I'd like to share this LIFESAVING TIP because Cinnabun's mom has posted many videos about GI stasis. When our bunny was about 2 years old, he developed GI stasis. The emergency vet told us to feed him a bit of fresh pineapple every day -- NOT canned or dried, but fresh. Fresh pineapple contains bromelain, an enzyme which helps break down the fur that bunnies ingest while grooming. Our beloved bunny never suffered from GI stasis again, and passed away two summers ago at the age of 13. ❤️

♥♥ All of your videos have enabled me to provide my CocoPuff with her best life! Nothing better than sitting on the floor of CocoPuffs bunny room and having her climb all over me…put her cute little bunny paws on my chest to sniff my face..she is a delight and you have no idea how helpful your videos have been. I rescued Puff last year while feeding one of the cat colonies I care for….almost immediately a chocolate brown bunny came hopping over to as I started walking toward the feeding area for the cats… I kneeled down…she put her feet on my knees and I picked her up. I could still smell the cheap perfume on her fur from the witch 🧙‍♀ who dumped her in the woods next to the Dunkin Donuts where the colony lives. My intention was to Re home her through the Bunny Rescue but they weren’t accepting intakes…so here we are…CocoPuff is my sweet Chocolate Polish Bunny with her own room that is very posh and rabbit proofed. In fact, I’m sewing her a new teepee from pretty bunny print fabric with velvet ribbon to trim the edges. Thank you for sharing Cinnabon with us! ♥♥♥🐰🐰🐰

Good to know I'm treating Ernie right. :) (Though I don't buy hay, I get it from my parents who dry it on a tiny meadow so I don't really know what nutrients exactly she's getting, but we've been having rabbits for years and there were never any issues with that.) We bonded about three weeks after I took her home.

He's been with us for a little over a year now! After about 6 months he was ready to be a free roming bunny! Have a great Sunday, Cinnabun! Bunnies 🐰 RULE!

This is really good! I made some of those mistakes, too. I bought my rabbit completely unplanned when I went to the pet shop for a different reason, met her, and she seemed to want me take her home lol so I did. At first I kept her in a cage, then got her a litter tray. Now she has the whole living room, and gets to run around the house sometimes. She has a big caterpillar plushie and a bunny she likes to cuddle. She doesn't like some of the same things Cinnabun doesn't, though. Those wood chews don't appeal to her, but she likes sticks off my tree outside. I looked it up to make sure it wasn't a toxic one for rabbits. ❤🐰🍂

I have a Netherland dwarf rabbit in a squirrel colour he is my literal best friend he has the whole living room to himself with a ton of places to hide and loads of chew toys i even made him a box house out of cardboard which is his favourite place to sit (or on top of the couch looking out of the window) i love spending time with him and as he is getting older (he is now 6) i have been looking into getting a friend for him but still not sure as he has been used to only human company his whole life i also get my hay of our friends at our local farm. luv ur content and your fluffy bundle of joy (Cinnabun) she is soo cute and incredibly lucky to have such a caring owner to look after her keep up the amazing content ❤❤❤

I recently got a baby bunny, who is about 6 weeks of age, named Gingersnap. This is not the first time I've had a bunny, I have another bunny as well, Bandit, who is a little older than 1 year. Unfortunately, I cannot have any of my bunnies as free range, because my dog does not like other animals. If I didn't have my dog, or if my dog were better with other animals, I would not hesitate to let my bunnies be free range. But, I am trying to let them roam around for periods of the day, although Bandit is hard to pick up, since he is skittish. There are many things I didn't know about how to care for my bunnies, until I stumbled upon this channel. It is really helpful, and informative. I learned a lot from this channel, and I am continuing to do research so I can be a better bun mom for my bunnies. This episode was helpful and gave me information that will definitely help.

With buying stuff they don't play with: my bun decides after about 2 months of a toy laying on the floor if he will play with it or not. I kid you not. He has few toys that he loved from the start, but most have to lay there for months. And he has to see them and occasionally sniff them. With his plushies, he has them on 2nd floor of his cage next to a blanket (and don't worry, it's just his home base, he's not closed there) and they have to be there, because he will throw a tantrum if they are not there, but he won't play with them. Little undecided weirdo. But his favourite toys are those puzzle trays with lids, he also likes stacking cups. He's not much into chewing toys. But I have him for almost 5 years and spend so much money, fortunately my brother's friend had a bunny so I gave them all the things my bun didn't care about. Now I buy him toys only if he destroys previous one.

My Cheese was free roaming after a week as I opened up his playpen, which now serves as his home base. The funny thing is that even with eveything open, he wouldn't leave the area closer to the playpen for the first couple of months. Nowadays he just goes to the kitchen, while I work in the living room and flops below the kitchen table where he has a box full of empty toilet paper rolls to throw around.

I got a lionhead bunny from a pet store at the beginning of October. It's been about 3 weeks now and she is actually really affectionate towards me after like 3 days. A friend of mine who has had rabbits for years told me I should be trying to pick her up once a day so she gets used to it and isn't fussy when I go to take her to the vet. I've been doing that and it's going well with her. Every rabbit is different and once I read some stuff about LIONHEADS SPECIFICALLY I learned that the breed itself is more affectionate. Always keep in mind every bunny is different and to always look into the BREED of your rabbit!

So I just have gotten a rabbit a week ago and I am trying to get her to become more familier with me. When she is in a cage she is fine to be petted and looked after but out side she is still very nervous around us and I am wondering should I keep ignoring her compleatly and let her keep sniffing at me and running away or is there kind of a right time to pet her out of her cage. As well I am just wondering if there is anything that I need to do that can make the bonding process more smoothly because of the fact I have to lift her out of her cage and I think that is not helping. Does calling their names out side help or should I continue to just have treats in hand and let her come to me? Also I am tryin this thing of when ever she is going behind the recliner couch I am putting her back into her cage as kind of a punishment is that a good way of training her? • @southsidesweep

@@Undercover_fairy896 gotcha. She may not know how. Being in a hutch etc. Be patient. She may never play the way you expect. Loving her and petting her she may show you things she may like. Both of my current buns are adopted from a shelter so I don't have any idea what their history. Anyway one time I was petting the one and she was done with me so she got up kinda cleaned herself and began to toss a paper roll around. So now we play with it together. The other bun prefers to play chase the bunny. She will come up to me and nudge me then I will get up and she will flip her tail. I will take a step toward her and she will hop just out of my reach and I will take another step and she flips her tail and hops away again and so on until she is tired of play and goes to her hide box. If she wants a treat she will nudge me and go over to the area where I keep their treats now. And the other will give me kisses if she wants something. Also repetition is important as well. That's been my experience so far.

@@Undercover_fairy896 If shes not interessted in them its not much you can do, just leave them and see if she will figure it out! Mine didnt chew some toys until after a week, if they dont *need* to chew they also wont! If she starts being naughty and chewing on things you can try to use that to figure out what she LIKES to chew, then adjust the toys after that. I got mine a bunch of cardboard toys in the beginning and he hasnt even looked at them since hes not a cardboard chewer. Give it time and see what she likes :)

My dog hates the car. My daughter is looking for a pet and is a rabbit, but it's okay with many kids cause..... I have six -_-

There's an even better solution: don't buy a fucking rabbit.

I got two buns about 2 weeks ago! Charlotte and Tiana (Lottie and Tia for short) and i mistakenly fed them orchid hay because i was told that its a great alternative to timothy hay (which im allergic to). Im switching to alfalfa and im happy to announce that im not allergic to that either! :]🤌🏾
