The thing about Harry is that he took a step back from the whole modern boy band thing and turned his persona into his own unique style. He incorporates a modern feel with a sort of old school romanticism. He has a wonderful voice and a unique perspective. I really like him and he seems to be on top of the world playing with Stevie Nicks. Who wouldn't be?

Despite people saying Harry wasn't worthy to sing with her, he did an amazing job. He wasn't trying to be the amazing Tom Petty. He loves Stevie and looks up to her so much. His cover of The Chain was on his 2018 tour's setlist every night. He exposes so many younger fans to old, great music like Stevie, Fleetwood Mac, and so much more and inspires them to explore 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's rock they probably wouldn't have been exposed to otherwise, as he did when putting these types of songs on his Beats 1 playlist this week. Fans are listening to what he listens to and discovering legendary music because of him.

I am one of Tom Petty’s biggest fans. Like posters hanging in my bedroom fan. And while it is so hard to hear anyone else sing this with Stevie, I respect Harry for the talented vocalist and musician that he is in his own right. He sounds good with Stevie and if someone had to stand in for Tom, I’m glad it was him. I think he admires Tom and Stevie and I love that.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, he admires Stevie, and by now the admiration is mutual. She even called him her and Mick Fleetwood's love child. Harry grew up on Fleetwood Mac's music, Stevie was/is his idol. They performed together at least 3-4 more times beside this event (Landslide, Leather and Lace) Once he joined the whole band, singing The Chain together with Lindsey Buckingham.

But with that being said, and this kid simply filling in- (as it’s a sad fact that Tom can no longer)... he did a righteous job of the song with Stevie Nicks. Maybe this will even cause some Harry fans to learn who Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac are! Then a new experience will open up to them to be able to hear some amazing music that otherwise they wouldn’t have ever had the opportunity to know of. There’s no reason for us not to see this as a positive collaboration ❤️✌️

Similarly, I hope a lot of Stevie Nicks fans discover Harry Styles. She recently compared his newest album to Rumours and they’re great friends in real life and play together frequently now. There’s a reason so many legends love him- he’s legitimately great. I was never a fan of One Direction and have always gravitated more toward classic rock than most contemporary music, but have loved all of Harry’s solo work.

Harry actually performed ‘the chain’ on his last tour and mentions all of the musicians he looks up to and admire which has helped me broaden my music taste so much! I’m a massive fan of his and your statement is completely true :)) !

Harry performing Landslide and Leather & Lace with Stevie at the Troubadour in 2017 right when his solo career was starting and then singing The Chain as part of his tour set list really got his fan base into Fleetwood Mac and Stevie. She is highly revered within the fandom. He had a show in LA in December last year (2019) and they lost their shit when she came on stage. This performance and him giving her induction speech just cemented it and added to their journey.

I'm glad this kid was able to break away from the boy band dynamic and shine in his own right. He's a talented performer.

This is bittersweet for me, I've grown up listening to Fleetwood Mack and Stevie Nicks and I'm 50 now, but it's totally heartening that Harry Styles is so very intent on, well rocking it well.

I LOVE Stevie Nicks, Tom would've been proud because this kid did a DAMN good job!

I'm old enough to be a contemporary of Miss Stevie Nicks and seeing Harry Styles perform this classic with her is absolutely awesome.

I’ve come to see the light with Harry. He’s pretty amazing in most everything he does.

He is a legend in the making, or maybe already made. I will enjoying sitting back over the next few decades growing old watching Harry perform. This man will stand the test of time. His style, class and old soul coupled with his talent are second to none in recent years of new talent

Harry Styles is the most genuine celebrity of his generation and his talent will stand the test of time! He’s just getting started with his dual careers and he’s going to become a living legend ... He’s already an iconic performer and he deserves the acclaim he receives! People need to quit underestimating him, just because he was in a boy band! Still in love with Stevie Nicks after 40 years . Spellbinding timeless beauty and grace but most of all her voice is as powerful and haunting as ever . Such respect to her from a young man in 20' s who though being such a gifted vocalist himself allowed her to be the star of this remarkable performance.

Hate to admit it but love Harry. He does so many classics and does then so well. He is super talented. Agree with other reviewer that he brings his own spin.

don’t hate to admit it! he’s a super genuine dude with a lot of talent that goes so much further than the boyband persona, and a lot of the songs that he wrote for that boyband are also very good. i love that he brings influences into his music from other eras and mixes it with newer sounds. it takes a lot of talent.

I think..Harry will be R&R hall of fame winner

I was born and raised listening to 70's 80's 90's rock. And I'm only 15, it was the only music I listen to. A lot of people on here are saying this song opened up legendary music. But for me, this opened up music that is going on now. After I heard this, I checked out Harry styles and it's opened up a whole world of music for me.

He won a Grammy last year. I think he's earned his place in the music industry. On top of that, he's gorgeous and has a ❤ of gold.

I'm 52 yrs old & Harry Stiles really isn't my cup of tea...but my 16 yr old daughter has gotten me to listen to some of his songs since he has gone solo & I have to admit...THIS YOUNG MAN HAS TALENT DRIPPING OF OF HIM!!! My wife & I got our daughter tickets to see One Direction in New Orleans in 2015 & now she has tickets to see Harry Stiles Sept 28th in Nashville...I hope she has as good a time as she did in 2015!!! Oh wow Randy I'm originally from Mobile too!! Such a beautiful old city!! Proud 64 year old fan of Harry!! His new album comes out on May the 1st 2022. I hope your daughter had a good time at the concert. As wildly popular as he has become on his own his concert tickets are going to be hard to get.
