Kumusta po? Ang sarap talaga ng kakaning pinoy! Today, I harvested glutinous rice and made kakanin to celebrate my sister's birthday. The traditional way of harvesting rice is hard and tiring. But the sweetness of my kakanin, took away all the tiredness in me. There are many kinds of kakanin(rice cake) in my country and today I made ine of them. It is called 'inkiwar'. That's a rice cake made out of hardwork and pure love.. A realization showing how farmers work so hard just for everyone to have food in their table..But businessmen are gaining more than farmers.

Farmers are one of the most industrious people in the planet who deserves a bigger income, more than ceos, bankers, celebrities and actors. Without farmers, we all go hungry! What a crazy world we live in. Sometimes, I just scratch my head.. Keep it up, Ben. Some of us go into a shop and grab things on the shelf, not realizing the hard work behind every produce and product we get. I am humbled just by watching the entire process of the glutinous rice you made, from the farm to the table. Thank you and much respect!

Ang suman sa amin eh 'yung binabalot ng dahon ng saging. 'Yung niluto ni Ben dito eh kankanen or inkiwar ang tawag naming mga Ilocano.

Grabe effort put forth before we can have the rice we enjoy everyday 3x a day. Kaya po we shld see to it na di ito nasasayang at natatapon lang. My ❤ to all farmers who labor for us to have food on our table!! God bless po!
