is their duty to do so! Help others, help the fellow victims of centuries of suffering, help victims of the LEGACY of apartheid! It is about the legacy of apartheid in South Africa; democracy didn’t come with bags of money for everyone and government can’t feed everyone! Not even epilepsy, like in Malema’s mother’s case, affected only blacks, NO, anyone can get epilepsy but believe me; how Malema’s mother was treated, the type of medical attention she received....is many times inferior to what a white fellow South African epilepsy sufferer received! That’s racism as we know it in SA! If you’re South African you ought to know, otherwise you’re a denialist or apartheid sympathizer or both!

A beautiful and inspirational story. My story is slightly different. I'm a white woman who contracted polio at 10 months. My left leg is about 7 cm shorter than the right leg. This resulted in spinal curvature. My parents were of average wealth - all the money in the world could not fix or improve my situation. When other children were playing outside, I'd be looking through the window and read a book. I studied hard and got a bursary to study teaching. After teaching English for 10 years, I trained Supervisors and Middle Managers various courses, ranging from Presentation Skills, Communication, Conflict Resolution, Report Writing etc. I also worked with the EU on Capacity Building. I always had to work 50% harder than everybody else because 80% of people out there think that because you have a physical disability you are mentally impaired as well. I am now 67, retired and use a mobility scooter, which I saved for and bought myself. I do not have children, because I did not want to expose them to the cruel world of mockery which I had to endure. I would not have been able to handle it if my children were ostracized because their mommy was a "cripple". We all have our own stories to tell - stories of poverty, pain, heartache, addiction etc - let's not generalize, let us not judge - let us love and respect each other. My motto in life is behaviour breeds behaviour or simply put - treat others as you are treated.

SABC ,MULTICHOICE and E-Tv like all other press and other broadcasters in S.A. need to be neutral and not aline themselves with any political party or political narrative or promote any political agenda . In a free and fair democratic society all media needs to be neutral, impartial and objective . However in saying that, the problem is that the SABC is unfortunately state owned and has now become a propaganda tool of the ANC. This is the downside of all state owned broadcasters. That is why I am one of many people who believe that certain entities like the SABC needs to be privatized.

@Mothokoa Kgobe Madiba did not betray or sell us out . He chose an option that prevented us from going into a civil war that would have reduced S.A. into smoke and rubble and our streets struined with blood and dead bodies. And this civil war would still be raging today. Madiba chose an option that removed our social chains and opened the the door to an equal education and freedom of movement, expression and speech within our own country. His option helped us regain our self respect and dignity in front of the world . His actions made possible the creation of an environment in which we could stand up today and fight for our own economic emancipation and upliftment. Yes the fight for our economic upliftment continues today. But Julius is not the right man to lead us in this regard. Because his policies of taking over an existing economic infrastructure that was designed and built by someone else and claiming it as our own is flawed. This action makes us as black South Africans look weak and pathetic because the rest of the world will see us a a people that are so useless that we cant create, develop or build anything of our own so we seize what others have built and claim their achievements as our own. Madibas actions in the past led to the creation of an environment that exists within South Africa today where opportunities for economic self development and upliftment are now freely available to all our people. Just look at the rapidly increasing number of black entrepreneurs and black owned enterprises and other black owned entities in all sectors of South Africas economic tapestry. As long as this trend continues black South Africans will have naturally and fairly taken up our fair share of South Africa's economic infrastructure and we would have made it larger and more powerful this way. This will be beneficial to all South Africans irrespective of race or political affiliation.

I agree with Stanley. I'm from South Africa and seeing this has given me a different perspective on Malema. I watch this from China at least once a week. It's true that this is the narrative of a black child, one may not have had this experience first-hand but we certainly know of people who do. SA history has watered down our African culture in ways that we do not even realise. Pardon me but I do not like to refer to us as black people because that term is a legacy of apartheid and it is filled with hate. Anyway, someone else might deny this but we've learned to express ourselves in ways that make caucasians comfortable - the opposite of what Malema does. He does not raise comfortable points and that's only what the media shows us. As a result, Africans in SA do not know what Malema truly stands for because the media manipulates his image so that everyone hates him, including Africans. The part where he says "it should not be easy to align yourself with people who destroy the African child" moved me because in SA, living in a predominantly caucasion suburb and going to a caucasian school is considered high-class/successful - it's what people aim to achieve. Are we not teaching our children to align with their destroyers very young thus destroying their identity as Africans? We are. I'm 25 with no kids but okay, lol.
