In an earlier video, the rotation of the femurs (I think) was said to dictate how u should squat. Well, at least as far as stance and whether or not to turn the feet out or keep them parallel. So my question is: if body type determines a narrow stance, should we still do the wide one until greater ankle mobility is reached?

Will placing heels on plates still help if I don’t have mobility issues? Does wearing a lifting belt help? What if I want to work the lower range of motion, should I just stick to pistol squats so I don’t hurt my lower back?

so long as you’re not letting them cave in on the way up you’re good. typically it would be impossible as well as dangerous to squat with your knees parallel to each other. a good cue is to thinking about aligning your knees with the direction your toes are pointed at if they’re pointed outwards. if you’re squatting with your feet parallel then thinking about engaging the side of your glutes will help
