Shawn, I took lessons from you in Richmond Hill many moons ago and you were an incredible teacher. I had my first child and didn’t have time for the game for a few years but your video series have brought back my swing and love for the game! Great job on constantly improving as a teacher and inspiring the community! Best of luck.

Hey Sean You basically taught me to play golf👍🏽. I took it up when I retired 5 years ago, and I could barely hit the ball where I wanted to until I watched throwing the club. It was as if the light bulb went off. As a former tennis addict, your lessons always resonated with me, and this one is no exception. Thanks again!

Tennis is such a great parallel game for golf; amazing sport! And what a marathon match at the Wimbledon final yesterday…just wow speechless…everyone should attack the golf course like those lads attacked their shots on the court!
Great explanation, love it!
Thank you I finaly have the ball going straighter and where i want it to go it just took me some time to know how strong my grip needed to be and how much people freek out about it so now i can work on other things . thanks again

Exactly! TELL THEM OVER 150 OF THE TOP 200 PLAYERS IN THE WORLD HAVE A STRONG TO A SUPER STRONG GRIP! RYAN MOORE, FRED COUPLES,PAUL AZINGER,WEBB SIMPSON,PATRICK CANTLAY, BUBBA WATSON, Sergio Garcia, Zack Johnson, Brant Snedeker, Shane lowery, Gary woodland, Matt Kuchar, Keegan Bradley, Kyle Stanley, Martin Laird, Paul Casey, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Terrell Hatton, Mark Leishman, Bernhard Langer, Joaquin Niemann, Ryan Palmer, Mike Weir, Jason Kokrack, Rory Sabatini, Lanto Griffin, Brendan Todd, Kevin Kisner, Danny Willett , Jason Day, Stewart Cink, hall of fame Judy Rankin, Kevin Streelman (very strong and fader) Thomas Pieters (solid strong) Kevin McCarthy (very strong) Brendan Steel-(super strong and best driver of the ball!) and the list goes on and on!
I have been following you for several years and have heard this before, however, this particular presentation finally hit home for me and today I played 18 holes and only pulled one shot to the left, which is unusual. After standing behind the ball to pick my target line, my focus at address was on the swing path through the intermediate point, and not to look down the fairway from the side. No lost balls, no penalty strokes...that's significant progress.

Shawn at 2:25 you solved my issue! It’s ok to feel “open” by approximately 30 degrees. What a huge help. I thought I needed to be square by that point resulting in a ton of pulled shots. Immediately started hitting bombs! Thanks!!!

Hi Shawn, Love the coaching and tips you provide. Putting- please advice, line up my putts either 2 to 3 cups left or right of the hole and when I stand over the putt, it always looks straight at the hole? Thanks, Hari from England, UK

Interesting ball position for a draw. Do you set up with the ball just behind center even for mid- and long-irons? Great video, by the way!
@golflessons

Yes, all irons! 3 iron and even 1 iron; the most forward for a high draw would be centre or where the back of ball touches centre. It is the way the body is made!
Hey Shawn , love your channel. Can you please do a video about hitting down on the golf ball ? What's the best visual for hitting down on the ball? I've tried to cut grass for a while , unfortunately it doesn't work for me, is there another way for visual ?

Hey Shawn, is the grip pressure in the right and left hands equal? Also, does the power you generate come more from the right or left side? Thanks and you are the best!!!
@golflessons

It is a grip-club relationship; and the power comes from the full kinetic chain from the ground through the club head! See both “kinetic chain” series on our premium channel!

@@golflessonsThanks Shawn, makes sense. My back and grip-club relationship has been compromised with arthritis challenges. Hard to swing pain free these days, but when healthy all of your content over the years has been amazing! BTW, no idea how you kept at it with those broken ribs, hard to breath let alone trying to keep up with Savannah and Munashe!
Any tips for hozzle rockets? When I really try to get the blurr to go right of the intermediate point, I tend to hit hozzle rockets. I have filmed myself and it seems like I am early extending. Could the early extension be stemming from me trying to get the blurr to go right to much. Any tips?

Hi Shawn, just so I have a clear understanding with visual parallax.. should I feel that I am swinging to the right of target or feel that my target is more out to the right??

@AlexHernandez-mr7jf

@@golflessons haha. Sorry for the lack of explanation. I guess what I am asking is should I feel that I am swinging/releasing to the right of target (towards the trees) or should I be aiming what would feel so far left that that I should be seeing my target 30 yards out to the right? Hopefully that made a little more sense 😅
@golflessons
Жыл бұрын
@@AlexHernandez-mr7jf the aim stays parallel left of target but the feel is that you are releasing 30 yards right of target; make sure you see the blur of club! See “pulling shots left shawn clement”
