I can't speak for the modern woman, but for the Baby Boomer/Gen Xer, that's the man of our dreams.

    Couldn't a narcissist also come with same language? I think a woman saying slow down, let's learn each other before u start telling me u want to marry me shows she's actually serious about something serious. I mean I could be a psycho how u know u wanna marry me on the 1st date?🤔

  • @skyeburch

    @skyeburch

    Жыл бұрын

    @@salihahdick I see your point. I agree, we definitely must take our time when getting to know someone. I think the part about a healthy man is what distinguishes this. Once you take the time to see that the man is healthy I believe it’s best when he makes his intentions clear so that the woman can make a choice if she wants to move forward. Still moving forward with discernment and wisdom.

  • @skyeburch

    @skyeburch

    Жыл бұрын

    One other note: once he states his intentions, it’s not to say that he wants to marry you on the first date or you want to even marry him. It’s to say that he is dating for marriage, he is being intentional and if the two of you connect and are aligned then let’s keep getting to know each other and see if marriage is in our future. It’s more so mindset and then you see if the mind and the actions align.

    @politicomonsoon

    @@skyeburch I think the issue with that language not yours in particular but whenever someone says good or healthy or something that takes time to evaluate, is that everyone makes that determination on their own time and it's possible for a man to be absolutely healthy yet for a woman to not have verified that information about him and thus requiring him to slow down.

  • @skyeburch

    @skyeburch

    Жыл бұрын

    @@politicomonsoon I can see that. I think overall the guest wanted to highlight that healthy with clear intentions is positive. Caution should still be taken after intentions are made. If the man moves too quickly after stating his intentions, there’s nothing wrong with the woman communicating that. She should always use discernment even after intentions are stated.

    Take heart Anthony. Just like you had that moment where you said you’re tired of being the good guy. A lot of women have given men the benefit of the doubt that she has come to that feelings as well. She then gives up and goes back to what she KNOWS doesn’t serve her well. Then gets tired of them again, It’s a continuous cycle.

  • @chwash40

    @chwash40

    Жыл бұрын

    Key word I just read here, is a "cycle", not wanting to sound degrading nor off course, but take a female cycle for example, how it's naturally connected to the force of "God's " creative power, but is suppressed to yield to movement and preparation for life moving forward. Well when we male and female yields our lives to again what's naturally real( relationships), we place ourselves in the path of the force of " God's power. Something is going to happen in naturally if the forces of nature moves, but once restricted, controlled doesn't allow for it to be so. There is a scripture in the Bible that says," submit" to God, "resist" the devil, and he will flee from you.

I’ve grown spiritually by leaps and bounds even as a married woman that had direction prior to watching him. I am my husbands peace and I do NOT have an issue with honoring or submission to him, even as an Alpha female that knows how to sit in my feminine 😊. However, there were a few missing pieces that were so sublet, it could be overlooked or seem like nothing major. But RC- HA, with the help of God, was able to shed light on those areas. I honestly feel so complete and WHOLE from the inside - ALL I can say is Gratefulness!!! His eloquent words shinned a narrative to the order steps in my life…And the Truth made her free! 🎉🎉🎉

    Men have come to me the same “intentional” way and they were abusive… as a woman i have to be careful … this is seen as moving too fast… it is pressure when a man meets you and wants a relationship at once… i do not know you well enough… these men want to run through women and when they are ready they expect everyone to be ready too… notice how both of them talk about how they damaged women at first… but now expect us to be ready when they are… i am ready but i need to take my time and i need committing myself to someone to happen when the person prove themselves worthy… if a man cannot understand that then they can go find someone else… if that leaves me to be single, then so be it… a man needs to understand that men have hurt women…. They have caused that brokenness and now they need to accept that they cant just go around demanding commitment from the first conversation… they caused that friends first conversation… we have been conditioned …. So now feel what we felt and wait until we are comfortable…. The difference is, a lot of women are just trying to protect themselves and not trying to use men.

    Regarding the example of the woman that asked to take things slow. I see things differently. From a womans perspective it sounds like the young lady was trying to take things slow and remain sober minded. She didn't know you well, and wanted to take a measured approach without heavy expectations. Which I commend her for. You don't want a woman to be overly eager, or desire you for the wrong reasons. It sounds like you may have missed out on a possible gem. Try meeting a worthy woman where she is, by asking her questions. Find out what she means by what she says, why she came to that conclusion etc then get to know HER. Women are not microwaves just because you're ready for a wife and you tell her so dosent mean she's willing to instantly be your wife. Worthy women require patience, are cautious, and need sound reasons to give themselves to you.

I think it would help people from both sides get to a common ground. I always wanted Blakes and Samuels to engage with each other directly instead of bashing each others message. Samuels knew enough about the Bible to get his talking points in and Blakes would’ve been ruffled by that. Only difference between him and Jaxn message wise is delivery. Truth never minds being questioned. It’s lies that hate to be challenged. That’s the reason Blakes will never have a discussion publicly with anyone who doesn’t agree with him all the way. He would also be afraid of MTR as well because he would expose Blakes as charlatan for hiding behind the Bible to badmouth men. And being a “pastor” he should be wanting to have those discussions. Kevin Samuels would def kick RC’s behind in a debate. You can’t throw all the blame at men like Blakes does than be upset with someone else calling shady women out. Interesting that the woman who said she wanted to be just friends was seen as having broken consciousnesses. Many women/ men/couples/black/white/therapist/laymen, have been advising people to be just friends before getting into a relationship. And many couples share stories about how they started as friends first and it was a firm foundation. Is it possible she didn't have broken consciousness, she was just trying to be wise in following advise that has worked for others???

