Chinese and english recipe/ instructions below :
材料: 2 碗料
1. 1 杯量米杯泰國糯米 = 140 克 = 4. 9 oz, 洗淨, 用冷開水浸 6 小時後, 濾出, 備用.
炒材料:
1. 2 條臘腸, 用溫水洗去塵, 中間切開切片
2. 30 粒蝦米, 洗淨
3. 2 粒瑤柱, 洗淨, 浸水後撕開, 浸水留用
4. 3 個中冬茹, 去蒂, 洗淨, 浸水至軟切粒, 浸水留用
5. 1 條青蔥, 洗淨, 切分白, 綠片粒
6. 1 旦雞蛋, 打勻後加入半茶匙油混合
調味 1
1. 50 ml 水 = 1. 70 fl oz, ( 浸瑤柱和冬茹水, 不夠加水 ),
2. 半茶匙雞粉
調味 2
1. 1 茶匙紹興酒
2. 1 茶匙蠔油
3. 1 茶匙生抽
4. 1/3 茶匙糖
5. 7 茶匙水 ( 先放入 5 茶匙 ) 餘下 或許會用
6. 少許胡椒粉
7. 1/3 茶匙鹽
Ingredients for 2 bowls of rice :
1. 140 gram = 4.9 oz, Thai glutinous rice, wash and soak in the water for 6 hours then sieve out the water
Fry ingredients:
1. 2 chinese sausages, wash with warm water, divide in middle and cut into slices
2. 30 small dried shrimps, wash
3. 2 dried scallops, wash and soak in water, tear it into small pieces
4. 3 medium size chinese mushrooms,remove stems, wash and soak in water until soft, cut in small dices
5. 1 spring onion, wash and divide cut white, green parts
6. An egg, beaten add in 1/2 tsp oil
Seasoning 1.
50 ml water = 1. 70 fl oz, ( including the soaking scallops and chinese mushrooms ), or add some more water
seasoning 2.
1. 1 tsp shaoxing wine
2. 1 tsp oyster sauce
3. 1 tsp light soy sauce
4. 1/3 tsp sugar
5. 7 tsp water ( only use 5 tsp, another 2 tsp for reserve, maybe no need )
6. a pinch of pepper
7. 1/3 tsp salt

Great recipe and video. This is the first time I've seen anyone actually stir fry the glutenous rice from the raw state. Thanks.
@wantanmien i want to say thanks for posting this recipe i made it yesterday with most ingredients except dry shrimp because i didn't have them. i enjoyed cooking this dish it was simple and easy and very tasty, next time i will make more, 2 cups of rice. Thanks again for sharing your delicious recipe i will look at your other recipes and let you know when make more.

Hi Maria, I've been saving a lot of your recipes, but this is the first recipe I am actually cooking! I was looking for something with glutinous rice from you and I found this. I didn't soak the rice for 6 hrs coz I want to eat it now. So I soaked only about 1.30 hr. I followed most of the recipe except the scallop coz I dont have it. So I used more dried mushroom instead. After stir fried the rice for some time, I transfered it in the rice steamer. It's cooking now. I am sure it'll taste great!
You are welcome. You can use regular white rice but the taste is not the same :)

Hi, can I mix glutinous rice with white rice to cook this dish? Do I need to soak the white rice the same number of hours as the glutinous rice. How about the ratio or must it be 50-50 mix? Thank you

Wow 6 hours is a long time, what does soaking it in the water for that long do?
What kind of sauce did you pour in?
@snazzysteveT Hi, the mushroom around 6 tbsp warm water, soak for 1 hour. For the dried scallops, around 5 thsp warm water also soak for an hour. ( is depending for the ingredients how big or small, maybe little more or less water, also the time ) Thank you that you will try my recipe. Have fun

@cutie3cka Hi, did you fellow my instructions? turn to medium heat, add 50 ml chicken powder water and seasoning 2, around 9 mins stir - fry is nearly done or it done, if not add 1 or 2 tsp water continue stir - fry. Please try again :-)

I would suppose during the cooking process, you just need to add more water and take more time with it. It may help to cover it and let it steam a bit after you add the water too.

I have soaked my glutinous rice for 6hrs, but it's still very uncooked after frying. I have to transfer them to rice cooker, add water to cook it. Any idea what's wrong?
