Vergil: Disrespects his enemies by killing them with such finesse and aloofness that you can almost hear him saying, “Tsk. You’re not worth expending even 1% of my true power.” Nero: Disrespects his enemies by picking them up and yeeting them into the nearest wall/building/mountain/other enemies, using wrestling moves on them, and all-in-all treating *them* like dead weight. most demons just act like beasts, a few of them can actually think and even talk, but almost none of them think of Dante as someone worthy of respect. They have the henchman mentality of "You beat the literal fucking king of Hell? Lmao he was weak then, imma beat you". The few honorable ones would still fight Dante looking to prove themselves superior. Like goddamn Berial, he knew Dante's shenanigans and he still decided to fuck with him, even after losing to Nero just a few hours before.

The gauntlet weapons in dmc 5 literally became his weapons because the demon just thought Dante was a badass. There were even demons in dmc 3 who just became Dante’s weapons because they just like the way the guy could fuck shit up 😭

@@magnav6797 those demons already turned themselves into weapons before meeting Dante, it's not the same context. Only demons that willingly became Dante's weapons, that we know of, were Cerberus and Nevan. All the other demons he killed throughout the series disrespected the hell out of Dante.

fun fact: the reason Dante doesn't reload Ebony and Ivory is because they're magic and as long as he alternates firing them after one another they never run out of ammo Correction: only the bullets are magic. guns themselves were specially made by Nico's mother.

@@sewy214 According to the DMC lore (I might be getting this wrong because people on the internet lie), Dante was 38 in DMC4, and at that time Nero was at the same age Dante was in DMC3. DMC3 Dante was about 19 years old, and since Vergil is his twin brother that means Vergil had sex and had a son _before_ his twenties, not during them.

If it isn’t Dante disrespecting you, it’s Nero putting you in a demonic command grab with his esoteric blue hand, or Vergil deciding you don’t get to live anymore.

@@BoltBlast179 It was supposed to be a reboot, but Dante was made to look like one of the lead designers as a self insert, Vergil was straight up destroyed as a character - his most egregious moment being where he shoots a pregnant demon lady during a prisoner transfer, Mundus was some fat kinpin type. From what I've seen gameplay was good with decent choice in weapons as well but the story was such ass no fan of DMC would touch it, especially when in one cutscene Donte has a white mop fall on his head giving him the classic look and he turns to the camera and says not in a million years which just pissed fans of even more.

The idea that the demon's ass-kicking was so traumatic that he memorized the background music is the funniest shit to me.

@@dm8in DMC 3 Shadow room. Dante canonically collected the Doppelganger ability first. Nero doesn't arrive until DMC 4 with his JoJo stand. The DMC 4 SE does feature Vergil some, but he only has a standard DT vs the Doppelganger DT we witness in DMC V on top of his SDT. So, canonically, Dante had the Doppelganger power first.

Here is Dante character arc Dante DMC 1 and 3: Vibing doing fuck all listening to music and eating pizza before his brother ruins his vibe. Dante DMC 4: Bulling Nero because his brother never told him he has a nephew. Dante DMC 5 start: DEPRESSED AS FUCK because his brother is missing(or dead for all he know), he's having a midlife crisis, and fighting doesn't feel the same without his brother talking shit to him. DONTE (DmC) looks like tweeker brit, who drinks, smokes, and bangs hookers. He curses and has such glorious exchanges with other demons which just amounts to them shouting F- you at it each for 30 seconds straight. Dude straight up talks with his brother about who's got the bigger dick. The fact is the creator and writers for the OC didn't care if he was cool or not. Dante is effectively the end result of early B action movie which is why a mid 00 edgy switch up was bad. When you TRY and make a character cool and not know who your audience is you get Donte.

Nero's got this generally more feeling of force in his attacks, considering he is trying harder than Dante and Vergil due to making them suffer, and having a lil bit if style and disrespect by emoting, and then blasting with his guns. Or using moves from WWE and pulling a John Cena, Rock etc casually. Even more brutal with DT Buster, or Devil Buster Arm.

Dante was literally wearing Black Tims in DMC3. Like look closely at his shoes in the cutscenes. From the moment the demons saw that, they should've known he was about that life. Edit: Oh and keep in mind that a lot of what they talked about was BEFORE Dante had even unlocked his Devil Trigger. That whole with the poll table and the rocket was just him in his base form!

And then later on when he reunites with his brother in dmc 5 around the end, they both fighting each other just to pass time in the underworld Of course, the demons were dumb enough to interrupt them and got their fades ran while they’re just casually having a conversation about their past.😂

I love the evolution of the minions here going from being traumatized to talking with each other over how fun the disrespect Dante gives the big bosses, like the ‘king of the world.’ It’s hilarious as hell and a different approach from the other videos.

A few notes on Dante in universe. He could theoretically one shot most if not all his enemies but he likes to have fun with them. Also his air combos. I remember one DMC producer claimed that he can do that in universe but what is actually happening is he is moving so fast het gets all those moves in before gravity can pull him or the enemy down.

This was hilarious! I loved how the demons went from being traumatized, then realizing that Dante is the coolest badass around, to being insulted on Dante's behalf when Larry showed that pic of That-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named. Absolutely brilliant XD

Dude virgil essentially just goes on a murder spree every few years to errect a giant [tower] or [tree] then goes to hell and faces no repercussions from Dante for it other than "hey dick move stop it"

This series showed that dante is a different breed...that man built different

When I was a kid I idolized Dante for some reason. I still kinda do as the coolest character ever made. I replayed the series many times and still wanna play it right now.

Dante is one of the few characters that act the same during game play as they do in cutscenes.

@@ekamandalaputra5517 It is undeniably cool to see that play out, I agree. The only thing that ruins it for me is that with V, you need to be planning out your next four or five moves in advance. Griffon acts like your gun, but he also has his own move set. Shadow is your main weapon, but if you have to dodge for any reason, it cancels whatever combo you had going on at the time because Shadow dematerializes to help you dodge when you’re on the ground. Same with Griffon in the air. Add on top of that they all have their own health bar, and remembering every single combo in the middle of a fight, he becomes the equivalent of “mash the buttons and watch something happen.” I don’t hate V, far from it. He’s one of the best parts of the game. I just can’t get around his style. But that’s just me.

I first meet Dante in dmc 3 (when I rented the game from some video store) and after that first scene I knew..."This guy...is the guy" lol the sauce on that man is unmeasurable till this day still one of my favorite video game characters of all time