    She also called him him insecure and controlling. As a woman who is looking for marriage I would be alarmed if a guy said this to me on the first date without knowing anything about me. But if he said this on the third or fourth date and we spent time going deep and talking and God said this is your guy I would be fine with it. That doesn't mean we aren't still developing a friendship or that our relationship is going supersonic fast. It means I understand where we are going potentially. It still may not end in marriage but it means we have both communicated our intentions. Many men especially in Anthony's position wont even have a conversation. They want to be friends with the benefits of a girlfriend. So if the lady isn't ready for marriage then she should say that. And maybe then I would say she is just taking the advice of people. And of course we are only hearing his side.

    What an AMAZING conversation!!! So peaceful and honest! Thank you for having him on your show! Let me start by saying that most women don't have a problem with submitting, however we do have a problem submitting to someone who doesn't know who they are and where they are headed. As a woman in her mid thirties with no children, educated, own home etc. I have NO problem with submitting to the right man. I have other friends who are successful and they feel the same way. I think respect plays a HUGE part in this for both individuals. If the relationship is centered with GOD and both people are intentional, have understanding etc., submission will take place. Women who are alpha don't really want to be alpha. They want to step back and let a man lead, however when that's all you know, it's a little hard to break away from HOWEVER, it's NOT impossible. It takes the right man to SHOW her that you don't have to do it all and that "I got you" for real is when she will change. I recently heard a black therapist say this about his wife. When he showed her, she was able to let go little by little. Pastor Blakes said a mouthful about women & healing. If they aren't healed, then they won't see what you said as "hey this guy is serious." She will take it exactly like the woman you were dating did. I would LOVE for a brother to say what you said to me BUT more importantly, show it. Sign me up! lol .. What he said about men being taught that it was ok to be promiscuous, yet telling the women to keep herself is so true. I do agree that men and women often don't understand each other. Sorry for my comment being long. I can go on but I won't. Very good conversation. I can't wait to hear the conversation with all of the men. This will be enlightening for sure.

    Anthony, so many times I hear you ask questions and I wish we could speak. You're not wrong for wanting to show your integrity of intention, but telling a woman "Listen, I'm dating with the intention to marry" and she says let's be friends first, it just means she saying you're coming on too strong. You're wide open, full throttle. Some things you say to women have to be paced out and your masculinity should be tempered with finesse. P.S. I've been married 32 years, and I only knew him 6 months, and he wasnt my "type" but his approach won me over. Food for thought, young King...

He does not just use soundbites or create acronyms that tickle the ear or are even just "theoretical" or rehearsed. But, his counsel is based on his actual "practice" of what he shares. He has been a blessing to my life and the lives of so many for years now and truly comes across as someone who is genuinely led by God, operates with integrity, and seeks to improve the mindset and impact of all who have an ear to hear. Again, I commend you for having a person speaking on relationships who knows what he is talking about, has learned from his mistakes, has created a long-lasting marriage, and is therefore credible.👏👏👏

I didn't see anything wrong with that at all. In fact, I applaud you for being straight forward with her (and yourself). To me, that said way more about her (individually), and wasn't a negative against what you said. I think some people really don't understand that concept. It's like they view it as trying to force something, when that's not it at all. But that only works with women/men who have the same goal and mindset - marriage and family - whether it's with you or the next one.

    Definitely an interesting conversation. I just wanted to chime in regarding the why would she say let's be friends and see where things go? It is not necessarily because she is playing or broken, it is more than likely simply because she actually wants to get to know you and vice versa. Unfortunately, so many folks want to skip the steps and jump right into something without getting to know who the other person is and if they are compatible, if their goals, passions, character, values, etc. align. Believe it or not, many men approach with intentional language but as always the walk and talk have to line up for both parties. It is fundamentally wrong for a man to assume that just because he wants to be with a woman that she has to be in the same place at the same time (and vice versa). As much as we understand that men are "hunters", know that she has to choose you too. Everybody ain't for everybody and anyone dating with intention, is looking for a partner for life and for the journey....It is not a me Tarzan, you Jane type of situation.... Get to know the woman, give it time, let it breathe and show her who you are...be honest and consistent, be discerning....If y'all are a good match, trust that God will let you both know and give you peace about it.

    Thank you and I agree. I didn't think her statement of let's be friends was a bad one or had to be from a broken place. She might just know what she wants at that time in her life and marriage may not be this time.

    Because some ignorant men are having to much "FUN" with each other laughing about how they are using women. Thank God for Bishop R C Blake's, Amen

    You two are speaking of the energies that males and females are made of. Every culture or should I say geometric area calls it something different, like Yan and Yen, but the energies flows because they flows one with another. Water is powerful, but it follows the channels set before it, instead of wasting energy and time to force a path.
