Still alive, had a rough patch + a personal win!

Another long overdue update! Thank you all for being so wonderful and supportive!
The bulletpoints:
- Mostly done with my first month on immunotherapy trial
- Big rash as a side effect, but steroid cream helps!
- Had a rough 3 weeks with GI stuff...but mostly better now
- Completed my life's work -- a self-treatment course for low back pain
- Every day is still the best day ever!
- Next big event: tumor biopsy on December 13th
IMPORTANT LINKS!
- The Fixable Back Course: www.Fixable.me This is the exact approach I use with my patients, to get them out of pain, and keep their pain from coming back. If you have low back pain and it's not going away, this approach beats the pants off everything else I've seen!
- CBD gummies for sleep! I use the brand Hometown Hero (made right here in Austin!), and take the Peak Delta-8 Gummies: hometownhero.sjv.io/y25vBy NOTE: These are 100 mg per gummy - I split each gummy into 4 pieces (25 mg each), and only take 25 mg about an hour before bed. For me, they make me extremely relaxed, and feel like I’ve had about 3 glasses of wine. I wouldn’t take more than 25 mg at first, for sure. But they help me fall asleep faster, and stay asleep better than anything I’ve used so far!
- My favorite hamstring stretch! If you have low back pain, start here! (And you’ll see my brother John demonstrating the stretch!): • Doorway Hamstring Stretch
- Self-massage for hips & glutes (also great for low back or hip pain!): • My guidelines for hip ...
Hoping all of you have a glorious, safe holiday season,! From my family to yours :)

@@DrDanSays : Thank for your upbeat videos . I'm sorry I forgot to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY . Dan , I hesitate to mention this , because I don't know if your surgeons told you ; people who have had their rectums removed build up a ton of mucus and at times it builds up in people preventing them from emptying their bowel . It happens with colostomies too . May be it's a motility issue , but you have it under control. The man who told you about stent for the pancreatic duct is absolutely right . I thought your physicians told about the stent ? But now that you know - do it if it's safe , the duct is behind your liver connecedt to the common bile duct and adjacent to to the duct coming off the gallbladder. But you probably know this already . Take care and stay well . 🙏👍♥️

I lost my 21 year old Grandson, Wylie, on Nov 19, this year. We laid him to rest, a week ago. He fought ALL ( Acute lymphoblastic leukemia) for nearly 2years. He had the best Drs at MD Anderson in Houston, Tx. He was on life support more than once. He was on life support for one month, when he died. Even on life support, his ❤ gave out. He fought so hard and me and my family are grieving as you can imagine. He realized his need for a Savior and found Salvation about 3 weeks before he died. We know he is with Jesus, in Heaven, and all the loved ones that were prepared when they died. That gives us comfort but we will miss him so much, until we see him again. Knowing that he’s happier than he’s ever been makes us grateful because he is no longer suffering. Love & Prayers to you. ♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻

Wonderful stories about how person after person who was sent home to die, recovered, and how they got there. Highly recommend it :-)

I'm wondering if certain cancers are caused by dysbiosis in the gut, and maybe that's why certain antibacterial medications are effective at treating certain cancers. Now I know its hard to keep weight on with cancer so maybe instead of doing multi-day fasts, you could try extra virgin olive oil shots spread throughout the day keeping sugars as low as possible while keeping calories up.

You are making me feel so good, Dr Dan. I am early on the journey with grade 5 (worst) prostate cancer but due to my lifestyle choices (no alcohol, drugs of any kind e.g. coffee for my whole life), weight low (62kgs for 181cms), no smoking and fit, my cancer only doubles in size every 1.5 years. My resting heart rate is 45 - triggers alarms whenever I go to hospital. This is due to lifetime barefoot running and, for the past 12 years, on the soft flat sand of my beach - I call it 25 minutes of interval training without the intervals! Plus walking (all-day marching rate 7.3km/h) and cycling everywhere - my heart rate variability easily exceeds 65. I switched from vegetarian to vegan as soon as I discovered that prostate cancer loves milk. And of course no sugar of any kind except in naturally occurring fruits and vegetables (but no concentrated forms like juice). Apparently only 4% of prostate cancer get to the ideal spot for maximzing the fight (80% imnproved chances) but I'm there at the starting blocks, as I imaginne you were too - hence your incredible resiliance during one horrible year of chemo. I can only imagine! I didn't know the thing about heart rate as a guide. I thought it was just general fitness, thanks for that. In the past four months my weight dropped by about 10kgs from 72 before, which was slightly below where it should ideally be. It was due to the immense sadness I felt that the life I had planned was now never going to be, regardless of the cancer outcome. However, in the process I did research deeply into cancer. I am sure you've heard of Theradontics. This is an amazing new avenue, as is immunotherapy which has saved 2 of my closest relatives in the past 3 years. Basically, the stuff you are on, if it works that will be the end of your cancer because your body itself will seek out and destroy every cell. They have recently discovered a drug which activates immunotherapy even for cold cancers like prostate. I want to give you one specific item of support in your tremendous, inspiring battle. That is, it shocked my prejudices to discover that the USA actually has the best, most advanced, most forward-thinking health system in the world. You are in the ideal place. Had I been so lucky, the first stage of fighting an aggressive variant of prostate cancer would have included the amazing new drug darylutamide. Unfortunately here in Australia we have to wait for it to spread before chucking the kitchen sink at it.

You are stronger than most Dr. Dan! I admire your ability to stay positive throughout this terrible Cancer battle. Everyday you remain on this planet is a testimony to your character and will to survive. I am placing all my chips on the fact that you will be among the living well past March 2024. Let's Go Dr. DAN !!!!!👍🙏❤

I'm thinking of you....I've had so many health issues....I get it.....I'm in the medical community on top of it also. Draw as much joy and happiness from your family and us on your down moments....it always helps me....I have chronic pancreatitis, I've had colon cancer, thyroid and gallbladder started too. I was on TPN for 5 years. Of course I'm 28 years into all of this. So my potassium levels are better. But nothing works right GI wise. But I'm giving my best every day. I will send hugs and blessings every day. God bless you 🩵

I remember watching your video a year or so ago, I don't know how I came upon it, I was not searching for cancer related videos. Since I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Had a sigmoid resection. Only found in a polup but still had 1 foot of my colon removed to be safe. Horrible GI side effects now. But thats just me. I thought i was done with this cancer then I lost my mother at 83. Fifteen years ago my 15 year old daughter had stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma, she is now 31. I thought we where done with this disease but no. I got it too. You are an inspiration, amazing attitude, you give me hope. I hope you stay with us, the world needs more people like you.

Dearest man you are! ❤ Iam very glad you are hanging in there! Those are very powerful chemo drugs! Thankgoodness! Thats what is needed to conquer those nasty cancer cells. The side affects are horrible though. I made sure I never ran out of the nausea pills my oncology dr had me on. Those were a necessary help that brought me alot of comfort. ❤😊
