Two common Tricep pushdown mistakes that are killing your triceps gains.
The 1st mistake is standing completely straight, which limits the range of motion. Instead, bend over slightly to increase the range of motion.
The 2nd mistake is moving the upper arm shifting tension away from the triceps and to the lats. Instead, you want to keep your upper arm fixed

2nd is not a mistake. It increases the stretch on the long head and exercise can become even more effective. Even CBum advised this trick

Yeah I don’t take tips from videos I just feel it as I do it and it really hits my triceps hard doing it like that and I get a little work in my lays but not much.

I tried it today it was good and i did reach faliure in the triceps but i felt my lats a little in the stretching part but it was okay anyway i felt the tricep way more

Cbum told me i can move my arm, tricep to elbow, but i stop my forearm and wrists and 90* and then raise my arms keeping my forearms locked. Really does hit the long head

Yes. I started doing the "wrong" method and get a better connection with the long head all day. I wish fitness influencers would stop saying your doing nit wrong donit my way to be correct. Instead it should be..."try this and see if it works better for you"

If he were on roofs, he’d be just as shredded but Much bigger as the increased testosterone would cause not only the fat burning effect but also muscle growth via his ability to lift more. But again, it is almost impossible to tell unless there’s a little HGH thrown in for good measure giving them that Donkey Kong look, whether it’s natty or roids. At the end of the day does anyone really care? This guy knows the truth of what he does….he’s accomplished a physique many dream of at a young age and he’s not making me any money so I don’t really care. Just answering your question….as a former airborne ranger I’ve trained very intensely with some of the most capable human beings I’ve ever met and saw guys juicing and guys that didn’t. I don’t really care but I will correct your assumption…..he looks natural to me and don’t really care if he is or isn’t.
That's why a lot of the time I don't listen when a guy is telling me what to do! Yesterday at the gym aome guy came(no reason) tp tell me to stay standing straight up! Like I love how everyone think the way they od it is the way everyone should be doing it lol

Bro whenever I do triceps dips my triceps are like stucked like motion is very reduced after 5 mins my triceps are fine
2nd one makes no sense. Takes half the rom and stretch out of the triceps

When you walk around a gym thinking you're an expert because you've seen a few "dont do this" videos, be sure you know what yhe person is targeting before "correcting" them. Just like this video show...most tricep exercises become intentional lat exercise with a slight change in form.

It’s almost the same range of motion. Get that squeeze! You’re creating unnecessary range of motion that’s affecting your form ( moving your elbows) which is making up for your body positioning.. but what do I know, this is your channel
Lat movement is key. Extra stretch & heavier weight while allowing all around better squeeze. It just feels better & takes away discomfort in the elbows when u try to be super strict

I like moving my arms up, I use 145 on the stack so I feel like it not only targets the triceps but also hits the shoulders and Lats by pulling down with the V grip

@@kingdribs9286 because all you need to do is fully lock out at the elbow to get the full contraction which you can easily achieve standing straight up, your elbows don’t lockout more because you’re leaning forward, you could argue that it allows more time under tension by going farther down in theory but as long as you’re doing slow and controlled reps it’s not necessary to lean forward

Increased range of motion on this exercise in people over 45 especially equals elbow injury....keep your elbows tight and fixed against your sides above your hips...flaring your elbows to the sides stresses your elbows.

thats quite the opposite, having tucked elbows will cause elbow pain and you dont want to fight your elbows when they want to flare out naturally

But the BS is when he said that this is a Triceps PushDown. This is not a "Tricep PushDown" and this is not how to do the Triceps Push Down. I don't know why people like this guy makes up lies for views and misleads other people.
