We need more MAGICAL ANIME CAT GIRLS in our lives

Creep Camps were always one of the aspects of WC3 I never cared for, and I recall being excited when they weren't a part of SC2, so I remain less then excited about them being an integral part of Stormgate. That said, I'll continue to be open to the idea as much as I can, and frankly, I'm mainly here for the pve anyway, so I suspect this won't really effect me one way or the other, this is the kind of change for a different kind of player them I am and thats fine.

Same, it was so stupid and from what I see here, they seem completely useless even compared to wc3. At least it was cool that it dropped an item for your hero in wc3 and it was quite exciting to get an item that was good for your hero although I wish those items were more powerful than they were. On the contrary, in this game it seems completely useless and I wonder what they are thinking adding it, as it's pretty clearly a really boring useless mechanic.

I mean, do XelNaga tower count as camps? Vision camps kinda do the same thing. I'd say having a camp nearby that gives health to your entire army after a fight is pretty dang impactful. Also, more resources on the map to fight for will encourage more map control.

@@Kern361 If the opponent is using it, there would be some units you have to fight off in order to take it back for your own use. Sure, SG could always rebalance the creeps to be weaker, or do no damage at all, but I assume their existence is to partially give players something to do in the early game besides A-move at them and ignore it for 20 seconds. There were and still are some complaints that SC2's early game is pretty bland, having spare APM waiting for something to happen. With camps, once you've set up all your buildings and are waiting for more units or workers to come out, you can boost your eco or army by roaming the map hunting creep camps. Then, you can focus on keeping your units at higher health through micro vs just A-moving in.

That capture circle is how creep camps work in Heroes of the Storm, which was made on sc2 engine. I wonder if any of the devs from that game have moved to storm gate.

Like the idea of encoraging players to stay active during the game but as you said it cam cause problems

Late April, they delayed it to get more 3rd faction stuff in there

They have already confirmed cloaked units. Anyways. Creep camps are trash and this change will further the problems with the game.
