I have been watching your KZread videos for a while good honest reviews. The STIHL battery powered stuff is really good 👍 I love using this little saw I have a 10” inch bar on mine use it for small firewood cuts and also use one handed 😲 I suppose everyone else does to. You have the best job reviewing STIHL products keep up the good work and stay safe.

Nicely done video! I use a Stihl MSA 200 C-BQ for trail building here in the Canadian Rockies. Excellent saws for sure. Light enough to carry all day in my backpack on foot or on a mtn bike or motorcycle. Amazing how long the batteries last also. Not nearly as powerful as a gas saw but you’d be surprised what they can cut through. Thanks for the review!

Nice review and good content. You should mention the battery +1.7kg and aswell there is a bag with cable to avoid the weight on the hand. Did you have issues with the chain ? Some mention that the drivetrain is to wide and allows they chain to hop if its getting hot and longer.

Yesterday I use both the Sthils 220 and the 161 T battery power, the wood was oak and sure not big trees mostly limbs. what is almost unbelievable is that the same battery on 161T lasts twice as long.

When I purchased my battery saw, I thought I was probably making a mistake with this "toy". It is NOT just a "toy", it is a JOY to use and really works great. I have had it for several years now and used it a lot for small jobs. Mine is from a company that make a large variety of companion tools; trimmers, blowers, snow removal, mowers, zero turn rider mowers, hedge trimmers, etc., all using same battery types. Very convenient.

Any saw you hold becomes hot saw! Love your vids provide excellent information especially for someone like me who just getting into forestry and owning my own gear I've operated chainsaws before but at the end of the day they were always handed off to someone else for maintenance and upkeep but with the passing of my uncle I was left with about 17 professional model chainsaws which include the entire 3xp line of husky saws 357 , 362, 372, 395 , and the big one which believe is 1327 xp or something like that , it has 48 inch bar on it so I've never had a need to touch it I mainly use the 372xp jonsered 2188 and the jonsered2172 .

I often have to prune about 90 large full size 11 foot cherry trees per day with about 30 cuts per tree, that meant using about 6 fuel up's per day on the 150T, even with the high quality premium fuel from gas stations that means breathing in the toxic additives that can cause many serious health issues, but while the Stihl gas pre mix is far better it is like smoking cigarets all day. I switched to the 161T and my health conditions and energy level and sleep improved greatly in a few weeks, also there is less vibration on the hands. with the amount of cuts I do, I still do wear some ear protection, but at the same time its good to hear the sound of the electric motor and chain.

This might be old news but I just found it. (STIHL is recalling arborist chainsaw MSA 161 T. This recall concerns chainsaws with serial numbers from 438089138 up to and including 439360915. Using this chainsaw, when gripping the machine, the shift lever may be pushed over without the lock button is pressed. After pushing it over, the shift lever may get stuck.Feb 28, 2019) Love your videos.

I’m a fan of the 150 after some mods I’ve posted with recommendations to not do what I have done on film but it’s a hell of a saw. Not for woodcutting porpoises in mind 😂😂😂. I doubt the power. Plus I try and keep it as old school as possible because I’m an American lol. Get ya a 200T sister. It’s a real good tree cuttin tool to add to the tool box. Might make your heart skip a bit at 60ft span rigging over a home with a good bit of timber on the rigging but you’ll be ok.

In the UK a top handle saw is only supposed to be used aloft (not on the ground) and only by people specially qualified to do so. Most suppliers would refuse to sell one to someone without the right licence.
