The most memorable and most difficult sub boss in MK, imo Motaro is a really cool character up there with the Shokan.

Always hated him cause he was the boss I was stuck on, and when I actually DID beat him, I could never beat Shao Khan (damn move reading AI -.-)

I did it first try but then decided to play through the arcade again and it was a lot more difficult lol

No lie, I'm 29, and literally just like two or three days ago i was walking out my room and i was like what if motaro was just standing at the end of my living room lol. Still have those thoughts as an adult like i did when I was a kid 😂😂

Still love Motaro's design, Diablo vibes! This figure is unbelievable, I still can't believe Storm did it.

1) You're right; he is a Centaur. 2) Yep, one of my faves and one of the more memorable sub bosses in MK history. The memories of getting mad as a kid because I couldn't beat him at first will always stay with me haha! 3) LOL, that's not an egg. That's supposed to be his fireball, which he shoots out of his tail. 4) Excellent review. I'm thinking about adding this guy to my collection. On second thought, I will! 😊😊

Storm collectibles is killin it. I myself passed on this one. Can’t dedicate that much shelf space. But man. This year 2023 we got lui kang with fatality dragon, Kano, and just recently announced , a new shao Kahn variant with throne or without. Man that throne looks amazing. Plus the one with throne comes with s spear and an alt laughing head sculpt

I think objectively it has a cool design... but between Goro and Kintaro, Motaro was always treated as an afterthought.

In DOTA2 there is a Centaur WARRUNNER. Centaur man, they have Viking helm or Horn on head. They also have 4 legs.

Mine has a bunch of scratches and had this is the replacement for the one they sent me had his front leg broke

Motaro is superior nightmare fuel plus much more challenging. Goro and Kintaro are Klassic, yes. But Motaro is the only one who has been underutilized despite his immense potential.

Is Motaro a cool character?... Well sotrywise he's trash. But gamewise, he's pretty cool and memorable. The sub-boss in MK3, he's immuned to projectiles and I actually found him harder than Shao Khan. He's an unforgettable character. My fav sub-boss in the whole series. I used to have the same storm collectible figure of him, but someone offered me a price I couldn't refuse and I sold it. Would love to have this figure again.

What made you sell your Mortal Kombat collection? Was it value based? Cause I know the older storm collectibles are worth alot now. Or did you just stop caring for the series/figures?

I really liked Motaro when I was a kid, he was a pretty imposing, unique boss. Now that I’m an adult he looks pretty cheesy.

I like Motaro’s design and he served his purpose but I was never a big fan of him. He isn’t on Goro’s level of cool to me.

Motaro was such a terrifying design for me as a kid. I used to dread coming up against him in the Tower. I used to think so, at least until you pointed out how feminine his legs look in his high heels. Can't unsee.

Im a huge MK fan and I was never a big fan of Motaro. I thought his deer body looked kind of weak and corny and it didnt make him look threatening at all

High heels on Horse...

Motaro is a cool character when they don't make him a minotaur jobber. He has all the markings of a sub-boss: projectile deflective skin, long range tail sweep, teleportation, command grab, energy ball. Awesome figure! Can't wait for the eventual Kintaro release!

Scratches, gap in the tail (totally looks like a swivel, it isn’t...), and poorly placed thong armor are on my Motaro too. Was pretty irritated by that for the $100 price...

As a huge MK fan, I'm not really crazy about Motaro.

Personally i dont really like him, to me hes a bunch of waisted potential caused by the difficulty of making an animal-like fighter in a mk game
