Now I'm curious on seeing storm collectibles making a Onaga from MK deception, just to see how they can pull it off

Why does everyone think he is too tall? Goro has always been too short to be 8'2" in the Mortal Kombat fighting games.... Look up the Shaolin Monk's Goro fight (which isn't a fighting game btw) and this figure scales up perfectly with the Goro from that game. And btw isn't this a 7'' scale line? Which means Goro would have to be close to 9.5" to be in scale with the Ninjas if they were roughly 6 feet in figure form. Example 6' = 7" figure form... therefore 8'2" = almost 9.5" in figure form which this Goro figure scales perfectly. I'd be willing to bet the Shao Kahn figure is roughly 8 inches in figure form to match his 7 foot frame.... It only makes sense.

it personally dosnt bother me at all but looking at clips from MK goro is only about a head or so taller than scorpion maybe a head and a half. so it just looked a little odd when i put them together. either way its really well done and my favorite storm figure yet.

In other games he's accurately tall. His official height is over 8ft i believe. So this is pretty accurate

@@AnthonysCustoms yeah i think he was a little taller in other games vs the 1st. i posted a pic in a facebook group when i 1st got it and someone replied with "too big". not even bothering to acknowledge thr amazing sculpt and presence of it lol

Motaro next please, Storm. Even if if you gotta make it 180 used or something. You gotta figure it would be around that price considering the depth of that character. We need Motaro. Khan, Goro, Motaro, Kintaro, Sheeva, Onaga(? Maybe) I want my MK beast shelf!

I can't wait for mine to come next month. Great review. I've heard the ankles can get a bit loose so your point about the lighter torso would have been good to reduce the weight. May have to resort to using a flight stand or something for those really dynamic poses.

Damn I cant wait for this figure I was lucky to snag subzero and scorpion for 70 each when they first came out and scorpion now goes for like 200 bucks! Insane lol

You just gotta get lucky Go on EBay often or other online selling spots. If you want Sub Zero and Scorp…you kinda have a good chance If you want the Cyber Ninjas, it’ll be a bit difficult but manageable since I see them a bit often If you want the classic ninjas like Ermac, Reptile, Rain or Noob…and the bosses, uhhhh your gonna have a rough time since I see them on Ebay and other places being a bit too expensive Like…200+ roughly

If you heat the ankles you can get full range with some pressure. They are just really tight.

I cannot decide between Goro or Noob Saibot(non-bloody,) they are both the exact same price right now and both are tied for my favorite MK characters.

Just got this for a pretty penny..all in all very happy with this fig.

great review! I wanted to ask you how could I make the joints of the figures less rigid? I also have some action figures from the storm and many have the same problem in the joints of the hips and legs. Thanks for your suggestions!

You might be able to use some ptfe lubrication but it's doubtful on more complex joints. Unless you're just talking about the ball pegs, you're probably stuck.

Awsome Action Figure review

i grabbed this at nycc and love it. one of my top figures of the year so far. he is a bit out of scale but thats a minor complaint for me.

No he's not the games made him too short this figure is scaled perfectly 8'2" = close to 9.5" in figure form remember this is a 7" figure line meaning 6' = 7" in figure form. That's why the Shao Kahn figure is roughly 8" because he is 7'. Check out Goro boss fight in Shaolin Monk's... That's the best version of Goro being his actual 8'2" height.

@@danielbenjaminmesser6234 I'll have to disagree, this goro is like 10ft tall, the ninjas are supposedly only 6ft tall, but storm collectibles made the scale line 1:12, which is a complete lie! More like 1/8th scale. The movies, all the games, the comics, goro was never 10ft tall, only a couple ft taller. But not complaining, more for us.

why do Shao Kahn and Goro cost 200$????????

Awesome review as always Anthony, can’t wait to get my hands on Goro and Shao Khan figures. They will be my first MK characters by Storm collectible. I am looking forward for the 3 Ninjas, Scorpion, Sub Zero and Reptile. I tried to buy them from ebay and amazon, but they are extremely expensive. All of them above 100 to 150 like that. Unfortunately BBTS they don’t have them in stock right now. I am just wondering is there another websites that can provide these Ninjas in a good/fair prices?

Man I was excited for this review as much as I am for the figure it self! Quick question, should I get the Bloody Version? Anything of note from anyone who's gotten one? Also thanks for reviewing fighting game characters. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have heard of Storm Collectibles. As a fighting game dude and fig collector, they are becoming my favorite brand. So far I have Ermac, Ryu, and Ken.

I could not get it

First thing that stood out was the pec trim. They really didn't have to cut that much...it makes him look weird af. Everything else came out good. As far as being too tall, I would think that's a good thing...especially for a collectible, but this is just my opinion ;)

This figure's scale was nonsense, looks like the new Mortal Kombat X Goro has a different torso/thighs to hopefully bring him down but I'm afraid not nearly enough. Liu Kang and pretty much all other humanoid characters should have the top of their head close to his shoulder. This buck is like well over 2 ft too tall, horrendous

well, based on his first appearance, yes, but... he's officially over 8ft tall and is that size in later games so he's actually really close to accurate.

this is guy is tall...too tall. In the promotional pics he wasn't that bigger than other characters. Also, in the games (MK9) he is 8'2.
