Give her time. She will end up seeking out this music when she's older because it will remind her of the time she spent with you. That's what ended up happening to my parents music. I thought it was dumb when I was a kid but when I heard it when I was older, I appreciated it more because it was my connection to the past. She just doesn't understand now at this age but she will.

She might dig something softer and more poppy like the 90s/00s pop punk stuff....Green Day, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Blink 182, Sum 41, Simple Plan....maybe give those a try? And if she starts digging some of those maybe you could slowly progress into more rocky and metal stuff.

I would definitely recommend some Avenged Sevenfold. They're a great introduction to metal. That's actually how I got into it myself after hearing some of their songs in Guitar Hero, I went to check out more of their stuff. Some of their songs have a more "pop-like" chorus like Afterlife, or some of their slower stuff like Seize the Day or So Far Away might be good to check out
