I started crying in the video. I was bullied because of my body too, but I want to tell about a boy who was in my class when I was 7 years old. He got fat shamed so many years, so often... And the woman in this video looked exactly like him when he got fat shamed again... By the way, that was also my look all the time when I was like 12 and younger too. I loved the woman's energy and mood at the beginning. But with every sentence of Karen her eyes got darker and she always looked down more. It hurt so much to see it because I did/do that all the time and also saw other people doing that constantly...

What really hit me was how nice a girl Patty is, so happy, polite, and nice to people. Then, with just a few words, Karen takes that happiness away from her. How we speak to people really does have an effect whether we can see it as we did here or not. In the end Patty demonstrates what a nice and forgiving person she really is. In middle school I started stressing out a lot and had major binge eating episodes. The first thing I told myself in the morning was that I was a fat whale. Funny thing is I was at a healthy weight when all this started but with time I gained so much weight and became obese. I would starve myself and there were days when I'd pass out from not having eaten for days and from over exercising. A few years later I grew up and matured as a person. Deleted all my social media and worked on myself, not so much physically but mentally. I focused on my mental health. I started saying nice things to myself in the mornings and I left all the toxicity behind. I found hobbies that made me happier and FINALLY, for the first time in my life, stopped worrying about weight. I just didn't care anymore. I started loving my body the way it was and what do you know? All the weight just dropped. In only a few months. Without any kind of diet or crazy exercise. All I needed to do was love myself. Accept myself and tell myself I was beautiful and worthy instead of saying I was ugly and fat. I'm now back at a healthy weight and couldn't be happier. Not because I'm at a normal weight. I stopped caring about that a long time ago. I'm finally happy because I got rid of my bully-self and all my inside demons. I was my worst enemy and I'm now my best friend.

This comment was nice to read. I was clickbaited into watching this weird-cringe video but finding your comment is the true discovery. I appreciate you sharing your introspection publicly. It actually gives me a lot of hope things will work out naturally. I’m pretty skinny and underweight, I try really hard to stay consistent with eating timely and snacking regularly to increase my calories. I’ve had very little success thus far. Tomorrow morning I’m going to smile at the mirror when I brush my teeth instead of the usual blank soundless stare. If it works out, I just wanted you to know that you were the catalyst for my happy change (I’m not revisiting this comment section or this channel lol). Cheers buddy 🤙🤘

He should do a video on name shaming. I know what the name was changed to stand for instead of what the book of baby names says. The point is to call out bad behaviour. But what ppl don't realize is that name shaming is hurtful too. Name shaming is bad behaviour. To the ppl not named Karen, try inserting your own name into all the name shaming videos out there. If it were you. I know you'll say it wouldn't bother you, but it would. Glad I don't live in the States. I'd be afraid to walk out my door. I'm already ashamed because I'm chubby. Add getting older, and now ... it's white and named Karen. I hear some of the stories of how older ppl named Karen are treated. Refused service, medication etc. Just nastiness. Because of their name. So stupid. And the name shamers think they are so clever to be so nasty to others. Bad treatment is bad treatment. Fat shaming. Name shaming. Short shaming. Tall shaming. Living on the street shaming. Clothes shaming. On and on ... Wake up world! Nothing will change until WE do.

Honestly thank you for these video's, I'm a person that's always been on the big side and many parts of my childhood caused me to eat and eat until I gained a lot of weight because of my feelings, boredom, stress, etc. I'm in highschool now and I'm still overweight, It's honestly surprising how people think if they tear you down that you'll get motivation to better yourself when In reality It causes more harm then good. I'm not happy about my weight but when I get the motivation to lose It, I want to lose it because of me, not other's that tear me down to be harmful. People also seem to think I can't notice the stares, the judgey looks or how they refuse to sit with me on the bus or In class Just because of my size. I wish people would realize that words/small actions can hurt badly and It's not easy to ignore them.

I think logical thinking will lead to change. I don’t like fear, I like what I call rational fear. Rational fear is like when you hold a knife, you aren’t afraid of the blade. You know you can hold the blade, press your finger on the blade and still be safe (of course you hold it by the handle in basically every situation, that’s just common sense), but you won’t slide your finger on the blade because that’s STUPID AS HECK. Fear on its own is “the blade can cut me, I might as well just not hold the knife. Shame is just overall bad. To shame people is straight up cruel. To be in a state of shame is dangerous. Guilt is good, you need it to have a conscience, but don’t hold onto it, that becomes shame. Now, you put fear and shame together, you get suicide, which is undisputedly bad and everyone can acknowledge that.

@@mckelvinatorrfan6955 But why? To be honest, skinny shaming needs attention too. People are being shamed all the time about their bodies for different things. Because the beauty industry is made like "you have to be skinny, but not too skinny, but not very big, but big in different areas, but in the right areas, but big in the right way etc.", it makes it where if you're not a Barbie/Ken Doll, you're ugly. I had a friend, that had no one else as a friend but me, because I was the only one who accepted him as a person and not judge him because he's skinny. He had a miseriable time at school everyday, but had to hold his emotions in so that he wouldn't be bullied more for crying. If something such as that is happening to a lot of people, then we should not "stfu" about it. We should bring more attention about it. My mom always told me "silence is acceptence". So everytime you say "stfu" about a serious issue, you are accepting that pain and suffering to happen to someone. So the next time there is a sucicide caused by the victim being skinny shamed, I'll at least know someone who had contributed to it in some way. You.

I think we all get the chance to be good people but when we share the same pain or experiences we understand the importance of that deed to a deeper understanding. ex: a guy is lonely and no one talks to him, years later he’s made friends and feels better, then he sees a lonely person, he wants to help bc he knows (to a certain extent) the pain that lonely man is going through and if he doesn’t talk to him or help he’s shouldered with guilt bc instead of him being rejected all those years alone, that man is now rejecting and so he has the desire to help bc no one likes the burden of guilt. in conclusion: we all get chances to be good people or do the right thing, however without sharing the same pain and or experiences you can’t truly understand someone
