She was awesome! I loved flying beside her. Japan Airlines is fantastic, and I highly recommend flying with them if you haven't before and can get a chance.

She was a sweetheart of a woman. She gave me such a warm welcome to her home country. I'm very thankful to have been seated beside her. 😊

i love making friends in the air!! as a nervous flyer it helps take my mind off of the flight and just enjoy good company. great video❤

Excellent recap of your experience! I had the pleasure of flying both legs in first class also departing from LAX. I was out there in early March for the Tokyo Marathon. Also on my return I had the exact same seat as you, seat 1D. Keep up the great content, always great seeing a fellow black man killing the points and miles game!

What an outstanding video. Just what I was looking for. I've used up almost all of my points traveling to South Africa and Europe over the past year with my husband. We've got to regroup. Lol I was looking at JAL to fly from Chicago to Singapore in the fall in economy or premium economy. Economy looked very doable. Thank you again. I defintely subscribed!

Love this video. My one point of advice for everyone is to avoid drinking alcohol when flying at 40,000 feet. Please drink up other times but not when traveling via air. Bad for your health and sanity. Check out various researchers reports for further studies. Enjoy your restful flight.

You're probably right with it being bad for your health, but it can be hard to resist $1,000 bottle of champagne when it is offered to you in first-class 😉

You're going to love the Park Hyatt Tokyo when you get a chance to stay there. I had high expectations, and it exceeded all of them. Choko will forever be with me as the best seat mate a person could ask for. Thanks for watching.

Since I was flying economy from LAX, I didn't have access to the Qantas lounge. But if you do fly F out of Los Angeles, that would definitely be a good option.

@David Ruiz First-Class was incredible! Economy was also surprisingly really good. Japan Airlines has been my best experience with any airline so far. Great service and food in each cabin 👏🏾

Long-haul flights I have always like the Business Class because of the space that is needed. Premium Economy is getting to be good on many airlines as well.

@LMays-cu2hp Premium Economy isn't bad, but Business class is the way to go for long-haul flights! It just makes the journey much smoother, and you feel good when you land.

@@jpknowledge8852 Hahaha! Yes, Business Class is very nice and worth. I know everyone can not afford that cabin selection and that is fine. So, Premium Economy, at the first rows of that cabin selection, there at the bulk head is and where you, if people in general can afford to be. But yes, now a days I am able to have Business Class on long-haul flights. ☺

Great video, first class will always be in my dreams for me but maybe one day. If you like champagne, try Lalique champagne. It's not $1000 a bottle, closer to $100 but it's my favourite. The only problem is that it's super hard to get hold of. Here in England, only 2 shops (both Lalique) sell it.

I was thinking about it, but they are doing a renovation of the hotel soon, so I don't think it will make much sense. But it is awesome! Highly recommend

You mind sharing how many points u spent for first class tickets I want to do something like this in the future with all these sign up bonuses 😊 chase or Amex points? Also I heard going from USA to Asia the food and service not as good. That’s why u booked Tokyo to Lax?

Sure! I booked it using Alaska Airlines miles. At the time, it was only 70k miles for first-class. Unfortunately, due to devaluation, it is now more expensive (85k-105k) depending on where you're flying from/to. I was told that they only serve the Salon Champagne when departing from Japan, so there are definitely some differences in the service depending on where you depart from.

I purchased it at Nordstrom. "Goorin Bros" is what it says on the inside. Never heard of the brand, just like the look 🤠

JAL first class isn’t as impressive as others like emirates. The flight attendant didn’t pour the $600 champagne bottle properly either or used champagne flutes. However I don’t think anyone can beat JAL economy price for price. Excellent review nonetheless

You're right! It wasn't a proper champagne glass, but I didn't mind. The staff was super nice, and the economy class is as good as I've ever experienced
