Why not make cardboard wings and a rubberband-powered propeller and fly it around the track? I bet you will get faster lap times.

Fully embrace the parachute effect and add some wing gliding, I like it 😂
Love this kind of thing, great work. 👍
Excellent content bro keep up the good work!!!🔥🔥🔥
Interesting experiment . Three years ago I picked up a senton first but put it down and bought a Granite . Still love it .
Very interesting 🤔🤨 lol Very cool seeing the differences with the tape etc 👍🏻
Brilliant video mate 👏👍
My SCt likes to catch air. I always felt the hood section is the air catch. Looks like you found a work around with inner fenders. Good Vid
Interesting for shore 👌
You forgot to say "BOOM!" at 3:17 🤣
Hi Joe GREAT test/video. I definitely agree with you sir. Take care Buddy Hope u have a great week 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤙🏼👍🏼
Aerodynamics 101 !!! Awesome Class dude...although before installing the inner fenders, you should try cut some slats on the body front wheel wells...to relieive (some) air pressure...IN THEORY. And then fine tune from there. The CoD (centre of Gravity) stays unaffected that way... Cheers mate.
that was very informative!
Wow never would have guessed it was up front
I modified the body of my team associated sc pro2 and works awesome, I made vents on front, pillars, and back!
Ran similar test, same rig, found it was more about throttle mgmt right before launch. Inner fenders would definitely be an improvement
It also has a lot to do with throttling off the lip of the jump.( Like he said as well driver input)
Great video
How about yes cut the back vents out great idea I did that over a year ago and it stopped didn’t need to waste tape you’ll have to reapply every time you take it out. Love you exo but your 3 stooges moments are something else. 😂 ps I go through my body’s with hot glue and liquid electrical tape. The support points much like an interior cage that you can rip out if you ever need to this also helps with parachuting immensely.
haha you had me rolling all that tape on the bottom haha like a little kid
I found that if you cut out the front window triangles too and use plaster mesh tape shoe goo it in.allows for air to go through better.
i found jumping my senton really tricky even after stopping the parachuting. i stuck a set of granite wheels on and they have more mass than the stock wheels making it way easier to control in the air.
He doesnt know what throttle control in the air is 😂😂 he just hucks it lmaooo
Cool stuff, Joe! I know I never really liked sending my sct just because it was so unpredictable. Love it on be ground, though.
The senton body posts front and back have 2 hole positions. Definitely drop to the lowest setting. The side of the body sits level with the chassis so will be perfect for 'racing' rather than bashing it.
If you have a look at the Flo-Tek bodies, they also have vents ontop of the front fenders.
Go to scorched RC they make a inner fender kit for this and others like Arrma Mojave also. Best Thing ever made I use it for my Arrma Infraction v2. And it’s keeping my car so much cleaner and aerodynamic too. You love it
I cut the side windows out. Helped out a lot
I wonder if holes right above the suspension would help? Since that seems to be the area catching most of the air
Tires rubbing on the body was putting you nose down with the tape. What i do with my prostar sct(horrible at parachuting bc of lightweight)is i cut the whole rear out of the tailgate and i jump eighth scale triples at big races.
Grab those scorched rc inner fenders!

They’re ordered
Drexel out the slats on the front fenders,it seems to let just enough air thru to kind of even it out.
I wonder if the holes didn't help because they can't effectively get all of the air out fast enough.

Possibly. I got the Scorched inner fenders ordered

@@ExocagedRC scorched offers some really nice stuff
I've seen some folks cut vent holes, remove rear window etc.
Surely dropping the front body posts would help it still seems to nose up even when driving. I think full inner fenders are available for the senton ye?
Put cutouts on top of the wheel arches, like on the Vendetta.
I have some holes on the front fenders right behind the front wheels and the rear window basically cut out no parachuting
Get the wheel arch kit help displace that air out from under the body
I gave up trying to stop it with my slashes, i just but bajr speed buggy bodies on them :P
Personally i'd leave it as is, its not a bad thing to have a bit of parachuting effect to cushion those heavy landings... 🤪😂😂
When the wind/air starts to move under the nose of the body, the body deforms(a little) and picks in even more air, I think. And is giving the extreme parachuting. Closing up the front is the way to go.

thats what he said :D

@@jay82bob if the body would be totally rigid (on the car)it would make the parachuting less extreme and more predictable. Ofcourse most of the solution against parachuting is closing up the front.(Like he said)
I'm trying to prevent my truck from wheeling on a drag race. Front end goes up everytime, that's where I loose lol.

Throttle control
How about cutting slots in the body above the front tires?
The wide big hood is like a parachute
Figure out what size with the tape, then make a skid plate the right size to block the air.
Maybe try cutting out those fake vents on the hood.
XRAY XT4 Off-Road Truggy Body with 1/8 buggy tires fix it all up
Could cut vents in the hood
got to vent the hood not the rear.
What screws did you loctite?
3 jumps most parachuting
I have ordered the Scorched Parts inner fenders / mudguards. Maybe ckeck them out...?! Edit: Should have waited till the end of the video. 😁
Maybe cut out the molded hood louvers.

The inner fenders should do what I need
It's you not the truck
Jconcepts made a body specially designed for sct. Made em parachute less🤷♂️
@old-rcplane-phart

It's 100x worse on 2wd. NO gyro effect from the added front drive. JConcepts had a great idea, BUT all sct parachute 🤷♂️. & if racing (professionally) most mains are 10 to 12 minutes. GOTTA be able to do battery swaps as fast as possible. The 4wd sct's don't seem to 'chute AS much.
Im having a problem with bottom out
@ExocagedRC
Жыл бұрын
its going to do that, just gotta slow it down
Looks to me the driver is making either way . U want the back to touch first but not slam the front . Watch real drivers operate full size trucks with this suspension b set up .
Hi mate hahaha I've got a Traxxas slash and it is the worst it's like a parachute hahaha. I've ordered a HQ 727 pvc shell and hopefully it should slow a lot of the parachuting I'm having fingers crossed 🤣😁. Funny how you are doing this video when I'm having this problem.👂👍🦘🤣🤣🤣. I'm interested to see how your going to make iner guards?? 👍
i trimed any thing that looked like it might be a vent or air intake with a dremil tool and i can punch it and go full speed on my 3s with out balooning on the ground i can still power whelli but no air blaooning with all the slots cut out look at the proline precut body and it has the best air flow for the senton
