People fail to release that George Lucas wanted to show everyone what Luke would’ve been if he was trained by Vader, so insert Starkiller. All of his feats are strong sure but in the novels his father grabbed a tie fighter, which is a high level feat compared to movies and shows and Vader said his father was a weak Jedi compared to one’s he’s killed before. Limitations in the movies and shows have really made the fandom think force users cannot do similar things to Starkiller when they can in many comics/novels.

Funny thing is that in the next game, cal has some obviously Star killer inspired abilities and lightsaber abilities, especially with duel sabers. Infact, in one of his kill animations with the duel sabers, he throws both his lightsabers into the chest of a enemy in the same way as Starkiller. Speaking of throwing, his charged saber throw with the duel lightsabers is extremely similar to Star killer’s.

That Oggdo-Boggdo was seriously difficult. Even more in Jedi Survivor, because those Oggdo’s tongue grapple attacks are an instant kill, which you can sometimes escape by using slow. If you’re lucky, slow glitches you out of the grapple. But in Fallen Order, if you’re at a reasonable difficulty, it’s just a highly damaging attack, that you CAN survive with enough health. And can I say fighting TWO of them at once, is just a nightmare. (Not as much as a Rancor though…).

Saying he didn't struggle at all is a bit much. Yes, his power allowed him to win all of his fights, but he only got that way due to brutal training under Darth Vader. His struggle is mostly internal as he transitions from Sith apprentice to Jedi. In the books, his force and lightsaber abilities are closer to par than depicted in game. He is powerful, but not overpowered. Even in the games, he fights like a very strong rogue who has a bag of tricks that can capitalize on his opponents weaknesses. Not someone who just bodies every strong opponent instantly.

It really did remind me of Starkiller's unleashed mode. I can only hope that in a dlc or a 3rd Cal Kestis game he gets to spend more time being incredibly strong. That said there's also a new game + perk that makes you and all enemies do a lot more dmg could be a little bit closer to that power fantasty.

I'd love a crossover game where it's like a solo/co op game where you play as Cal and Star Killer. You'd be able to swap between then your friends could join in and play the character you're not using online or local. You'd have to use them to solve puzzles, fight bosses, explore the galaxy I'd think it'd be fun.

See Cal was barely trained, although it was by a decent Jedi Master, and spent most of his life repressing his force sensitivity. This meant he basically had to relearn everything, although he did get help, and make a name for himself. While Starkiller was sorta trained by a Jedi early on and then was trained by the most powerful force user in the universe, Darth Vader (well he would be but getting chopped up like sushi and being put into a suit that limits you is not very good). He then went on the learn stuff from Kota. So y'know obvious power difference. But yeah both are cool in their own way, if you want grounded Cal is for you. If you want strong endless power, Starkiller is for you. Although one thing I like is the Emperor is always one step ahead and that Vader is no easy feet.

And since he was never trained to fight alongside allies, dude just erupted when threatened. There's a theory that he was traumatised, and torture-trained. Making his powers develop unstable-like.
