The fact he still would expect to take a receipt at this point in his career says a lot

With so many big, retired stars doing honest interviews and talking about their experiences, there's just a vibe the old schoolers have. I hope it continues. Rock, Austin, Taker- the way they discuss their careers and opponents is just so, almost wholesome. Their love for the industry and their opponents!

The fact that they let Owens give Stone Cold a suplex on the floor shows how much trust they had in him. There was a chance, especially with Austin's medical history, that a floor bump could have gone really badly, but it went as smooth as could be.

KO is that fucking dude. This was so cool of him to do this for Austin and at the same time I bet he feels like it was a privelege. This had me feeling like a kid again.
I'm sure ko enjoyed every second of that ass whoopin.
I sincerely think K.O. is one of the absolute best workers in the business. He sells extremely realistically and protects his opponents. He was the perfect guy for Stone Cold to have a match with bc he could sell it like a real fight, protect Steve's image and body, all while not looking like a chump getting a beat down by an older guy then show up next show and still be a threat to whoever is next.
KO will be a legend by the time he retires He’s def one of the best currently, but we’ll look back on his career in 20 years or more & be like ‘yeah that was the dude’
Like how he stated "working punch" lol
I was there. Shi was awesome. Crowd went crazy
Best gift to the fans in the last 15 years.
He laughed because he was living out his childhood dream. Hell everyone's childhood dream. You could've broke every bone in his body and he'd still be grateful he got to do that match.
This part of the interview always is fascinating. For Stone Cold to be surprised that Kevin didn’t give him a receipt is beautiful. You’re freaking Stone Cold Steve Austin lol. But definitely respect it.

This was the most unexpectedly awesome match for me. I thought it would be cool just to see Austin in the ring, but they gave us a whole assed match.
That was a great match 😊
It looks like a game when Austin comes out....his entrance
Our hero is getting old😢
It’s so heartwarming to think Austin was waiting for a receipt, while KO thinking he was the luckiest person in the world to be on the other end of those punches.

Thats FULL CIRCLE he started in Dallas Tx he finished in Dallas Tx I❤ being from Texas and Im glad Stone Cold is our Texas hero cheers🍻
"Man I can't believe you didn't throw a receipt" KO legitimately like "Man I can't believe I just had a WrestleMania match with ''Stone Cold'' Steve Austin"

I miss the flashes of the cameras in the crowd when people would walk out
If Austin punched me for real, I’d ask him for another😂
knowing how those guys worked back in Austin’s day, i’m sure KO would’ve taken just about anything
"Didn't throw a receipt" > That one suplex outside the ring tho
Just like in the 90s you always knew if Austin came to the ring to work based on his leg gear.
Owens was always a stone cold fan, and stone cold was always interested in Owens and thought he had potential. In a podcast, stone cold mentioned meeting a young KO, asking him for advice.

Austin didn’t have that pep in his step when walking out😢 he actually looked nervous
It’s kind of funny seeing the crowd with phones when older clips of Steve coming out are people waving their arms and posters around
A fight with stone cold after 19 years is bigger then whatever champioship oh hell yeah 🍻🍺
You can absolutely refuse to work with someone if you don’t feel they work safely enough or if they’re not a right fit for your character to go against why not. I still stand behind Steve walking out in 02 cause they wanted him to lose to lesnar in a KOTR qualifying match with no build up the booking has to make sense.
I love wrestling returnw where it looks like their theme song summoned a confused wrestler who just walks out and starts punching whoever is closest to the ring
