Tell me about it! I totally agree. Anja should be teaching, she kills it with these videos alone! Imagine the fluency one could obtain after just a year of one - on - one?

These are the questions (fragen!) that I'm always hesitant to ask in Berlitz class that you always have an answer for! The other one that drove me crazy was zahlen and bezahlen. Vielen dank fur Ihre hilfe! I also love your conversation segments with subtitles. I can read Deutsch well but have a hard time hearing it, for some reason. The subtitles help greatly!

That’s incorrect. They both mean “gladly” or “with pleasure”. Sometimes “readily” or “willingly”. As Anja says, there is almost no difference between them except that one can only say “gerne geschehen”

For real?? I was always confused if I'm using it correctly, turns out it doesn't matter , wow!! What about the usage of "allein" and "alleine"?

I can think of one more instance where "gern" and not "gerne" sounds better. In the Lebanese film "Ya Noosak" Rudi (Siegfried Terpoorten) tells Mona (Zeina Daccache) "Ich hab Dich gern" in a Swiss accent, and she says "don't tell a girl that, it sounds too harsh, you'll scare her". Say "bhebbik". (Bhebbik is the Arabic word for the same thing). The film is in Arabic and English. This is the only German phrase in it.
