Thanks for checking the review out! They been have teasing images of Liu kang for a while now. I definitely want that version. I also seen a couple teasers of johnny cage. My top guy in Mk 2. @@Themanchlid Yeah Jonny is a must have too! I missed the McFarlane version as well so hopefully Storm gives us a nice MK 1 or 2 version. If only they would release these figures faster! Hope youre right about Shang Tsung. Would you prefer MK1, 2 or 3 version of him?

@@hinglemccringleberry5431 Johnny was my number one guy in Mk2 and mk 9. I have the mcfarlane version. Its ok. Id rather the Mk 2 look. Many tou companies including storm are not moving fast with certain figures because of high manufacturing, distribution costs with covid and inflation problems today.

Hey Man! I really appreciate the view and comments! Glad you got something enjoyable and useful out of this review! I Too grew up with Mortal kombat 1, 2, 3 during my Teenage years. I could buy a cheap brand new car for the Money I spent playing Mk 2 in the Arcade in the day! I always looked forward to going up against Kintaro. All the years I have been Toy collecting and all the figures I have from different lines, I now feel complete getting a cool looking, highly Detailed and highly articulated Kintaro figure in my collection..Yeah you have to pick this guy up or preorder him now if you have that same Nastalgia for those games. Good review! I pre-ordered a extra Kintaro to make a Goro custom, i just have to change the feet ,skin, head repaint and armor.

Thanks for checking it out! Cool to hear you got a of those preorders in. A goro custom is interesting with the newer kintaro looks. I think in mortal kombat 9 they used both character animations for Kintaro and goro. Yeah you can Remove the Kintaro armored pieces, and paint the body to look like goro. And then use the storm collectibles goro Parts!👍

What an Awesome figure! One of my favorite Sub bosses..Yep! I would use Kitana, Scorpion, or Johnny cage and flip backwards then jump kick, jump kick, shadow kick or Kitana fun lift and upper cut in Mk 2. Mk 9 he was more advanced and challenging to fight!

Storm collectibles are definitely the GOATs when it comes to making Mortal Kombat figures. So far, I 've been lucky enough to be able to get all the figure they made so far, and Kintaro is definitely next. Also dying for them to release their Liu Kang, Kitana, Mileena, and Shang Tsung they've shown/teased (Kitana, Mileena, and Shang Tsung are in my top 5 along with Raiden and Sindel (og Sindel, not the retcon nonsense in MK 11)).

Great to hear you have most of the Storm collectibles Mortal kombat figures! They are the best Mortal kombat based figures out there like you say! I have most of them too. Missing a couple variant figures. I look forward to the liu kang. I remember seeing images of Kitana and Mileena two years ago. But I haven't heard nothing else since. Johnny cage was also teased in some images. I'm sure we will see Shang Tsung at some point. I loved Mortal kombat 1, 2, 3 , and 9 the best. MK X was ok..I hated Mk 11. I liked seeing Spawn in it. But I could not stand the newer game play. To complex and distracting. Hopefully you get kintaro soon. One of the best Storm Mk figures yet! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments!👍

@@Themanchlid No problem, and agreed 👍. They did show ian unpainted model of Kitana's fan on their Instagram page a few months ago, so I'm guessing they might be redoing Kitana and Mileena's figures like how they have done to Liu Kang (that's where I also saw the tease for Shang where they should come the dragon statues beside his throne from MK 1 unpainted, so it's likely he'll come with his throne like Kahn did). Also love those games as well (even though I'm terrible at playing MK 1-3, the story is excellent). MK Deception is my favorite game from the franchise out of the franchise so far due to the awesome konquest mode, the intimidating boss of Onaga (I really hope Storm makes him as well), and from making great new characters like Havik, to doing justice to klassics like Sindel. The gameplay in MK 11 was decent in my opinion (do love the krushing blows), and I also loved Spawn (loved all the guest characters they've done so far, and actually have figures of them too, since I also love those characters too), and especially seeing Cary Tagawa back as Shang Tsung was amazing, but the main thing that made me have a strong dislike of it was the writing. From making unwanted retcons that ruins characters (like what happened to poor Sindel), to having characters act out of character (Like how Liu sacrificed his friends for no real reason in Aftermath), to very odd and out of nowhere decisions like pairing Jade and Kotal Kahn together. I really hope the rumors are true of John Tobias's return, and that MK 12 is next so they can fix that mess.

