Today we will be travelling onboard Japan Airlines (JAL), voted as having the world's best economy class for the third year running. With many airlines around the world cutting costs and inflate prices, does Japan Airlines still live up to that title? How does it compare to its competition, British Airways and ANA, flying the London-Tokyo route?

Nice review! While with other airlines, economy passengers are packed in there, with JAL the feeling is more spacious and relaxed, often with great food. I like to call it "Dignified Economy"--an increasingly difficult thing to find! Cheers, Guy

Thank you! JAL is noticeably more spacious than other airlines - I fly with them so much that I become disappointed at the "standard" amount of space you get per seat on other airlines! The quality of the food is definitely a draw to JAL over other airlines.

Ooh that sounds exciting! You’ll be on their 777 then. The seat does certainly look very stylish. There are a lot of similarities with economy class though.
Can't wait till my 13 and a half hour flight to Tokyo next week on economy class btw my departure time is the same as yours

I think they’re overall is the best, not specifically for one aspect, I heard Qatar has the best business class.

Singapore Airlines has been voted the “World’s Best Airline” in the most recent awards in 2023. Japan Airlines retains the award for the “World’s Best Economy Class” in 2023. Nevertheless, Singapore Airlines’s economy class must still be excellent, as they were ranked the 3rd best economy class in the world in 2023.
