I have always thought they could’ve taken the jet scene a little further and had storm leave the plan and bring down the planes while allowing the jet to get away.

Storm, is really OP especially in comics. There was this time (in comics) where Doom turned Storm into this stone like form and her claustrophobia kicked in when it did her subconscious mind took over and she became a being comparable to the Phoenix, by becoming one with the storm and nearly killing doom. 😮 She also created a powerful primeval storm that Psylock, likened to the first storms that sculpted the face of the earth with temperatures near deep space at its center. Not only that, but she also absorbed the power of an entire star system containing millions of stars to cure a fatal disease and to quote, “Within that moment, a new star was born in the firmament”.

It's funny you mentioned that moment with Dr. Doom, because after reading Scarlet Witch #2 (2023), I think Storm has been tapping into her magic unconsciously, and that moment with Doom was one of those instances. But yeah Storm's biggest feats display her ability to command cosmic energies. That's why I think it's time the writers redefined her abilities. She's beyond a weather manipulator, and her energy manipulation is beyond omega level. The only thing is she's made to fight like an average alpha level mutant most of the time.

She has transcended weather manipulation several times, and her weather manipulation is just a bit of what she can do with the ambient energies at her disposal. She said so herself that she is an energy manipulator in X-Men: Red. But what's still a bit frustrating is even in the comics, she's reduced to this lightning lass, as if throwing lightning bolts is the only thing she can do.

For those who doesn't read comics, Storm is not just an Omega Level Mutant, but she is also a sorceress by blood. Her great ancestor was once The Sorcerer Supreme for 4000 years. In a recent Scarlet Witch comics, Wanda encouraged Storm to finally embrace her magic roots after defeating a mystical threat by being connected to her ancestor. She is currently the mutant leader of Mars (Arakko), an Omega Level Mutant and also a Sorceress. She's ridiculously wayyyy too OP. And I love that about her. Hopefully MCU will do her justice. And going by their standards nowadays, I would rather wait until the MCU can figure out its mess.

The first movie really showed how realistic of using wind for flight- her hair and cape moving wildly. In Apocalypse in the scene where she countered Cyclopse optic beams and destroyed Apocalypse’s shield, Storm looked like she was just hanging on wires. I wish she got more flying scenes instead of ascending and descending

I think she was a mutant with the most diverse and versatile power. Not just for attack and defense but for spying, hiding, escaping, also for holding mass in large area, and even more than of this. One of my favourite character for everytime, can't wait for her coming in MCU movie in the future.. 😁🤩

@@missthangd4311 lol in the marvel comics, telekinesis is the ability to use psionic energy to manipulate matter and energy. jean grey can do the majority of things storm can if she wanted to. the only difference is storm will be capable of bigger feats since jean grey's telekinesis is not at the omega level.

Her abilities go beyond elemental and I wish they showcased that more.

Storm has been my fave since I was a child. I hope mcu actually do her character justice!

7:30 is my favorite scene, the thunder, lightning, crackling of the heavens, the lightning, dancing around the soldiers, the music... So bone chilling 🙌🏽I keep replaying that scene

Very rare that they get an actor that is better than the original actor from the OG X-men movies. In this case, she is NOT a better choice and her screen time is insufferable. Storm was my favorite when I was young. Halle killed it.

Eh, disagree. I didn't feel Halle did anything remarkable with the role. At least Alexandra Shipp stayed committed to the accent and her Dark Phoenix look is probably the best look of storm, aesthetic-wise. Couldn't stand any of storm's costumes or wigs in any of the movies.

The plane scene is fucking sick. Wish we could see more scenes like these in the movies. Sadly they kinda forgot that Storm is an omega level mutant in the comic.

halle berry displayed her powers with grace and elegance, on the other hand, it's irritating how Alexandra Shipp is growling every time she uses her powers.

In the comics, Storm served as a temporary host to Eternity. A cosmic entity just like the Phoenix Force. Imagine Storm with Eternity alongside Jean Grey with Phoenix Force with the Scarlet Witch by their side they could rule and be a trinity.

@@MK-cz5lt There are 4 children of the one above all who technically is stan lee or the creator of marvel or the mcu, 4 of his children, Eternity,Destiny,Fate, and Magic/Love are the most powerful beings, followed by the Living Tribunal, and WPOTC. So no Jean would do nothing of the sort, the book of Vishanti was written by one of them that being Magic/Love. Phoenix is a multiversal threat and can channel those beings with out their permission to smite out universes yes, but how ever they can and would stop Phoenix, they could do nothing to obliterate her or remove her from time as she is sortve the personification of Chaos, which is why her power is mainly red, like the infinity stones, It is believed that Phoenix is the one who made the Reality stone, or red one, and thus is capable of doing what you wish, the last one or one who made the Power stone is a child not known or written in the MU. but Eternity,Destiny,Fate, and Love all made 4 stones, Phoenix rumored to have made the 5th. Phoenix would obliterate wanda without a thought as the very magic wanda controls is something it just is. The same is not said for Eternity, but if Eternity chose storm to be its avatar or IT reborn into the universe which is what Jean is, she IS THE PHOENIX, just reborn to expierience its life as this being, Then Jean could do nothing to harm Storm, and Storm could do nothing to harm Jean. Scarlet witch how ever would be the weakest BEYOND A DOUBT of these beings. They do not bow down to Phoenix like u said no but you are right in saying kindve that they cannot beat her, but she cannot hold a candle to them

You can feel the impact of her power at 12:02 and when she launched that massive thunder bolt to blow up the ship

They have never done storm justice in these movies at all. The only person still in my mind that could do her justice is Angela Bassett. The voice and the regal grace. Perfection. I hope the MCU makes her the powerhouse leader she is in the comic lore.

The last stand scene where they deleted the scene where storm creates a tidal wave from the rainclouds is awesome!

In X-men 3 she could have made tidal waves to wipe off the enemies instantly.

Ok, I'm mad because none of these movies or tv shows really display Storms true power. I recently discovered she is an Omega level mutant. In the comics they get into her overlooked powers. She has magical potential, she has a connection with Earth called "Earth Link", telepathic resistance, energy vision, divinity, etc. One of her ancestors was a Sorceress Supreme, I think thats so dope because Storm is my fav xmen and Dr.Strange is my favorite marvel character. Storm is also able to wield mjolnir! Storm is epic 🌩 ⚡ ⛈

Shes always depicted as weak even thou shes an omega level, I hope they make a movie about storm as a omega level, that would have been cool,

In the movie, before she was enhanced by apocalypse, she was only able to manipulate the wind. After enhancement by apocalypse, she can now manipulate electric currents and air moisture, she can now alter the weather within a 60 kilometer radius.

She was born with the white hair because of her ancestors do your research white hair and blue eyes think you already know that Storm's characteristic blue eyes and white hair come from a long line of ancient African priestesses on her mother's side, though her mother herself did not have these traits.
