What an amazing person, she's so resourceful, efficient despite the hardship of living in this climate and in a remote area, and alone it would appear. What I loved about this video is that the only sounds you heard were related to her working, no dialogue . This film makes you appreciate the modern conveniences but also realize the beauty in living a simpler life, even if more challenging in many ways.

Humbling for sure, but why would anyone want to live out there… I guess she doesn’t have a choice… We don’t always have that choice. I’ve always work two full-time jobs and a part-time. I know what hard work is but that wasn’t by choice it was what I had to do must be the same for her.

I scrubbed this video because I could hear here swallow. Grossed me out.

She has a calming effect on me. I also just quietly go about what needs to be done myself, and people say they enjoy being around me because I don’t expect to fill the air with a lot of talking. I enjoy the sounds of every day chores. It means there is life and love in this place. Whenever you share her videos, I just sit back and enjoy them. Sometimes I have no idea what ingredients she’s using, or herbs or spices….but I don’t care, I watch and listen anyway. I love when she sings while she works, I find myself hoping she will with every new video…even though I don’t know the words, its still nice to listen to her sing.

Maria reminds me of my own grandmother. I was born in Norway and we lived a quiet lifestyle cooking on wood burning stoves in the 1950’s and 1960’s. My grandma had a whole in the heart. I cannot imagine the pain I admire Maria, her strength, determination, faith and many skills! So lovely to see her hugging her dog! ❤

I've seen this woman before and she cooks various traditional meals. She is wonderful especially when looking for mushrooms and berries. She's well organized and canned a lot of vegetables for her disposal when making dishes so she won't have to do delayed in making those wonderful meals. As for pizza, this must be new to me - because she cooks many meals from scratch but never seen her cook pizza. Simple life may look that way but it can be challenging especially in this cold wintering weather.

I absolutely enjoy watching her videos 📹she is so creative But most importantly she is so clean with her cooking.

I left the city after years of being exhausted from a fast-paced life. Too much noise, commotion and distractions that distorts your vision of life. Literally skewed my thinking about living. Moved to a very rural area of less than 1000 people, served the indigents and lived amongst them. Nature cleansed my delusions with peace and contentment. I now live on top of a hill overlooking a river, a big lake and the town where I work. Surrounded by a prairie and some wild flowers during spring and forestry nearby if I want to hike. What a joy.

This woman lives alone because she wants to live alone. ♥️

I have really enjoyed watching Maria's interesting and healthy life and her wonderful cooking. Her dishes are so nutritious, fresh, and healthy. I have never gotten bored with Maria's videos. I also love the way she dresses. Her clothes could be traditional or modern and stylishly coordinated. I love everything about Maria's life including her beautiful houses and animals. She is such a talented woman. She could cook and bake very well, manage her farm effectively, make beautiful scarves and clothes, skillfully embroider clothes...She is also a very energetic and strong woman. I really admire you, Maria! ++I would like to add that the creator of these videos is very talented. He/she has captured successfully and vividly the amazing beauty of the beautiful Ukrainian mountains and the interesting lives of the people in the videos including their delicious dishes.

It's all a facade. The house is modern inside. Modern kitchen, bath, electricity, running water, satellite etc. The house is actually listed as a vacation rental. There was a link for that on one of their previous videos showing the inside of house. She is not by herself. There is a camera crew. She may or may not actually live there. These videos are meant to advertise the area, the culture and produce income from KZread.

The Ukrainian people in these videos are proudly sharing some of their traditional culture at a time when outside forces are trying to destroy it and them. If they choose to dress up in head to toe traditional attire and cook on an open fire in their yard, all while having modern clothes and appliances we don't see in the videos, it doesn't mean they're being disingenuous.
