An evil queen has imprisoned all the fairies in the land and it's up to Stormlord to rescue them.
The game is an action-platformer with some basic puzzle elements. Certain items need to be collected and used in the correct order so as to grant access to the trapped fairies. The items must be collected in the correct order as it's easy to get stuck and end up in a situation where you cannot complete the game.
There is a strict time limit on each level (indicated by the sun-to-moon graphic in the bottom panel), so speed is of the essence. Working out the correct item order, killing/avoiding enemies and general navigation all take time and it's very easy to fail because you took too long.
After each stage, Stormlord has the chance to earn an extra life by shooting fairies with love-hearts and collecting 10 of the tears that they drop.
I remember owning this back in the day, but it was insanely difficult, so I never got close to finishing the first level.
I don't remember paying much attention to the giant, naked fairies that seem to be emerging from urns and pots; I was probably too young to have taken much notice.
Technically, the game is pretty good. The graphics are very well drawn and animated, and there is some great music from Jeroen Tel/Charles Deenen too. However, I did encounter one bug towards the end of the game were Stormlord fell through the floor, so I deliberately sacrificed a life to prevent getting stuck in a perpetual falling limbo.
Sadly, there is no ending and the game simply loops once you complete level 4.
Enjoy!

It was Johannes Bjerregaard who did the music. One of his first tunes using the MON sound routine. His best work imo was done using his own routine, but he joined MON for the money imo.

You can argue all u want, but it won't change the fact Bjerregard did the music for the game. Just check CSDb and GB64.

He did the loading music, the one with samples, not the game or the music in this video.

@@jmp01a24 You seem to know who did what on this game. Title music : Jeroen Tel? Menu music : Johannes Bjerregaard? In game music : Charles Deenen? Why Bjerregaard is not credited in the menu? Thanks for your answers.

@@niceanddestroyed J. Tel wrote the loading music (the one with samples) but the title music was written by Johannes, who also did the ingame music. The sfx was made by Charles Deenen, who also made the sound routine used by Maniacs of Noise. The reason for "bad" credits. Hm? It was Johannes first track for MON. For him it was a strictly money thing joining MON. He had made tons of music earlier, but always in his own music routine. I was active in the scene and met Bjerregard around the time (Summer 89), that's how I know many of these things by heart.

This looks better on the C64 than on the Amiga. It sounds better too on the C-64. Well the Amiga versions doesn't look bad, but the C-64 version looks very good.

Boobs. My parents paid full price for this game in 1989 and got completely stumped on the second level.

It looks creepy because of the size of the objects relative to the main character. A bit like a bad dream or Dadaism.

It seems the guys who came up with the concept made the C64, Spectrum and Amstrad versions, then others ported it to Amiga, Atari ST, DOS and lastly Genesis/Mega Drive. I played through most of the Amiga version and it's such a half-arsed job. I stopped playing it when I found out from the internet that it just repeats after the last stage. The people who did the DOS port tacked on a little ending message as did those who did the Gen/MD, which also has about five extra stages. I doubt that any version is really worth the time and effort though. If you like nude fairies, there's Boris Vallejo calendars.

The C64 version has a kicking sound track in addition to the fairy boobs, and I think that pushes it over the line compared to the others. 😁
