Thank you for speaking so much German when teaching us. I've only been really studying for a month or so, but I can understand 95% of what you say in German and pick up the rest from context. So much more helpful to have explanations in German so we can learn while you explain.

tz steht für zz und hat im Grunde nur Auswirkung auf den vorangehenden Vokal. Das Letzte, hier wird das /e/ ähnlich wie /ä/ gesprochen, da tz folgt. Einfaches /z/ findet man hauptsächlich im Anlaut und nach Konsonanten, wie /n/ oder im Auslaut.

I'm a B2 level speaker and I still love Anja's videos, especially for the genitive case! Try to use as much German as you can: listen to German language music, read some books (even if you're translating a ton of words), text your classmates auf Deutsch, keep up on your grammar, and believe in yourself, and you'll be comfortable in no time.

I use the different pronunciations for different words, even if either one is correct. Probably from having 2 different German teachers in high school, who each used different pronunciations; sometimes one just sounds better with a word than the other too. It was nice to finally get some clarification on certain ones though. Another amazing video ❤️