@@ritaparks8213 Well said! The writing and characters are a big one in the Mortal kombat series. I forgot to mention Mk Deception and armagedan. I played many hours on those. I hate when we get core characters in the games and then the next Mk game they get killed off. Why not just leave them and add more characters. It is just game..I get the story to kill certain people off. But it makes the core fans not want the next game because maybe Baraka, kitana, cyrax and many fan favorite characters are missing now. I personally can't stand that in the games. But it is cool there is a company like storm making some really great figures from the Mk franchise that look like the jumped out of those games with cool accessories and pinless joints with incredible articulation!👍

@@T.Maximus The Mk 1 version 👍. They recently showed another unpainted picture of set, and it'll come with the throne and his dragons on the side. The bottom of Shang Tsung's robe appears in the pic.

Greetings again and congrats for having Kintaro in your lineup and for posing him with various Masters of the Universe figures. He's a big fella who's out of my price range at the moment, as expected. I *DIDN'T* expect him to come with other accessories for Storm Collectibles Mortal Kombat 3 Sub-Zero, though. Now I'm getting flashbacks to when I fought him in Mortal Kombat II. Wish that he'll reappear in future MK games.

Greetings to you as well! Thanks for taking interest in my videos once again! I have been waiting for this character in some kind of figure form for a long time. I spent so many hours of my life fighting him in MK2 and playing as him in Playstation 1 Mk trilogy. I didn't expect the Sub-zero parts and fatalities parts. The arms are meant for the mortal kombat 3 unmasked Sub-zero. But work well on all the storm collectibles Sub-zero figures. I tried it on all three. Storm was the best company that could have pulled off a Kintaro figure like this! But unfortunately their stuff is expensive over Mcfarlane toys figures for example. Kintaro also also appeared and was payable in Mk Armageddon for Playstation 2 and also reappeared as a sub boss again in MK 2011 or Mk 9. One of my favorite Sub bosses and characters in the video game world and now toy form. Yeah he goes well with the Masters of the universe classics or Revelation figures or even Spawn stuff! @@tonyc.0451 Yep! That's what I was referring too. They looked cool. Lui kang was also then. They did finnaly release a new teaser image of him with kintaro. He is coming out in late summer now. Kano and Johnny cage images were also just teased. I really want a mk2 Jonny cage. That's the main guy I played along with Baraka, scorpion and kitana.

You could totally fudge him into a super7 Thundercats shelf.

Nice review, I'm confused of the size because on Amazon my preorder says 11 inches but this figure is clearly about 10 inches at most unless he's standing on his toes lol

Thanks for checking the review out! No it's definitely under 10 inches. 9 3/4 inches to be exact from the bottom of the feet to the top of kintaros head. Amazon is notorios for incorrect Toy sizes sometimes. Either way Kintaro is really Tall and come out fantastic!👍

But if you liked the mortal kombat 2 game in the day, kintaro as a sub zero boss and that nastalgia that went along seeing and fighting him in the Arcade then, Not mention a perfect kintaro figure in toy form! Or at least whats out their now! Then this figure is totally worth the cost! Thanks again and good luck getting one in hand soon!

Yes I have all the storm collectibles Sub zero figures and just tried the ice arms on both The Mortal kombat 2 and 3 Masked Sub zero figures. The arms fit perfect for both figures. The shoulder skin tone is a little lighter on the Ice arms compared to the Mk three Masked Sub zero. But still looks good and not that big of a deal. Hope that helps!👍

I spent Hundreds of Hours in the Arcades playing Mortal kombat 2 fighting him as that Sub boss. Still one of the collection things I seen in the day!👍

@@xsnipezxgaming5304 Hey I hear you on that! I have spent money like that before to get stuff early! Originaly I had a preorder with big bad toy store. But they kept delaying it over and over! A seller had a couple on ebay for a preorder and said it was on it's way in. So I paid with paypal and it arrived two weeks later and another week to get to me. Well with it. I would have spent over 200 dollars on this kintaro if I had too!👍

I know the feeling when we discover a figure line or characters we always wanted in toy form, then find out they are out their already but I got on late. So now they are a ton of money on the after market! The curse of the adult toy collector! Lol

I wish he would have had feet like goro like he's supposed to. I don't know why but those big puffy tiger feet look silly to me. Other than that he is great

He seems to mix between the Mortal kombat 2 and 9 games, but I think the main figure design for this kintaro was inspired from certain Mortal comics. So thats probley were the final figure look came from. There are many different concept looks for both kintaro and goro going back to all the different games they appeared in, TV and comics. But I think he is awesome! I personnally didn't want another goro repaint for a 150 dollars! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments!👍

Thanks for checking it out. The face is accurate to the mortal kombat 2 kintaro model they used for the claymation tests. So im use to it. Its a Shokan warrior.

He seems a little too big compared to the Mortal kombat 2 game that I spent my teenage years playing. But aside that.
