I agree MK3 has the best overall design for the ninjas. Hoping they keep going with inevitable Noob, Ermac, Rain etc.

Ordered this Reptile from BBTS after I saw your post on the community page a while back and love it. Was my first Storm Collectibles figure. When I'm not sure about getting a figure, I always look for your assessment of the figure. Very honest and objective so it helps me decide if a figure is worth it.👍

MK3 designs are definitely my favorite, Im happy this Reptile has a much better looking face compared to the Sub and Scorp. I know some might frown on these pallette swaps, but I really hope to see them eventually do Rain, Smoke, and Ermac done in this MK3 style.

I've kept myself to collecting only the Street Fighter figures from Storm, but when I saw this one, I had to have it. Glad to see that he turned out so well. Wish I would have gotten some of Storm's earlier MK releases. They're not cheap on the aftermarket.

This is easily one of my favorite ninja garbs out of Mortal Kombat. I like them all in their own way, but when I saw these on back in MK3 I was sold on it. This is the design friends and I would draw time to time and I was a bit bummed MK11 didn’t put these costumes in the game. But they was in MKX, so it’s not like it’s been forever since we’ve seen this outfit. Really happy with this figure, I wasn’t going to miss out on him this time. It would be cool if somewhere down the road they give us lizard skin arms to match the head.

I like the versions with the quilt more, but this is my second favorite version of them. Gonna have to pick it up since i missed out on the first release. Never been a fan of reptile actually looking like a lizard though. Prefer his human looking versions more

I like the MK3 looks the best, I think. It's tough. MK9 and MKX both had really good designs as well, but I just love how simplistic the MK3 looks are. The fact that designs were simplistic makes them memorable. When you have all these over designed looks, there's so much detail going on that nothing stands out and therefor becomes forgettable. It also takes me back to the days of gaming when gaming used the same sprites but changed only the palette. Again, seeing the same sprites over and over again burned them into your memory, and it also amplifies their small differences, like victory poses for example.

I prefer the look of the original “quilted” versions of the ninjas, but I like the bigger bodies that these new ones

most prefer the MK2 look for ninjas, which the more classic figures were actually based on MK11 "classic skins" and not MK1/2 in particular.

Does the figure has a good and durable material ?. I want to buy him but im afraid after seeing the review of old mk ninjas figures that have many issues

Just bought this. Going to re paint it to look like Sub Zero. Sub Zero Unfortunately is too expensive right now to buy at $250+. Picked up Rep for $50, hopefully I can get the look I want. Great Review.

i love the mask of the mk3 ninjas though the suits looked cooler in mk2!

My favorite of mk3 ninjas released is sub zero, although I super glued his mask on so it wouldn't fall off.

For me the best designs were usually in MK4 and MK9. Not a big fan of original designs where they were all same with different colors.

I like Ermac his first suit

Looks like a cool figure that is yielding better than the avg, a "good" review - but then I look at the price point, which most retailers are looking for $85-90 for this figure. Even with these likely being the best MK figures to date, I can't do that for an overall flat painted scheme, no wash details or extra effort with erector set joints in the arms. If these were $35 I think it would be less egregious, but for almost $100 per figure they are out of their minds.

That's what I've always thought. When these first came out you could get any of neca's ultimate lineup with just as many accessories and top paint and sculpt detail for $25-$30. At $25-$35 for each of these I would've bought every single one.

Great review appreciate your objective approach to reviewing, I actually love the way this figure looks and would love to add him to my shelf but I cant justify the price personally... I think $50 or $60 he would definitely be worth it but he is anywhere from $84 to $90...uhg lol just cant

I don't like doing it but I just snipped off the pegs on the tunic so I can rotate him. Had they made it longer and wider, they could have avoided the pegs. I assume the mask is an artifact(or later intent) for a swappable plate, but man mine falls off if I just look at it.

I'm happy with my reptile figure I hope to come out with smoke mk3 ninja next.

I also like rain with his MK3 suit he's my third favorite Ninja

Upper jaw is maxilla, lower is mandible. I think Storm makes the best elbow joint as fas as looking like and elbow when bending. It has the point as like in a real elbow. Man I wish they were able to do more DC besides lobo or even Marvel characters. Would be very interesting to see.

Ya I made the mistake of assuming they were still 1/12 and bought the 1000 toys Master Chief since I didn't think Storm collectibles would ever make one. Needless to say he is far smaller than my Storm figures and some how looks far to short next to MK 3 Scorpion which is funny because Scorpion should be about 6'2" and Master Chief is Supposed to stand at 7 ft tall in armor. Since I'm pretty sure Reptile and scorpion reuse allot of the same parts I can confirm they are definitely not 1/12 scale anymore.

i've been debating on getting Hanma Baki from this line, do you think it will be good?

Mkx ninjas has the best balance of classic and modern imo

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the mask and bottom half especially it seems to be a lighter green and that kinda bothers me as well as them not being able to turn at the waist.

I prefer the mk2 mkx and mk9 designs for the ninjas.

Maybe I'm trippin but the the shade of green is a bit off compared to what I remember him looking like in mk3.

The modern ones, for me.

Really. Mine arrived yesterday. Compared to some of the previous ninja releases, it's much more vibrant looking to me. And the joints are on par if not slightly better imo.
