Unfortunately this approach of building an online community doesn’t work for most new creators these days, it doesn’t work anymore for established creators with large followings either, I see posts from well known creators with huge followings lamenting the fact that only a tiny percentage of their followers are seeing their posts. Of course you are at the mercy of someone else’s algorithm. Instagram, KZread, facebook etc have all skewed THEIR algorithms against artists. This advice may have worked five years ago, but it’s certainly not helpful now. We need new approaches.

I totally get that! I think the biggest approach for me and what I talk about in all my content is offering a lead magnet to your social media audience and get them to your email list. This is the best way to guarantee access directly to your community. I go over this in my workshop - stan.store/shelbykayreeder/p/evergreen-digital-product-sales-funnel-workshop
