I think he was making a joke - traditionally backstage at the Roman Colosseum, the gladiators would be nervous before they went on to perform.

As a singer for over 30 years I hope people realize just how phenomenal of vocal performance this is. Live. No auto tune BS.

I just seen a post on fb about them playing with s Tyler. Did not say when so looked it up and found this. I found 2 chellos several yrs ago. I had to watch.

It's sad that all these great singers getting older. There's nobody out there close to being that great. The 70's produced such great singers. Steven Tyler is now 75. It forces me to admit my age. At 68 I'm still love concerts, play my guitar and I realize.I'm too old to be a rock great(what I wanted to always be) I'm content now to be the crazy grandma to my grandkids. I told my grandson when I die he gets my instruments and learn piano and guitar. He asked me when that will be. With all his 11 years of innocents.

Not a huge Aerosmith fan but that was really awesome! The cellos closed the deal. Steven hasn't lost a step, still looks and sounds great. Watched it about 10x

I will never forget seeing Steven and Aerosmith play at my high school dance in Claremont, NH. They were great, then Steven said, we are going to go to Boston to record this next song, and he hoped we would like it. It was 'Dream On'. That was the only time I saw them live. I am now 65 1/2 and I can't remember how old I was when I went to that dance. I will never forget it, and I will never forgive myself for not paying more attention to them, as I was paying attention to all the cute boys at the dance. Love you Steven!

Death is not a stranger to me...I lost 3 family members, within a 5 year span. I feel your hurt. Just know, Psalms 46:10.... Be still, and know that I Am GOD! Keeps me focused. My brother committed suicide in 2003. As the military man, he was, he once told me......unfuck yourself, and get up on your feet! Best advice I've ever received! God speed, Steven! Our legacy, is all we have! And yes, you have a BIG one! 🥰

How does he do it? He’s one of a few rock singers that made it to his 70s without losing the high notes. It’s so sad knowing that when all these rock legends pass on, there is hardly anyone to pass the torch on to. Music today isn’t even in the same competition, let alone the same league.

Dream On was the very first song I ever recorded on a little cassette player with 5 buttons when I was a kid. I remember thinking this is the most amazing song I’ve ever heard and got emotional but didn’t know why. I still get that same feeling every time I hear the start of it and love it! It’s very moving. Thank you Steven Tyler !

OMG I grew up listening to this band. If I didn't buy the record or listen to him on the radio I couldn't hear him. Thank God for you tub. As of 2024n Steven is 76 years old. It's hard to believe. Still performing like a rock star!

There is no other singer from rock and roll in the 1970's that can still sing within their original voice and range. This IS the ONLY man that can.... No trainer, no money, no surgeons and no nutritionists, no matter what can do this for you.

Dream on has got to be one of my favorite songs of all time.

holy crap, he can still hit those notes! The super high falsetto is even tough as hell to hit, and he did.

This is what you call talent... I come from a musical family. Back in the day, a song would get recorded with all the band playing, just trying to capture that raw energy that is ROCK AND ROLL. It didn't matter really, because we all had our run at the parties and the clubs so we knew what we wanted to sound like on tape. CHEERS TO ALL WHO LOVE IT LOUD!

I’m a 73 year old lady and WOW just had to share this with my kids and grandkids cause how can beat a concert in the ancient Coliseum in Italy. Steven Tyler, a whole orchestra, a choir , two awesome cello players and two great rock songs BRILLIANT!!!

Vesna Hill are you fucking kidding me? Steven Tyler is one of the greatest rock vocalists and he sang amazingly and hit the high notes amazingly too. The dude sang like this in his late 70s!!! I can't imagine 2 Cellos performing like this at his age.

Only one thing missing for it to be absolute perfect, the drums. Not the same without 'em. Steven still got it! Perfect performance!!

been an Aerosmith fan since the 70s we played Get Your Wings album..on cassette tape.. over and over on a huge boom box blasting it with tons of us teens hanging out. Never knew Steven Tyler had Italian roots. A fellow paisano and pure rock legend. Thank you for great lifelong memories of a great time I wish I can go back to.

@@ps_nyisgone I do too. The 70's was a wonderful time to grow up in America. I wish the youth of today could grow up when I did. They would never worry about cell phones and technology. My generation was so much happier and at peace than now.

Love the Cello’s! Just awesome! Tyler is a talented guy! And one of the great rock front men of all time. I was in high school when that song came out. Aerosmith has endured and still rocks. Love it!

The cellists will never play with anyone again that is as good as Steven Tyler!! They were very fortunate and they did a fantastic job. The background singers not so good...Just needed him and the cellists, no one else.

You two cellos have played with the best of the bands and rock ‘n’ roll with awesome especially this one was Steven Tyler he was amazing when I used to listen to him all the time but me I love all kinds of music I have forever I dig out the best thank you for sharing this video have a great day

I grew up loving Steven Tyler/Aerosmith. I wish they would have given more acknowledgment to the two cello players. They were both very enthusiastic about it. There is another version of this song with The Southern California Children’s Chorus. Real good! I believe it was in tribute to the Boston Marathon tragedy. BOSTON STRONG!

Now if this does not bring tears to your eyes check your pulse!! Humans like that do not come around every day so let us rejoice in the presence.

When your him you can do that. That entire roster could have done anything they desired and why? Well because they are so damn legendary that you need to be yourself when invited to play THE ROMAN COLOSSEUM. The only venue that has close to that kind of clout is Wembley...Maybe?

The strength of Steven's voice even after so many years of singing with such intensity simply amazes me. He's extremely talented and very humble. Love him so much. 💐🙏🏽❤️

I live Steve Tyler and I especially love this song. I wish this was just Steve, his piano and the cellists. Th choir singers just did not get it. No matter, I love this man! ♥️ Thanks for this!☺️

With what passes for musical talent today, it's refreshing to see the idols of my adolescence can still rock out in their '70s. Thanks Steven and the rest of the Aerosmith band for many great memories.

@@Purplexity-ww8nb another music snob. Point is the exact same was said in the seventies. That it wasn’t music, it was just noise and screaming and the music itself was poorly done. My brother was a classical pianist and a PhD in music. Much of what first came around was pretty simple written by people with little formal training. Eventually it matured. But the criticism was exactly what you expressed. No difference in the criticism from the music snobs. I enjoy all types of music, the music elites are all the same. And it’s throughput history. Opera, chamber music, country western, jazz, rock and roll and everything after; all met with it’s critics. I have a great life, no wasting time judging things. But you do you.

Seeing this legend, "Steven Tyler" reminds me with Ronnie Radke, a singer, a pianist, and a very talented songwriter too. Next, I would like to see 2CELLOS with Ronnie Radke too.
