Stihl ms362 Standard vs. Husqvarna 562xp "Cookie-N"

Ойын-сауық

So seen here still testing the 362 and 562 post operation to see how the procedures took.
This test-drive is in a perpendicular stance to the bole. In the previous comparison the attitude was ripping, where the 362 struggled with the chip management but had a little worse go of it in the knot section. Power is still great though.
The 362 had two good knot runs where the 562 had one equal and one slightly less as mentioned in the video dialog.
State of tune for the 362 is the Psy-Ko zippkit. That kit is 5th on the list in the different levels of work done. The 562 is sporting the Insane-O SS kit which is 4th. The 362 is ~ 1cc less in displacement for 59.0cc, rated at 4.69hp and tipping the scales @ 12.3lbs. The 562 has 59.8cc, rated at 4.7hp and weighing in @ 13.4lbs. All these numbers are per the manufacturer's printed literature.
Both saws are sporting combustion chamber work and the flow tricks also.
Honorable mention; the stock HD2 air filter on the 362 was replaced with a much better performing K & N so it also has the advantage there.
I "Got Flow"-ed the 562 so it was somewhat equal air volume wise.
Times runs were pretty close as far as I could tell.
I'm currently available for custom saw modifications. If you are interested, please shoot me an email.

    Copy, remember now. I like the KISS methodology and the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy. One thing though, unless a guy has both/all saws right there, exeriencing the same atmospheric conditions while running the same bar and chain it is purdy hard to tell "who's is badder". Padraic hi. I'm not sure about your 55's weight. Seen where they are 11.4 pounds. The 562s come in at 13.3. HP differential is 3.4 vs 4.7 as far as I know. In the end, a lot of difference in weight but the hp advantage of the 562 is huge. The Stihl ms362s are in the middle at 12.3 pounds. Even though their hp rating is 4.69/7 (depending upon where you look) they, like most of the new Stihl chainsaws, are lacking in lowend power imho. Currently, the company seems to going for the rpms rather than torque. The Echos are a non smog saw and weight about the same as the 562. They have good lowend power also. The 6100 Makita is around 13.2 pounds with 4 6 hp. It's a smog saw but uses a different delivery method of introducing the raw air. I think it works, coupled with other design characteristics, better than what is seen in the Husky & Stihl saws - which are almost identical. You can get a wrap handle in all as far as I know. Thanks for watching.

  • @hotsaws101

    @hotsaws101

    2 жыл бұрын

    Andrea hi. The 560 is the European version of a 562 - what is available in North American. Many factors to consider: Dealer support locally. Which dealer you want to spend your hard earned dollars with. The bar mount that is currently in the collection. Whether or not there are saws with similar part in the collection already. Saw mass may be a consideration. The 562 is arguably at the top of the heap "powa" wise but also at the top of the heap weight wise. Cost might be a selling, "buying", point. If the saw will remain stock or whether the owner intends to zipp it. If end result top tier HP after a saw shop makeover is important then a couple of the current choices are better. Ergonomics. They all "handle" a little bit differently in your meathooks. Visual. Some like the look of certain color schemes better than others. For the 1st time or random buyer - I'd "fondle" a few and ask to use one of my chains in a demo operation to get a feel for both maneuverability & power. Thanks for watching.
