STOP Being a Short Hitter Long Drives are EASY (simple golf tips)

Спорт

If you haven't noticed these two things about the Top pros swings then you could be losing out on accuracy and distance. This crucial in the golf swing and holds the key to playing better golf, your wrists if used correctly, can create any shots, add distance, control and height but you must use them correctly.
In this video I discuss the only two movements that your wrists have and how you should be using these two movements to provide you with the release that you through the swing to control the ball flight.
If greats of the game like Scottie Sheffler say they hit most of their shots through their wrists, we should probably listen and and follow the same patterns as they do, you will be surprised how much control you get by using them correctly.

How does this carry over to other clubs like woods and irons or is it just for driver?

I think this was one of your best videos on releasing the club Alex. I have been working on this very same movement and when I get it right, it is awesome. I'm going to have to keep the thought in mind "tee peg over my head" on the backswing and "pointing away" from me on the downswing! Well Done Alex!

I found when I acknowledged that I have a right hand (I am a right handed golfer) that I got a lot better at the release and controlling the club face. This after years and years of being coached that it is a left handed dominant game (for a right handed golfer). So yes,the left hand position is the guidepost but I had to learn that my right had really has a lot to do with especially closing the club face the amount I want on the downswing. Another great video, Alex. Thanks.

What a superb video I use to release the club like that years ago and got down to 6. Then the modern day teaching came in where it was more core orientated and you had to use the body and the arms followed. I then totally lost my swing. Now thanks to your lessons and this video I am aiming to get back to where I was and possibility even lower. Thanks Alex.

This is great 👍🏻 Today, I focused on releasing the club (pointing the toe UP after impact, at 9 o’clock) and hit some of the best shots I’ve hit this year. ☝🏻SLINGING it I think so many people focus on the backswing, downswing and impact, but in an effort to get that forward shaft lean that EVERYONE talks about (ball first, ground second), we often forget about releasing the club, holding it off, and hitting short, high, right, weak shots. Great stuff, as always, Alex 👍🏻 Keep up the good work

I commented a couple of weeks ago about club depth. I have watched all videos and hope I haven’t missed one. I have seen some people recommending to high hands high for power but others say have more depth. Thanks. 👍🏼

Love your videos and they really do help a lot! I watched a video with Eric Cogorno about the same topic. Turning the wrist through impact and an exercise to work it. It gave me sooo much more distance. I was crushing it! What happens when it becomes too much and you start to pull the ball? How do you get it back? I've been struggling on finding it again because I miss the long draw balls. I am for sure going to check my wrist angles today with you tip with the tee. Keep up the amazing teaching you are doing, Thank you!

Alex you make the driver swing look incredibly easy! At what point do you rotate the wrists halfway down? I know the arms swing down as you start the transition. Thx great driver lessons! Keep them coming!😍👏👏👏

For most, distance is not king. Accuracy, reducing the cone of variation, keeping dispersion improving. And most importantly course management. Many ways you can get to the green in regulation. Does not have to be driver for distance and power. Focus primarily on consistency. Knowing your club distance. Proper club selection for each shot.

Help! I have the chipping yips! I am OK down to a half pitch shot, but if I have to hit a short chip and run I am more likely to miss the ball altogether, top it or chunk it than play a good shot! I usually putt from off the green if I can, but this is not always an option! ☹️

You never roll your forearms in golf it just looks like you do on camera never listen to this advice it’s nonsense..get in your golf posture with just your right arm hanging down with your palm facing the target keep your right arm connected to your body now just turn your body to the target where is your palm facing now it’s not the target and there was no rolling of the forearms was there…get in same posture this time hing your wrist ( not cock ) so your palm is looking at the floor turn to the right so your hand is outside your right foot now in slow motion turn to the target you now have forward lean shaft and then you just un hing and follow through to target there is no rolling of the forearms ever…look Jon Rahm in slow motion…if you was to slap someone in the face would you roll your forearms you wouldn’t because your thumb would hit 1st ouch you would hing your wrist and at impact un hing for full power..learn to control your hands next time you go to the range face the target and tell yourself to hit the ball 10 yards left of target and then do 10 yards right of target then next at target you will learn to control your hands this way
