We saw it four times and every showing had full-blown mass dancing.

How dope. Took my dad to see the film. Was great to get to see it on the big screen for the first time. Still very jealous that he got to see it when it first came out in theaters. Either way…

I saw the movie when it first came out, but even better, I saw the Talking Heads live twice during the Stop Making Sense tour ( when the movie was filmed). Plus 2 other tours before that.

Big dance-offs happened at plenty showtimes in Los Angeles too. Totally unexpected for me. It was amazing!

I was blessed to have gone see the concert in the '70s without knowing what I was getting into. I was an invited guest. And oh my goodness!! What a thrill it was to see it and now realize I wasn't the only one that thought it was absolutely great.

The Stop Making Sense tour was 1984. Do you mean you saw the Talking Heads in the 70's?

My brother (10 yrs old at the time) came to visit me my freshman year in college for Sibling Weekend and Stop Making Sense was playing at the Co-Ed Theatre in campus town. He decided that night he wanted to be in a band. Roughly 3.5 years later while home on break I took his first band to see Iron Maiden at the New Haven Coliseum. After a full night of headbanging, he decided he wanted to be in a metal band. In 2001 I got to see his band celebrate their signing to Capitol Records (with help from Sharon Osbourne) at the Viper Room… followed by several summers on Ozzfest.. during which time in several interviews he pointed to the significance of the Talking Heads film and Maiden gig on his life path. Moral to this story: SEE THIS FILM IN A THEATER! Get up and dance! Chase down your dreams! Yes, this IS your beautiful house. That IS your beautiful wife. Live your best life!

I picked this theater because I knew it would be the best crowd. The only IMAX near me showing it was out in the suburbs and I knew that would be a hard place to dance- IMAX theatres are usually steeply raked so the aisles are stairways and you can't dance in that. The Castro isn't a huge high tech screen, it's an old art deco movie theater- but it was a party!

I remember like a month ago me and my father drove all the way to Winnipeg (Which is like 3 hours from where I live) Because that was the only theatre near me that had it playing, to say the least when I was watching it I for some reason shed a tear because I was just so happy to see it. I loved every song, I am glad that we didn't go to the screening that happened when we arrived to Winnipeg as we could have missed a song or two.

When I saw it in England, there were three people (me included) in the audience. The other two looked bored. Insane.

I saw it yesterday in Kino in Vienna- so great - fenomenal! I listen their musik with my older cusins as I was a kid, in Ex Yugoslavien. Later as a student... for a first time I experienced the band live on the big screen and I really love it! Such an energy and joy, very autentical. Without glamour - and almost nacked female singees...no fake erotik, and still - such a good groove and atmosphere! THANKS

WOw, what wouldn't I do to dance along to Crosseyed and Painless (and the whole concert) in a theater! Shame they're not probably showing this newly remastered movie in my country.

Amazing! First time I saw it I didn't even know the band, but it was a musical revelation to me! No... it's an exorcism! But there were not many people in the hall, so no freaked out dancing for poor old me, only in my seat. Germans seem to be less outgoing, I guess. Still went to see the movie three more times!

I loved this film but I had to leave a comment to this video. As I’m watching this, I feel like I’m watching a clip from an old episode of “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” except with more robots.

I guarantee you half the people in this video are too. Nobody cares about you more than you do, man. You gotta let go. You’re restricting yourself from greatness. Trust me. I’ve been in your shoes. Your comment sounds like a cry for help
